I just had a very unpleasant customer service from the manager named Ryan Harris. I have called a few times for an update on my order in the past but no one called me so I ended up calling back there. No big deal. Things get busy. Today, I called again because the ETA has passed but no email or call regarding delay. I was told that a sales person would call me. waited, waited. No calls. I called again and talked to Ryan who is the manager. He told me that my order has been pushed to end of the month. I shared my concerns about no follow-ups and he told me then you wanna cancel your order? He didnt even try to explain the circumstance or anything. His attitude was like if u dont like waiting, cancel it I told him No, I dont want to cancel, I just want you to listen my concerns. and he said I heard you and thats your ETA and there nothing more I can do for you. He just try to end the conversation. There absolutely was no effort to explain things but left with me cold and unprofessional customer service.I am a reasonable person. I know about back orders and supply shortage since pandemic. Really disappointed with their customer service and unprofessionalism. I wont be returning for future business.
After less than 20 minutes in the store we purchased the washer wed been looking for. We even got it for less than any of the other places wed looked thanks to their great price matching. We knew exactly what we wanted and they happened to have it in stock at the distribution center. Less than 25 minutes after leaving the store we were at the distribution center and had the washer loaded up. Great experience all around. Well be back when we need more appliances.
After checking the big box stores, I went to Judd & Black - they will price match, fyi. Finally made a decision and bought a Maytag dishwasher at a good price. Their installation is also cheaper than the other stores. Took two weeks to get delivered and installed (supply chain issues all over!). Extremely happy with our dishwasher and Les made the purchase easy. I would definitely return if I need to replace another appliance.
Customer service is exceptionally unprofessional. My exhaust fan started giving problem just after 2 weeks of installation. I reported more than 5 times regarding the issue with exhaust fan, every time they made the ad-hoc fix which not even lated for two days. Appliance caused short-circuit couple of times but no appropriate action was take by it. Its been now more than 7 months and I am still waiting for the fix. In one instance i asked if this is expected from Judd and Black, customer service representative’s reply was awesome, he replied “these days it’s common “.
These guys are just awesome. Since 2001 I exclusively use Judd & Black for all appliance purchases and services. Today I had a service call to repair my stove. As always, everything went perfectly.From the moment I called to set up an appointment to this morning when Kris called with the approximate time of arrival to actual repair.After being in the service industry myself for almost 30 years, it is just a pleasure knowing there is still good fashion service out there, people you can rely on to do their job right.Marco
Really disappointed with this company . After several years of being loyal customers, Im afraid they ruined any future sales opportunity from us . We purchased a washer / dryer set and it was back ordered approx 4 months . No problem - well wait . After both items finally come in, we proceed to schedule the install date . We were told that they would call the morning of such and such date with an arrival window . I explained that wouldnt work as we would only be able to have an afternoon appointment . Please try another day . Sorry, this is the way we do it I was told . I said Well then lets schedule and then see if the window works out otherwise well have to cancel that day . I was told there would be a cancellation fee if that happened . Are you f n kidding me ? Im your customer - not the other way around . And then youre going to charge me if the arrival window doesnt work ? Screw that ! They should be trying to meet my schedule . After all, we patiently waited 4 months for the products . We finally agreed on a Sat arrival for installation . Well see how that goes, but I tell you what we wont be returning for future business .
Decent at beginning while searching for a refrigerator, that was 4 February 2021. The last correspondence was 13 March 2021. I have had to initiate each and every communication. The last estimated time of arrival provided 13 March 2021 was for 8 April 2021. It is now 17 April 2021 and havent heard a peep. This was a $3226 GE Profile refrigerator with an added 5-Year Extended Warranty. They require 50% down and the balance before they schedule delivery. I paid, in full, up front on 4 February 2021. They have my money, I have an old, dead refrigerator.They say: “We are an 80 year old company that conducts business with honor and treats our customers with respect.” _ - I say hmmmm. . .
Had a dishwasher break on Saturday night and the next day tried the box stores to only get put on hold with no answer. Tried the stores in person, and no help.Called Judd and Black and a nice lady named Gayle answered and said they had lots in stock at their warehouse and to come on down to the store and she would help us out.What a great experience! Went over all the different models and features and hooked us up!Bought a great model, drove up to their warehouse and picked it up.Installed easily and works great.Thank you Gayle!Kevin
Seriously such great customer service and products here. We had very specific requests and budget and the sales rep helping us was finding every way to fit our needs. 12/10 recommend. We didn’t end up finding the right appliance for us simply because the specific style we’re looking for is in high demand and we needed it ASAP. But will definitely return.
I stopped into Judd & Black Lynnwood yesterday to look at new washing machines. The gentleman who offered to assist me was Tim Avis. I found him to be very knowledgeable and truthful about the machines. I had a whirlpool that was less than 5 years old that I was replacing. Tim told me the best washer was the Speed Queen. I knew that they have been around a very long time. He explained everything about it to me and I was convinced that it was the best one for me. He explained how well it was built and the guarantee on it. Sold!! Of course my washer and dryer don’t match anymore, and the speed Queen looks old school, but sometimes pretty and fancy gadgets aren’t always the best. When my dryer dies, I will get the matching dryer. I also talked with about a new Jenn Air downdraft range. I wanted to it right then, but i have to pay off the washer first😊. The majority of my appliances have come from Judd & Black and I won’t buy anywhere else. Tim, thank you so much. It was a pleasure doing business with you. You deserve top salesman award!
We bought top of the line Maytag washer and dryer just over a year ago from the Lynnwood location. We are now having our 5th service call on the washer this week. Have had several parts replaced now, and need another new one this time around. When I asked to speak to service manager, she was very rude and abrupt the first time we spoke, but they did take care of the problem. Now we are on the 3rd replacement of soap dispenser, and the same service manager will not return my phone call. Horrible service.
My husband and I were shopping all day for pricing and was referred by our neighbors in October to visit Judd and Black for a new oven. Tim Avis helped us and we couldnt have been more pleased. Having seen great reviews, and wanting to support a local business, we went into the Lynnwood location the Monday after Thanksgiving hoping get in on the black Friday sales. The salesman wasnt interested in showing us any washer other than the SpeedQueen as soon as he heard a) I knew the brand and b) we use cloth diapers, which that brand of known to be good for. We ended up buying the set and regret it. Not only do we dislike the product, but we feel taken advantage of by the salesman. We were tired, hungry, had our toddler with us, and had a broken washer with dirty diapers and he wanted to go home. We were convinced it was our only real choice. The machines have not lived up to the sell or expectations and when I called to express my concerns I was dismisssed and told I had to schedule a service call before they would even discuss my dissatisfaction. That meant I had to wait a month before I could get back in touch with them. The service calls are always booked days or weeks in advance, never when you actually need service (right away), and while the techs were knowledgeable, he wasnt able to solve my main compliant, which is that the dryer doesnt dry in one cycle. Theres a long list of reasons why Im not happy with my purchase, but given what I was told on the phone, I have no reason to believe Judd and Black will do anything to make it better. Now Im stuck with expensive machines that dont do what I need and the feeling that Ive been taken advantage of, not listened to and that their commission is more important than their customer.
I want to strongly recommend the knowledgeable and helpful staff at the Lynnwood store. In particular Matthew B. who helped my wife and I pick out a replacement refrigerator from the comfort of our home on the J&B web-page. We had visited all the big box stores and a few others looking for a refrigerator that could be delivered in 2 days and not 2 months! Matthew worked with us to find the style and model that we wanted. It was in stock! We bought the Frigidaire Professional PRMC2285AF had it professionally installed by J&B techs and are very happy with the entire shopping and installation experience.

I purchased a high-end microwave from the Lynnwood store where they have to special order the item. On the first day of use, the microwave was making unusual noise and I called the store for an exchange. The service person came and determined the turning motor was bad and need a replacement. I called the store and request for exchange for the new microwave and the store recommended (insisted) that I service the microwave that I just purchased because it is under the warranty. I told them I dont want to service the new microwave and want to exchange for the new item or I would return it. The manager told me that they will charge 25% restocking fee on a defective machine. (seriously?) I insist I would like to exchange the product and the manager has to get approval from his manager. The upper manager approved the exchange and I got a new microwave and it is working as expected.I would expect the store to stand behind the products that they sell. I should not have to argue with the manager to exchange the defective machine, especially with 1-day of use. I gave an analogy that when consumers buy a TV and if it doesnt work after they deliver the product, they dont fix the defective TV because its under the manufacturers warranty - they either exchange or return it. And yet, they wanted me to service the product.When I told them I want to return the defective microwave, they were going to charge 25% restocking fee on returning a defective machine. This was terrible service and it was a joke.
This is the 2nd time we have purchased an appliance from Judd and Black in Lynnwood and our salesperson of choice hands down is Tim A. He is courteous and thorough in explaining the product, the price, delivery and installation cost over the phone and via email. With our busy schedule, My preference for follow up communications is via email. I appreciate him getting back to me or responding in a prompt manner as promised. I’m a stickler for great customer service and Tim passes with flying color for each transaction. I am looking forward to our next purchase. Just waiting for our fridge to die, lol!
My washer broke 6 days ago. I called Judd & Black and spoke to Tim about a replacement. They were out of stock for my preferred machine so they found another one that was an upgrade and gave me the lower price. The unit was just delivered and it is great. Delivery guys were great. Overall my experience was great. I can’t say enough good things about Tim. Thanks for making it happen!

Went to lowes where they were kind of rude to me (I get it - frenzied woman with a broken coil element in her hands and a panicked look in her eyes), but they did do one thing right: they sent me to judd & black in Lynnwood where Tim Avis totally hooked me up! Got me a great deal and was super nice. Im a judd are black customer for life now. Such kind service from a family owned company.

He set us up & within approximately 1-2 weeks we had our washer dryer. It had been delivered, hooked up, & has been working perfect ever since. Their service & appliances are poor quality. I set up my 4th service for this lemon refrigerator they sold me and it has never worked right. It is a Kitchen aid. I think it was returned by someone and they sent it out to me when I bought the entire kitchen aid package of all appliances and they didnt have what they sold me on the time it was due. I had to change to this to get it so the construction people could install it. Anyway, I had to wait again for 2 weeks to get on the service schedule and the freezer making a noise and the icemaker freezes the ice then it starts melting and melts down the front of the refrigerator. Then the ice itself melts into one big clump. We will see what they say this time they come out. Last time they replaced a freezer control UI.
Giving One Start for Poor Customer Service!Our Goal is to Support a Local Business! I usually don’t believe in Giving Bad Reviews. I totally understand the current situation we all are in and no complains on delay of delivery but when a customer who paid more then $3000 for a appliances should not get rushed when they call to get ETA. First of all if the delivery date is set in 4 weeks, company should call customer and update them on delay rather then customer call you to get details. I called twice, Once talked to Sales person(dont want to give name) and 2nd time talked to Manager both were so much in rush to go somewhere or get on other line. One genuine advise to you guys, If you really want your customer to come back please keep them posted. Please update them nicely no matter what the ETA on delivery date is rather then rush to take other calls and attend other customers when they are calling you to get details. Nice Customer Service is A key for successful business. Thanks.
After a full kitchen remodel we needed to purchase a full suite of appliances. Judd and Black in Lynnwood had the best prices and were casual and supportive, answering every question. I mistakenly chose a refrigerator that was too deep for our new counters, sticking our 4 inches. One visit to the store and they swapped out the our mistake for a new one, no problem. This is a great family store!
My wife and I are looking for new appliances and two friends recommended J&B. So we headed to the store and were greeted by Tim. He spent almost two hours helping us to hone in on a couple of collections. Other than casually asking what our timeline was, he did not apply a hard sell. He really appeared to be enjoying showing off the appliance features, and explaining the pros and cons of a given selection. Their prices seem pretty competitive also. Once we make out final selections we will definitely go back to J&B to try and work something out.If you want a pleasant experience with a very informed and helpful person, see Tim when you go to the store.UPDATE: After looking at appliances with several suppliers (all of whom did a good job), we ended up purchasing a collection of appliances from Tim at J&B. There were two reasons. First, the pricing was the best out of all of the suppliers. Secondly, Tim did a great job working to earn our business, and this was a factor in the final decision. We look forward to getting our appliances.

Updating: I have bought many appliances now through Judd and Black and I can highly recommend Wellington as an amazing sales person who will go above and beyond to help you find the right appliance for your needs. I unfortunately had a hiccup with my dishwasher and have a very small window to get it addressed. While I appreciate the effort put forth on some of the people I’m dealing with it seems as though in our market there are no good options to fix an issue any faster than a week at best. I have a $1300 dishwasher that has stopped working within a month. Now I am without one for at least a week to 2 weeks. Replacing it is not an option either because a new one needs to be ordered and even if i said I would take any one they had in stock you guessed it....installers are booked out even longer. So in summary wonderful for sales but unfortunately you are going to go without for a while if you have any issues. I hope you have better luck that I have. Leaving the second star for Wellington as he really did a great job otherwise we would be a 1.
In our research of new washers and dryers, we went to four local appliance stores. Devin at Judd and Black was the most knowledgeable and candid of everyone we had talked with. He spent a lot of time with us in the store and also later over the phone. There were not any high pressure sales pitches which we greatly appreciated. He is the only one who told us about the current rebate offers. The price/costs were in line with what we had already seen. The fact that Judd and Black backs their repair service for as long as you own the appliance is something none of the other appliance sellers do. That is a huge plus for us. This was our first appliance purchase at Judd and Black and I am sure it will not be our last.
Tim from there help us out so much. Hell he even stayed late to get us the right washer and dryer. Not to mention the fact that he got us the right unit that we were looking for not just color but size specs and everything and the price was amazing. Do yourself a favor go see Tim and make sure that you find exactly what it is that youre looking for.

Our fridge died with no warning and no one had the fridge we wanted in stock, or if they did, it was going to take over a month to deliver and install. Then I called the Lynnwood Judd&Black, and all was well.Alex was super helpful with the purchase, and when we decided that we didnt like our replacement model, he had it replaced with zero hassle. The delivery was superb and the service was excellent. A big shout out to Alex, his manager, and the delivery team. Your guys rock!
Very pleased with the service I received. My refrigerator had died and I was looking for a replacement ASAP. Installation was not able to be scheduled for a few weeks out, but the delivery manager offered to bring my new fridge out to my house the next day to put in my garage while I waited for installation. Saved my food and my sanity! Appreciate that they went above and beyond to help me out. Will definitely be returning next time I need a new appliance.

My father-in-law has done business with them for decades. The reason is that in doing so you dont have to worry about anything. From the sales person Alex Lamoureux to the installations of the appliances everything was perfect and I now understand my father-in-laws loyalty to them.

He went above and beyond to help us in our search for a new washer/dryer, and was incredibly patient with us as we asked a thousand questions to be sure we were getting what we wanted. He never made us feel rushed or pressured in the store, and he regularly followed up with us by phone afterward. We would definitely work with Tim again for future appliance purchases.

Just bought a new fridge and elec stove from the Lynnwood location - Tim was my sales guy and he was on the ball. my current fridge died sunday night (and i was planning on buying a new stove soon anyway). i figured out it wasnt worth fixing. monday, i called Albert Lee, Lowes and Home Depot first (prev appliances were all bought at H.D.) Albert Lee said 2 weeks delivery, i couldnt even get anyone on the phone from Lowes and Home Depot. Tim was like youll have it tomorrow (if you come up today) today is tuesday and the stuff was here at noon. the stove had some dings so they gave me a discount. (or i could have gotten a perfect one, id rather save the money) delivery for both was $100 flat. 2 yr extended warranty for both was $170. ill always go here first from now on.

Tim Avis helped us pick out our Kitchen Aid appliances at Judd & Black. Wed never owned Kitchen Aid before, so we werent sure about it. Tim gave us great advice and helped us get the best deal possible for our fridge, oven and dishwasher and they look great in our new kitchen.

The sales person that we spoke to didnt really listen to what we were looking for instead tried to sell us some other object we asked about a dryer and they tried to sell us a washing machine and dryer set when we told them we were only interested in the dryer.
I like dealing with a locally owned company. Alex was very helpful. He didnt try to steer me toward features that I didnt want yet answered questions about models so that I could have the information that I needed to choose.
We are quite satisfied with our sales experience buying a Bosch dishwasher at the Lynnwood J & B store. However, the dishwasher (Model # SHEM63W55N) has a plastic hot water inlet that was very difficult to make a leak proof when connected to a metal elbow obtained from Aurora Plumbing. I took three tries: 1. tightened finger tight plus a small turn with channel locks - failed, 2. finger tight plus a couple turns with channel locks - failed, 3. returned to Aurora Plumbing who tested the elbow (it was ok), discussed terrible plastic design for water inlet with their staff (who said just finger tight and one additional small turn with channel locks), put together a long hot water supply line so I could run the unit away from the counter and reassembled all connections, turned the unit on and just one small drop came out of the elbow. One additional small turn and that stopped. THIRD TIME WAS A CHARM but what a pain in the butt. Saved $125 installation fee but my wife doesnt think it was worth it! This feedback needs to be sent to Bosch.

Wellington Lee was the sales associate we come across at the Lynnwood store, at the time he had a injury leg, but he still helped us with a great smile, walk us all over the store showing all our questions, we had look at big box stores and we dont have the service he gave us, he took time to show us which appliance had a rebate, spending $10,000 dollars we got $600 in rebate. Now we are enjoying all the new appliance.

We have bought four appliances here over the course of a year - a refrigerator, stand-alone range with double oven, dishwasher, and upright freezer. We returned for each additional purchase because the customer service is great, prices match or beat any of the prices at the large home improvement stores, and, if you have questions or concerns after the purchase, you can call and quickly get help.
We were doing a major kitchen remodel and wanted 3 new appliances (dishwasher, slide-in stove/oven, and fridge) and wanted them to be from the same manufacturer for visual continuity. We didnt have the luxury of having a contractor to make these decisions as we were doing the remodel ourselves. And as anyone who has done their own work knows, there are a zillion decisions to make. We did our due diligence and on many occasions went online and to the big box stores to look at product, get price quotes, etc. It was a real challenge to meet our spec requirements at those outlets. Finally, we decided to give Judd and Black a try. We thought they might be too expensive for us since they are a specialty store (focus on appliances). We were so wrong. From the moment we first walked in the store we got the kind of focused attention we needed to help with decision-making about these critical components of our new kitchen. The staff were really helpful and worked very hard to help us put together a package which fit our needs. And the prices were very reasonable - were middle of the road guys and dont buy the most or least expensive products. Appliances are their specialty and they have the full, expansive range of options available. We worked with two sales people and always knew we had their complete attention when working out the details. For ease of researching options and making decisions, they beat the competition to pieces! And follow-up has been great as well. 3-4 months after installing the new trio in our (finally - 8 months later) remodel, we were having trouble leveling the fridge doors. I called, they sent someone out, and fixed the problem - at no cost. Thats service. They helped make what could have been a mind boggling and time consuming process so much easier. We think they are a great place to shop and heartily recommend them!

Bought a maytag washer and dryer pair two days before Thanksgiving... washer was scheduled to be delivered that Friday as well as a gas dryer towards the middle of the week.Devon calls me up the day before Thanksgiving to let me know that the dryer is discontinued. we really wanted that particular model and I wanted them to match so he agrees to give us a newer pair at no cost. we only have to wait until Jan 9th.. which sucks but I agreed.so Jan 7th I call to verify we were still scheduled. the washer was apparently never ordered. guy on phone didnt know whats up and said Devin would call me back the following morning. that call never comes so I call.apparently maytag cancelled the back order. Ive already made two payments for this and zero communication from Judd and black about the cancellation or delivery. Devons solution is another model or a full refund.no. I want that model. and I want it here tomorrow.
