I just had the most fantastic interaction with Petosa accordions. Joey Petosa himself helped me with finding an accordion teacher and providing some great resources as I venture into the world of accordion. They sell new and used instruments and they also rent them if youre a beginner and just starting to learn what works best for you. Super low pressure and they just want people to enjoy making music.
Went there to try to sell an old used accordion. They were very helpful and honest. Told me the bellows were moldy and I needed to just throw it out. I asked what it would have been worth if not moldy and they told me nothing. Long drive but worth not moving it again.
I haven’t ever been to their store, it was an online purchase, but you wouldn’t believe the great care Ray took in helping me get what I wanted and making sure I had what a I needed. Excellent customer care, great packing and shipping and the price was great. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again (actually, just ordered some dust covers) or recommend them to others. I just wished I lived close enough to visit and say thanks in person. (Sorry, posted this under the wrong account before, needed to get it right.) :)
Excellent customer service, Highly recommend! Extremely happy with my Petosa Little Pro XT Musette accordion: Top-notch, sounds amazingly beautiful!
Very pleased with the Petosa cathedral converter 160 bass quint. A high quality instrument. It has a lovely timbre, evenly speaking throughout the range and well balanced with smooth keyboard action. I like the tight classical tuning and the even intonation across the range of treble reeds. The Hv is not too strident and provides a tasteful variation in sound quality without sounding like a bland open 5th chord on very note. There are of course quint overtones from the harmonic series produced in all vibrating reeds but in this accordion there is better control of the chorus.I am very happy with configuration of the bass layout. In particular in the stradella mode of the converter has both the 1&2 and 3&4 rows as single bass notes with the standard 4 rows of chords on rows 5,6,7 & 8. This is a really handy extension to the regular stradella techniques, breaking away from the constraint of a single octave at one’s disposal. In my opinion merely duplicating rows 7 & 8 to fill out the space is a lost opportunity and adding an augmented chord row which displaces the alignment is annoying and un musical. The quint layout extends the scope for the accordion, for all genres of music though traditionally embraced for the classical repertoire, and aligning the KB overlay between modes facilitates seamless switching on the hoof.In FB mode there is a very smooth transition across the rows and runs through the 4 octaves without the major tonal jumps one usually hears when manufacturers try to cover the range by incorporating unbalanced reed blocks or folding back, of necessity in smaller instruments. In this case there are enough reeds available obviating a need to compromise.Great jazz sound though the capacity of this giant is ideal for application in chamber music. JS Bach would likely have bought a Petosa Cathedral converter and in the days of baroque, harpsichord would have never taken off as a standard continuo instrument facing competition from the accordion.
I have to say: Good... Better... Petosa Accordions!!! I am very happy that I met Joe Petosa and his family. They are extremely good people and professionals. They still produce very high quality instruments. As professor of accordion, performer and teacher, I have played a hundreds different models of accordions. I have owned around 20 different brands of Italian accordions, but I have to say that Petosa AM1100 is the best accordion I ever played and owned. I am so proud owner. Thank you Petosa family!!!
Great service and very honest as to what you are getting jn an accordion! Highly recomend them for purchase or service of your accordion! 👍🏻👍🏻
I had a great experience getting my accordion tuned up here. They were friendly, fast, and very clear/fair with pricing. Their customer service really is exceptional. I highly recommend coming here! Thank you Petosa!
Great experience! I purchased some equipment and it was shipped to Tennessee. Product was packaged very carefully and Ray was very helpful explaining what I needed.
Joe is the best! Always available to help, fix, clean, whatever, even lending me an accordion when I need it. Love these guys!
I am very satisfied with my whole experience with Petosa Accordions. I bought a Roland FR-4X recently, under recommendation from the owner Joe Petosa. I could not be happier with his recommendation, and am very satisfied with the instrument. Joe and his staff are very honest and very nice people who are like family to people who play instruments and are looking for support. He cares so much so that people will be satisfied and happy with his accordions. Also thanks to Ray Harris for being so accommodating to my requests, and willingness to help in the future. All very nice and would highly recommend Petosa Accordions to anyone – Best honest company in the country.Happy customer from Las Vegas, Nevada. Walter.
I just acquired a Petosa accordion, model Artista Pro. Petosa makes the best accordions I’ve ever played. They are smooth and soft to play, clean and beautiful to look at, and totally solid and reliable. I play out, often 2 or 3 times per week between paid gigs, jams, and just fun, so quality and service matter to me. This is an excellent accordion, professional grade, and Petosa is a great company to do business with. The stand behind their product to ensure customer satisfaction, rare in todays world.
Wonderful customer service and very nice accordions! I purchased a 72 bass Giulietti accordion and was extremely happy with my purchase. So glad I bought from them!! Fast shipping too. The quality of the accordion was amazing. This was my first time purchasing from Petosa accordions and I would definitely recommend buying from them.
Stopped in on a whim. I dont play the accordion, or at least I didnt. But Ive played the piano for 20 years now, and Ive always been fascinated by accordions so when I saw an accordion shop I just had to go in. The shop is run by Joe Petosa and has been in the family for generations, and their love and enthusiasm for the instrument is evident. They have been so kind in helping to introduce me to this instrument, and letting me try out different models so I can hopefully make an informed decision about what I want and can afford and learn to play more formally.
I recently purchased a new accordion. With 40 years experience of playing the accordion as well as purchasing accordions, this is my first Petosa. The buying experience of dealing with Petosa Accordions was exceptional and the instrument that I purchased is outstanding. I have owned and played some of the best of the best accordions ever made and my new Petosa is as good as any accordion I have ever played. Thank you Petosa for building high quality world class instruments!Dave
Truly a store where professionals help customers understand accordions and make the right choices. No pressure, just great advice for those interested in accordions. No, they dont sell any other instruments, just some of the best in accordions available nationwide.
I had a fantastic experience at Petosa. The owners and staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They were willing to spend multiple hours over a couple visits to educate me on how accordions work and make sure I was making the right decision. You wont go wrong here.
Thank you Petosa! I had been learning to play piano and became enthralled by how expressive the accordion is. After a lot of research, I reached out to Petosa via email with some questions and they recommended I come in to talk to them and get more familiar with what kind of music and style I was interested in playing. I came in later in the day on a Friday, and had a great experience with my first time touching a piano accordion. Ray showed me the details of how an accordion works and the differences in quality between accordions. He was very patient with me, staying after closing hours to help me find the right instrument. After searching pre-owned accordions in the back room, we found a perfect fit, within my budget, with a nice Cordovox. I am really happy with my experience here and I recommend that anyone just getting started or are professional stop by here and check out pre-owned or high quality new Petosa-brand accordions. Also, Ray is an incredible musician and Petosa is lucky to have him.
Ray, Joey and all the staff at Petosa could not have been more helpful! They not only helped me select the perfect accordion to purchase, but they steered me away from accordions that they felt would not suit my needs. They answered every question honestly and cheerfully, and The accordion I selected is absolutely beautiful!
I am a beginning accordion player. The staff and owners of Petosa are all very patient and helpful. I have asked them a lot of questions and they have made me feel welcome to ask more. I could send them an email today and they would answer it thoughtfully. They have given me honest answers and I feel they have my best interest at heart. I listened to many accordions before choosing my first one. After playing the first accordion awhile I brought it back to compare it to a different model which had just arrived. I ended up trading in the first model and getting the new one after they did blind listening tests for me. They really helped me narrow it down. They suggested I turn my back while they played the same song on several accordions that interested me. This was very helpful because the looks, price et al were taken out of the picture. This is just one example of the care they take to match their customers to the right accordion. They make it clear that once you are in the Petosa family of accordions you can change your mind at any time and trade your instrument in. They really have fallen over backwards to make sure I am happy and well informed.
Very professional. Be prepared to pay. Great team.
Brought them a 50 year old concertina and a 100 year old acadian button box for repair, they put their best on it at a very reasonable price. All around very pleasant and knowledgeable folks.
What a second great experience with the PetosasSecond petosa accordion we’ve purchased and each experience has been amazing. We brought our friends with us this time and they were treated as though they were part of the family. The product is the best on the market. There are none better.
I recently purchased a used AM-1100 accordion from Joey Petosa. In my research I looked at 12 different accordion makers and spoke/emailed with different shops, dealers, owners etc. Not one of them came close to the responsiveness and helpfulness of Joey. He answered every email within 24 hours (usually faster), would answer my phone calls and speak with me about my various questions, and worked with me to find exactly the right accordion for my budget and parameters. The accordion I ended up with was a 20 year old AM-1100, which they refurbished for me. It sounds spectacular, plays beautifully, and is in mint condition. I have showed it to some of my peers who also play accordion and introduced it as my new accordion, none of them doubted for a second that it was new, and when I told them it was 20 years old, most didnt believe me. They put in a internal microphone system which sounds great, and they changed the tuning to be exactly what I wanted.I have complete confidence that should I ever need anything else, I could call or email and have it dealt with promptly. I dont think that I have ever worked with a more responsive sales/service person, and will recommend my Petosa to anyone who asks.
A landmark destination for all things accordian. Plus, a cool mini-accordian museum to boot! Shop with the pros!
I like Petosa, These guys are there to help you. We drove from Spokane to Seattle just to talk to them in person. they even came in outside of their working hours just to help us. Thanks guys.
Great selection of accordions. Competitive prices. And people working are professionals.

I Started playing accordion a couple years ago and noticed Seattle has a history with the Petosa family. It was only a matter of time before I ended up visiting this shop. Heres to the owner and staff, Thankyou for the warm welcome.
I purchased a Fisart freebass converter bayan accordion and am very pleased with the instrument and the experience of making the transaction from where I live in Victoria, Canada. Joe Petosa Sr. handled the sale personally and all went well. Top rating.
Potosa Accordions shop is a Great asset to the state of Washington and the international community...They have fantastic New Instruments and moreso great accessories...Joe Potosa also is one of very few men left in the business that I would call a phenomenal Accordion technician that has the knowledge: Professionalism and Character of being one of finest in the business...I wish them well with their new adventure in Lynnwood in hopes to promote a stronger relationship to the Instruments market place..
