I was really underwhelmed. The food wasn’t that good, and it actually wasn’t that cheap, either. We had a couple of the French toast specials, and I’m pretty sure the fruit was canned. The coffee wasn’t good, and the bagel sandwich was overly greasy. The waitress was nice, and it had a good atmosphere. But the place was kind of dingy and dated. The most frustrating thing is that they are cash-only, which in itself is annoying. What made it worse was that there was no warning. They basically trap you into using their ATM.

The food is OK but is really dirty. Look at the legs of the chairs. There must be an inch thick of dust.

This is a hidden gem, a star of what is essentially southern comfort food. Looks like a hole in the wall on the outside, inside reminds me of a good old-fashioned country diner.Very reasonably priced meals, including a fried pork chop with your eggs, fried catfish, country fried steak, grits, potatoes, toast...you get the idea.You can also get scrambled egg whites with veggies, by the way, and that is very tasty!Definitely will go back. Absolutely recommend.

The best if everything lies behind the frosted doors & windows. Local diner has an AMAZING home cooked breakfast! Pancakes are one of a kind and literally melt in your mouth. Fluffy eggs, generous bacon and sinful sausage. Coffee is also a winner! Wonderful find along our route. A MUST stop.

The place was completely filled with smoke that my eyes were watering. I was a little worried so I asked the waitress what the smoke was and she said the fryer. I said ok. The food finally came after twenty minutes and no other patrons. The food got cold in less than a minute because it was so cold in there. No heat I guess. The waitress wasnt pleasant at all and it was a waste of time and food. But Happy Birthday anyways Linda. Sorry about the breakfast. I will not be returning

Great portions, food cooked to perfection. Coffee is great with free rrfills. Prices are reasonable. There is only one waitress but she is very good, a hard worker and friendly. Wait time is very good. They also do take out.

This is a true old school dinner. Do not expect anything fancy. The food is very good, and prepared quickly. Their coffee is also good, and the juices are very well priced.

I feel blessed that I found this place so close to where I live on the beach. Imagine being a lover of grits done right, like I thought you could only find in the Deep South. The few places in the North that have grits have something no reasonable person would stomach. But Derek at Three Yolks is from the South and makes some of the best grits Ive ever had. And, I love the catfish, too.But if your tastes are just those of a Northerner, no problem. Their standard 3 egg, bacon and home fries is great. And I always find myself staring at those lucky enough to order French Toast.Make sure you put their address in your GPS. T

Such a great breakfast place!! Best southern breakfast fried chicken steak and fried chicken & waffles!! Yum! Derek is the chef and has been there for years with a sweetheart of a waitress Sandy. Makes you feel right at home everyone is very friendly. Interior could be updated but if you dont care about the decor this is the place for you to eat breakfast!

I used to go here as a kid at their previous location. It is run by the same people, they are amazing!!! Extremely friendly and hospitableThe food is incredible and the atmosphere is even better, I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

I been coming here for years and the food is always good however on this one occasion my food wasn’t all that great.... Everything tasted like it was cooked in the microwave. I couldn’t finish my food it was that horrible... I guess the cook got lazy... The sign on the inside says “never trust a skinny cook”, well I did notice the cook lost a lot of weight so I guess I can’t trust this place anymore....

I Had breakfasts here for a long period of time. Big American breakfast is very nice. Employees are very nice. All the time adding coffee to your cup, telling stories and serving fast. Chef is an amazing guy. Food is very tasty! They also have lunches! They opened very early!

You got to try Dereks Catfish! Delish diner food all the time. Only open till 1:30pm, thats only downfall. Always welcomed with a smile.

This is an amazing diner. I was visiting from New York and had a monstrous hang over. The waitress was so attentive and caring for my hungover needs. Makes you feel right at home. The food was delicious, which is hard to say with an upset stomach. I would highly recommend this place.

The breakfast was delicious! The home fries are out of this world. This little mom and pop restaurant was definitely worth the stop.

THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST PLACE IN THE AREA IVE BEEN TO FOR BREAKFAST!!!I usually get the Blueberry French Toast, with a side of grits, and some scrambled eggs and it tastes out of this world! The staff is very friendly, I can always count on my coffee being topped off several times, they have nice background music playing, and the prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend this hidden gem!

The food is delicious! The waitress is somewhat decent. Sometimes she takes a while to get the bill to your table. The prices are reasonable and the food is authentic southern style cooked.

Not much to look at from the outside, but its perfectly welcoming inside and the food and service was wonderful. We had breakfast and the portions were large, the food tasty and the price was very reasonable. Nice people as well. We will be back!

WORST SERVICE EVER! Waffles were really bad so when te waitress finally came, I tell her that the waffles didnt taste good and she in a rude was say is the same waffles that they are eating in the other table (like if some other people palate was relevant to my complain) and I added also the strawberries in the top are frozen and she said well are not fresh strawberries (whut?) So she got the check back and say you should have told me before (funny its that she didnt walk by the table at all before) I was telling her that she didnt need to pick the check cuz I was not asking for a refund but she just raised her hand like whatever and walk away while I was talking, long history short the service is worst that their food.

Waffles light and fluffy. . they make great grits, potatoes very tasty, not to much seasoning, good background music. The new location seems to suit his place.We tried a lot of things you can get in and out of here cheap and the food is very good.

Horrible. From beginning to end. One star as a pity vote for cook because food was OK. Just OK. Not sure what other reviewers had but the pancake tasted like the batter was spoiled so my daughter had to eat some of mine, which is fine except for the fear of being assessed a $3 charge for sharing. The place is nasty. Tacky decorations but who doesnt like a good price at the Dollar Store? Walls could use a wipe down but maybe the splatters of diners of the past add ambiance.That said, the server was one of the worst Ive had in a long time. Maybe she needs a hug or something but service/hospitality is not for her. It was uncomfortable from the start. Unwilling to help us with our requests, short answers, just rude. We came because the reviews were good, and now I feel obligated to say the other side of it. WHY OH WHY IS THIS PLACE STILL OPEN? Never ever would I recommend this!!!

This Place is absolutely amazing!!! Ive been going here since I was little. The people are really friendly and it is this really cool hole in the wall. Looks like a biker bar but is totally worth it.

Took my wife for breakfast one morning thought it looked like a nice little place, Only to find filthy and rude surroundings we sat down at a table the waitress dropped menus down n walked away in front of us was ripped out page of the metro news paper with a napkin n silverware on I saw this and moved my napkin off the paper with my silverware n my wife as well n we crumbled it up thats gross dirty to use pieces of newspapers as dinner Matts, We when the waitress came over she said what you do to your dinner Matts thats to put under your plates and I said thats not sanitary and she grunted and walked off, we eventually got food which I could not eat for reasons after dealing with the rudeness and unsafe server ethics of this waitress and her establishment, maybe the board of health should come see your place Matts.

Wow, amazingly bad! Id give negative stars if I could. We went there yesterday because the reviews were good. We were surprised to find out how many different ways a restaurant could be terrible. Waitress was a nightmare, place was very grimey, menu is ok but they dont make any changes and wouldnt give me potatoes without bell peppers. The waitress just said, rudely hes not gonna change his recipe for you ...gave me a nasty tone for that! Amazing. Understandable maybe in a fancy place but this was the greasiest dive ever. Building was so run down inside and out with signs everywhere that youre on camera. They only take cash. I asked for water with lemon and she gave me tap water and said they dont have lemon. It just kept going and going. So bad! I guess if you want cheap food and dont mind...well, every drawback imaginable in exchange for cheap food, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, ANYwhere else beats them by a mile.

Be very careful here, there are no hours posted and they close at 2pm. When I called at 1:30 to ask if they served breakfast all day the lady who answered said yes with NO MENTION of the fact that they close daily at 2PM!!!! So incredibly unhappy now, thats pretty thoughtless.

Poor service. Walked in, and was told there was a table in the corner. Sat for twenty minutes with no one waitress coming over to us. Got up and left, and no one still said a thing.
