The staff here was super friendly. One of the things I appreciated is they didn’t try to upswell us. When we mentioned the super auto we’d had for the last 12 years, they pointed out some good options at an affordable price range. We actually ended up upgrading from the one we had for the last 12 years to something with more coffee drink options.There was a slight mix up with what the mobile version said for a gift card offer vs what the desktop version showed, but the staff honored the mobile version offer, which was fantastic. I’m really hoping this coffee maker lasts us 12 years like our last one did.
This place is a joke. I placed a simple order for coffee filters online and paid for expedited shipping. It was never stated that the order would ship from the Mid-west. As of now the order has been stopping at every stage coach stop along the way. After 6 days the order has no scheduled delivery date. It did not ship expedited! I talked to customer service and she tried to blame it on the pandemic and thought that she was being the boss by refunding the delivery charges. Terrible customer service
You will not find a better place to buy home brewing equipment or get it serviced than Seattle Coffee Gear! Ive been purchasing from them for ten years now, and just had a repair done. The staff is responsive, friendly, patient, and really goes the extra mile to take care of their customers. Cant recommend them highly enough!
I’ll never order from this company again. Their customer service is very difficult to reach. My shipment arrived two days late. It was defective and it should’ve never have been sent out. I tried returning it to their store and they would not accept returns in store. I was told a replacement would be mailed once the courier received my package. After two days I called customer service to see why my replacement had not shipped. Again customer service was difficult to reach. I eventually received the replacement. The whole process was not worth my time and money.
Associate give out wrong information regard price and model on product and halfway during communication ignore me as customer and walk away to help other before finishing with my questions. Extremely unprofessional behavior lack of training and awareness. To walk away and refuse to help and ignored customer, I did communicate with a manager regarding situation. I do not appreciate this type of attitude, not recommend the location and will not return Ill take my business somewhere else. This guy Single-Handedly Ruined my day for no reason!! Unbelievable !! What a great store. They have everything you could every want when it comes to coffee. They have equipment for all types of brewing methods including espresso, drip, pour over, French press, etc. They also offer samples from their wall of coffee which help you decide what to buy. The staff is incredible and very friendly. Great work guys!

I recently purchased a super-automatic espresso machine and Seattle Coffee Gear was recommended on an espresso machine owner FaceBook group I’m in. This company tests various whole beans and identifies those that are okay for use in espresso machines such as mine. I ordered 3 different brands of coffee beans, some cappuccino art stencils and a shaker. I was expecting to receive the order in 4-5 days but that didn’t happened. I sent an email, opened a ticket on their website and sent a message through FaceBook...no response! I called and was told the system was down. Days later, I finally got a response on FaceBook and was told they were waiting on fresh beans. That’s great, but quicker communication would have been nice. Out of the three brands of coffee beans I purchased, one was really oily. That’s what I was trying to avoid by going with Seattle Coffee Gear’s recommendations. It tasted pretty good but I’m scared they’re going to tear up my espresso machine. One of the other brands was disgustingly bitter, so that was money wasted. The third one was just okay. I’ll finish it but would not buy it again. I think this was my first and last time ordering from here, so I’ll need to find another option for my coffee needs.

I ordered a Philips Saeco super automatic and paid the additional $18 for 2 day delivery. It is now 3 days past the original delivery date and no one from SCG will respond to our inquiry about our machine. I have emailed every day and asked for a call and no one has reached out. I even called the delivery company and was told it would arrive today. It has not.Very disappointed and surprised we are having this experience given all the extremely positive reviews.Would love to get this resolved.UPDATE: 8/16/21Seattle Coffee Gear sent me a replacement machine via FedEx while the original machine was stuck in transit. GSO had a driver shortage that delayed the product from reaching me in a timely manor.The review is now a 3 star from 1 star because we got it solved. I cannot review with a 4 or 5 star because, as you may be able to see from the SCG response to my original review, they respond to 100% of all emails and in no way would have missed my messages. Days later I received an email from the original Customer service agent saying the emails I was sending were coming to her email but she was on vacation. Not really what you want to hear.They did get me a machine shipped in addition to the machine that was already stuck in transit. I assume they know that in most cases they would have to write off the original machine as gone but I am not the type of customer to just keep what isnt mine. At my request they got me a return label and will receive the original machine back unopened.Thank you for getting me a resolution. Though I am disappointed in how this transaction went down I will be back.

Really good selection of coffee and INCREDIBLY fast shipping to Portland, OR.Coffee was shipped a very large box full of what appeared to be non-recyclable peanuts, which is a huge turn-of for me. Per owners comment below, they are actually cornstarch (I ate one to fact check). It would be nice if their was a not on the invoice or in the packaging to help curb the shock.
Purchased a $800 coffee machine, got home and found multiple dead bugs inside. Chatted with customer support and they suggested spending another $800 to buy another one and then trying to get a return on the old one. I shouldnt have to spend another $800 for a fault that is not mine. Gave two stars because the ordering process and shipping was easy and quickFollow Up - the reply was that they would provide a label to return it but i have to pay the money for all the packaging to ensure its safe return which is no small cost for something that weighs 15 pounds and is decently fragile. Since when is the costumer responsible for a faulty product?
I have been an online customer of Seattle Coffee Gear over the years. While I have been satisfied with the products I have bought, I wanted to share a review regarding their support. I bought a Rocket machine a few years back, but it recently started making a squealing noise. I sent a message to the support email address and must say I am impressed. Brian responded promptly and asked for a video of the machine with the noise. He gave me some things to try to diagnose the problem. In the end it was a slight pressure adjustment needed. I am impressed with both the level of service and the fact that I didn’t need to ship the machine or anything to totally resolve the problem.This support and service has made me a lifelong customer!!!

Called ahead and bough]poppp]]]t an Ilsa moka pot after my Breville machine died suddenly. They also do repairs and service. Note that prices at the store are more expensive than it is online. Will come back here.
I ordered a new Technivorm Moccamaster Cup One from Seattle Coffee Gear. It arrived on time but with one major issue. It was clearly an opened and returned/used item. I paid for new but was sent a used item. BUYERS BEWARE. I gave customer service every chance to make it right but SCG took no responsibility. I basically got a returned item. I should have ordered directly from Technivorm or Amazon. See pictures for documentation.
Just received my first order on an upgrade for my coffee set up. Loved the experience, even when every business is closed they delivered in 2 days and had the newest products on the market. They have great customer support also. Ill be coming here for all my coffee needs from now on!

The best part of a visit here is being able to pick three different coffees to sample. Each sample being carefully prepared and presented. There’s no charge for this delightful experience. I had been using ESE pods for years on my old Brevillle. She suggested trying one with the new double filter. I went home and it worked. She helped me find the accessories I needed too. Kudos!

Nice store with good customer service, and glad that they had the Rocket Appartamento in stock! I’ve only had the machine for a couple of days but so far I’m happy. The reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is for issues with shipping. They use GLS (or is it GSO?) instead of Fedex / UPS / USPS. It is free shipping, but I had issues which resulted in several failed delivery attempts.
I love these guys! Retail location does not have the Seattle, angry barista vibe! Amazing selection! Great staff! I go out of my way to buy my beans there! Sad to hear they’re moving to a mall location. Good for them. I hope it doesn’t take away their personal touch with customers.

Many shipping options are available. I chose the least expensive option and my product arrived in 3 days. The final price was less that the Amazon price with free shipping for the same amount of product.This is not my first purchase from Seattle Coffee Gear and I will continue to shop at their site as long as their prices remain competitive. Their web site is also a wealth of information about coffee brewing methods and accessories.

Ive never visited the store front but plan to do so on my next trip to Seattle. I purchased from the online website an espresso machine, a grinder and various accessories in several different transactions. The quality was excellent, the prices were great, and the service is outstanding. Delivery was quick and an issue I had with operating one of the machines was addressed promptly. These are among the best mail order experiences that Ive had.Finally, their instructional videos are a superb public service.
Im not even sure where to begin with this one. First, I hate writing a bad review about anyone and this is the first Ive ever written. I had a good experience with SCG 1.5 years ago with my espresso machine so I came back. I contacted the company 3 months ago and my original sales rep was gone so I had a new one. They helped me through the process of picking out a machine well, but it was downhill from there. The first big issue was that they promised delivery by the end of February so I scheduled a training for beginning of March and was flying someone in for the training. I called the evening of Feb 27 because I had heard nothing and they told me the end of the NEXT week it would be there. I had to cancel the training incurring a cost of $700. The next week came and went and no word. I called and they apologized again. I still didnt receive the machine for another two weeks when they kept promising it would ship the next day. Every contact had to be initiated by me. Then I finally decided to cancel the order as I felt I was getting the run around and they werent keeping their word. Keep in mind this is mid March and I paid in full (over $6,000) on February 15. They assured me theyd refund my credit card the next day. After a week I contacted them again about the refund and they said, oh it takes 10 days. OK. I contacted them two more weeks later because of no refund and they again had a weak apology and offered to just cut a check. I agreed to that and 3 weeks later still had nothing!! I contacted them 1 week ago today and Daniel wasnt in so they said hed call me on Monday. Monday came and went with no call. Tuesday came and almost went but I called at the very end of the day. They again weakly apologized and said theyd cut a check in the morning and send me FedEx tracking so Id know it went out. That was Tuesday. This is Friday. Still no word, no emails, no nothing! Theyve had over $6,000 of my money for 2.5 months and they dont seem to care one bit about customer service and keeping their word. I dont trust this company one bit anymore. Not only is my $6,000 out there but the hours of stress, frustration and lost productivity are mounting!
Company wouldnt not honor a coupon issued to be used with any purchase online. When I tried to use the coupon I was told that the parts I purchased, some client service advisor said that company wont accept the same coupon issued by Seattle Coffee Gear.SO THE QUESTION I HAVE: WHY SEND A COUPON IN THE 1ST PLACE IF YOU NOT GONNA HONOR IT?!?Dont waste your time, go shop to other coffee gear shops, this one dont care about customers.
I have made a number of purchases from Seattle Coffee, some expensive and some not. Each time the web site has been very helpful, the videos about the gear its use and maintenance terrific. Delivery of shipped merchandise was always timely and everything always arrived undamaged due to excellent packing. The times I needed to talk to a person the connection was always prompt, those I talked to very pleasant and helpful with all questions knowledgeably answered and problems easily solved.Seattle Coffee is terrific.
I love their YouTube videos, but was not that pleased with my actual experience buying an espresso machine from them. Briefly, I bought a single boiler machine that had a bad thermoblock (so couldnt make steam). My interaction with the support team was very uneven. Each time, it seamed like a different person was replying and that they werent basing their reply on the entire thread (that is, we were going in circles on the troubleshooting). I eventually returned the machine without any issues, but we should have been able to reach that outcome much sooner.
Superior customer support and fast shipping. I ordered a Rocket R58 and it had a significant manufacturer defect. Packaging was so good it was clearly not caused in shipping and the machine came in a sealed manufacturer box. They immediately sent a new one and paid for return shipping. Great support and call service.
I placed my order over the phone, and they were SO helpful. Great customer service, such nice people to deal with. Not only did I get some outstanding products, but they gave me a gift card for free! Also their website puts out very helpful videos that review their products and compare them with others. Definitely going to recommend them for all my coffee-loving friends!
They have a nice selection of machines with good prices (if you buy during sales events and use their online discount codes) and their customer support is also good in my experience. However, before ordering the large espresso/coffee machines through their online shop be aware that if anything will go wrong or you wont like your purchase for any reason - youll be shipping these purchases back at your own expense, which can be pretty costly. Its pretty understandable why they dont cover return shipping, but they should put a big warning about that (especially the high cost of shipping heavy/large items) before anyone clicks Order button and not just a small text under general Returns and Refunds section...

The appeal and quality of the Rocket espresso is very good. I am pleased. I do not know anything about service because I have not needed them. When I talk to them on the phone before I bought my machine they were very helpful, and their Videos are very informative.

Bought a 3k espresso machine here last year. Great service. I came in to buy a grinder today and service was so bad. Barely got to say anything and sales person just walks away from me. Not one sales person but TWO of them. I also asked for a price match which the store has done for me before and they said they wont price match what I wanted. Super frustrated and not happy. They werent even that busy. It was so rude and just so unprofessional. I would have given them a lower review but I will account for the great service I got last year. Wont be coming here for a while.

This is more for their customer service department. I had an issue back when I ordered a machine. The machine never reached my location because the delivery men had delivered it to the wrong location. Unfortunately, they could not track it because the machine was recorded as delivered, but the wrong package was placed. I called the service hotline and I was answered by a very polite person who made it right asap. I love my machine and the service that this company gave me was above and beyond any expectations set.Thank you!

I bought coffee and other items from them 2 times and asked them numerous questions via email. They are great to work with. They both know their stuff and are kind in their responses.One of the orders had an error. They were quick to correct the error. And the 2nd order was for coffee which I thought were shipped only on Thursdays. It seems like they imply that they only ship on Thursday because that is when they get their shipment in. But they shipped mine on a Tuesday since they had some already. I suppose I rather get the freshest beans possible but even the Tuesday shipment had recently roasted beans.I highly recommend them.

I ordered descaler online from Seattle Coffee Gear and the product was delivered to me very quickly. When I run out, I will reorder from them. I marked Food and Decor only GOOD because they dont apply and the program wont let me exit without checking the boxes on each line. Might want to work on the web design.

After I ordered I received lots of helpful emails from Seattle Coffee to ensure I was getting the best from my machine. The Espresso is fantastic but the service rocks!
Great service. They examined my old espresso machine, gave me the straight scoop on repairs. I decided to buy a newer machine and bought another one from SCG because of the outstanding customer service. They are great to deal with and know the coffee world inside out. Ive been a customer for more than 5 years.
The steam wand on our Rancilio had been leaking for months. I went to your website and posed my question. The video on how to replace the valve was very informative. I order the valve. Calling this place is pointless, they only care about the products they sell and will gladly get you to buy anything regardless of if its a right fit for you or for anyone.
Its a nice, small, shiny showroom tucked away in the Alderwood village. Nice setup, plenty of machines to try, but seems a bit understaffed. Despite being a tiny store, it was impossible to get the attention of an employee to complete a purchase. Ended up leaving empty-handed, but that made my local coffee shop a lot more happy anyway. =)Good selection of beans, small selection of accessories and cleaning products. Basically, this store is shiny beacon to attract spenders. Dont bother if youre going for coffee nerding. Wondering if the employees work on commission...
I bought the Crossland CC1 machine around two and a half years ago. From day one I had problems. At first when I contacted Seattle Coffee Gear I was brushed aside as being ignorant about machines. Unfortunately, I believed them, and dealt with the issues which was essentially the machine not acting like an espresso machine. Lack of pressure which would fluctuate without changing the grind/settings/tamping. After I was so fed up with the issue, I contacted the owner first telling him my problem. He at first offered to fix the issue for free and seemed to know what the problems were. Then after weeks of no answers where to send the machine to Bill, I contacted Seattle Coffee Gear in attempts to have them get his attention and make him follow through with his promise. More weeks went by without any results. Finally, after constantly calling and asking for managers, they offered to do a fix up for free; however, I had to pay for the shipping which was around $120. What was ridiculous was that the support manager indicated a machine would only last around 2-3 years, which I thought was crappy considering my friends who run their own coffee shop said that was pure bull. So it seemed they were making an excuse for Bills terribly unreliable product--and I meticulously clean my machine constantly. So I sent it in, and they kept it for quite a while with no updates on what they were doing or what was wrong. Then I received an email indicating it was on its way back with again no answers of what they did. When I finally got it back with no paperwork on what they did. Yet, I did notice much more power in the steam wand (and pressure) and for only a short while did it actually work like it was supposed to. Now only after 5 months or so, the steam has little to no power, the machine constantly is choked no matter what I do, and is pulling terrible shots. AVOID THIS PRODUCT AT ALL COSTS. Get a reputable brand that has been around for a while especially since the owner is seemingly being given special defense by Seattle Coffee Gear! I will not be buying my next machine from Seattle Coffee Gear either! Find another company as their customer service is terrible if you deal with them out of state!
Initially I visited the web site of Seattle Coffee Gear and read about various products and customer reviews and watched You Tube demonstrations on espresso makers of interest. I then contacted Seattle Coffee Gear by phone with many questions. The staff was incredibly helpful, listened to my needs, and steered me to a product with which I am happy. In addition SCG followed up with an email containing web sites to help with learning how to use the product. I would definitely recommend this business for anyone interested in brewing coffee.
