On August 20th I took my car to El Carburador for a second opinion I was told by a mechanic from South El Monte where Im staying at that I needed to rebuilt my engine head and that was going to cost me $1200 dollars in order to fix the check engine light and that my car was going to over heat if I didnt fix it right away the mechanic from El Carburador, Sergio diagnosed my vehicle within a couple of hours and told me I was being scammed by another mechanic and my engine was okay and that all I needed was to replace my gas cap and spark plug wires. He replaced my oil and the total price was $135 including parts and labor. I highly recommend this place thank you Sergio.

Awesome workplace. I had my breaks fixed. I also called for a towing because I lost my keys and was scared to leave my car in the parking lot of freaking smart&finale since it could get towed but this place sent a tow truck driver that night and they had a locksmith ready up a new set of keys for me the next morning. Super fast and the workers are all very welcoming/understanding. 10/10 status forsure.

I brought in my 2009 Toyota Camry because it was constantly overheating. The mechanic was able to quickly diagnose the problem and advised me to replace the water pump. He not only fixed the problem on my vehicle but he returned my vehicle in a timely manner and took care of the overheating issue. It’s been two months and I haven’t had any overheating problems. I highly recommend this shop to anyone having car trouble.

DON’T go here!!!I went to Sergio because my car had trouble starting. He told me right away “this car has this type of problem I know what it is and I will fix it.”Right before he fixed my car, he asked me “it’s going to cost $400, that is the estimate would you like me to fix it?” I responded, Yes.The very next day, after he “fixed it,” I had the same issue! I took it back to him and he said don’t worry “I will fix it.” He kept the car for an entire month and kept telling me that I would be done that same week.He finally told me your car is ready. He never gave me an estimate or told me that it would be more money because he said “ I would fix it.” Before I go, he called me and told me Its going to be another $450! He never give me an estimate and never told me it was going to be more money. I asked him, “why didn’t you call me and tell me the estimate?” All he said was, “I thought you wanted it fixed.”

This place ripped me off. I took my 2007 Tahoe here to get fixed from a lifter. I was advised to change the oil pump and paid for all new lifter I was given a 6 month warranty on the job and it never was fixed right a week later I had the same issue I was told it was a defective lifter so Sergio fixed it... one week later another lifter is stuck and Sergio the main mechanic says that the part is defective because they bought parts from Clark’s auto part I call Clark’s and they said they never herd of a defective lifter so the mechanic was paid 1900$ for nothing amd now he says he has to charge me again because it’s not his responsibility..... !!!DONT DO business here and if you do make sure you have everything in writing

I took my truck to these guys I had a check engine light on they fixed it with in one hour did my oil change in maintenance rotate my tiresVery friendly staff I give them 5 stars I highly recommend them

We have a FORD F350 Long bed for work and nobody would Tow us until we called El Carburador! He is very kind and professional! Nobody would pick us up because they said our truck was too long or heavy, but this guy went above and beyond for my husband and I and his rates are very reasonable. HIGHLY recommend his service.

I brought my car in for a check up because i had a strong misfire. (i previously went somewhere else and was told that the compression on my engine was low and that i was going to be needing an engine soon)i dropped off my vehicle and i received a phone call 2 hours later and the mechanic told me i had to go and take a look at what he found..my spark plugs were fouled. soaked in oil. and 2 coils were damaged.after replacing my valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, and 2 coils, my car runs great.. no more misfire.. its been about a week .im glad i found this place... :)))

Please dont go here. Just avoid it altogether. If you need your vehicle worked on with something serious theyll either give you the run around or will take your money but never fix your vehicle. I dropped my car off a month ago. Left a deposit for it to be fixed. Came back many times within three weeks, car was never touched. I finally took my car back after 3 1/2 wks. Went back for my deposit and have been getting avoided for another week. car is still messed up and dont have my full deposit back yet.

Do not let yourself lie! It took more than 3 weeks in supposedly fixing the car. They asked for more money to fix more things that the car supposedly needed. In the end they did not fix it well and I had to take it with another mechanic. Do not let yourself lie, or steal your money!
