While on a recent road trip from Colorado to the PNW my 2001 Toyota Tundra was in need of repair. Pulling a camper had exacerbated a problem with my struts and shocks. Worried the return trip to Colorado would be unpleasant and possibly breaking down on the interstate, I decided I needed to take my truck in for service. We had rented a house in Kingston, so I asked the property manager if he knew of a good mechanic and this is where my luck started to change. Rod not only knew of a good mechanic (Tom) he called him directly and scheduled an appointment for the next morning. Tom’s shop is in Edmonds so after a ferry ride over, Tom took a look at the truck and stated he would do a full diagnostic and then drove us back to the ferry so we wouldn’t have to take an Uber! He replaced the struts, shocks, repaired the connecting rods to the sway bar, changed the oil and even repaired the plastic engine protections cover that had been broken for some time. I had my truck back within 24 hours at a very reasonable price. As purported by Rod, our property manager and the Uber driver who drove us from the ferry the next day, who also uses Tom, he is hands down the best mechanic around. As I write this from my Colorado home I am grateful for the smooth, uneventful ride back home. It felt like new truck again. THANK YOU TOM!My only complaint is that I wish you were here in Colorado!

I used to bring my GTR to Tommy to fix and only him because he was pretty honest. The last time I left my car in Tommys care for fluid leaks the car was damaged and hit. Normally I would not consider this to be a red flag, but Tommy never called me to tell me my pride and joy had been damaged in the lot. I was only aware of the damage when I went up to check if some parts had been correctly delivered. Imagine my surprise when there is a huge dent in the rear quarter panel and paint damage on the bumper and I was only made aware of the situation because I had checked on my parts delivery. Tommy said he would take care of it and I was already very upset that I had not had an update via phone. He also did not know how it happened at all and could give me no information as to what caused the damage. Fast forward three weeks with no update and I left a message with Tommy saying to call me back and he then he finally calls me a couple days later saying the car was done. So I go to Tommy to pick up my car then I find that the body panel repair had such shoddy subpar workmanship. The rear bumper scrape looked like they used a glob of touch up paint. The rear quarter panel still had a dent in it where the edge of the quarter panel was crushed in and the paint along the quarter still had dried paint bubbles. He said that he would tell the guys who did the repairs to fix the paint work, but would you want someone who previously attempted to repair the car and failed to try again? On top of that he had said the guy was undergoing surgery and would not be able to help until a week later. He would not give me the name or number of the people who had poorly fixed my car either. So I took the car and went through my own insurance as I did not want someone who had ruined my car to work on it again. My insurance company informed me that Velocity is uninsured for the loss without shop insurance as well so if your car is damaged this will be the level of quality of the repair. I was without a car for over three months because of this ordeal. The last time I went to Tommy (4/17) I decided to replace all the differential seals for my Nissan Skyline R32 and Tommy had charged me $300 in labor. I decided not to have him fix the damage that was caused at his shop on his car but wanted to continue with the differential repair. He said he replaced all the rear differential gaskets with my OEM Nissan supplied parts. I just noticed that the rear differential is still leaking in the same place even after he performed the job and charged me $300. This gasket should have been replaced properly and should not be leaking again less than six months after the repair. Now Im wondering if he actually did change it.Update: 10/23/17I decided to investigate why the seal was still leaking after addressing the issue with new gaskets. It seems like nothing is as cleaned to make sure no grime was on there. I found so much grime on the parts in question which seems to support the leak. Tommy should have thoroughly cleaned the parts before installing instead of failure within the year

I was impressed by Tommys work ethic and skills. He values his customer and his reputation. It takes a 2nd attempt to figure out the best way to fix my car and Tommy was very responsible. Never a word said before he began to study my case again. He did the job beautifully then, and told me: come back if there is anything wrong on this part. His charge is reasonable because you dont get free drinks and the front desk staff as in some big auto shops, which is eventually paid by yourself.I appreciated it so much and would come back for other auto body work.
