Extremely helpful staff and they have the oddball/old school hardware you may need that you WILL NOT find at sLowes or Homely Depot. They will cut glass for you (up to a 36 x 36 sheet) and offer screen repair services. They also rent equipment (man lifts, lawn and garden power equipment, trenchers, mowers... about anything. They even sell homemade apple cider.

The folks there are ready and waiting for you when you come in. They stay with you till you are done or dont need any more help. Nice place with just enlarged and remodeled place. Fun to go there. Oh, and they have dog treats for your best friend if he happens to be with you. I always take Winston with me. Happy sales to you!

Every time I walk into this store, I am greeted with a smile and how can we help you ? I recently made an order that they had to order and was to be delivered to my home. They ensured me it would be in the next day. It was and they delivered it. The crew that brought it to my house were great, professional and actually fun to work with. I asked them how they liked working for Overstreet and all three were so very complimentary of the owners and had nothing but good things to say.

Sales people seemed pretty disinterested in helping for some reason. Mask compliance was marginal.

True Value was such a joy to work with as we were preparing for our wedding. We rented our wedding equipment rentals from them for the reception and they were so personable, caring, and professional. We worked with Andrea and she was such a sweetheart. She was always quick to respond and really she really cared. Im thankful that we were able to work with her as we prepared for our special day. The equipment was also very affordable.

Overstreet Hardware is fantastic. The employees are well trained, very helpful and friendly. It is locally owned and the owners are invested in providing the best service and products for our area. When you see a place where the employees are happy and have been working for the same company for years, you know the owners are doing something very right!

The repair shop here is excellent. The staff are all friendly and this is just a great hardware store. Ive always came here for all my needs and whenever I do small projects. A couple of the employees even know me by name and talk to me casually. Nice place.

This place staff is great UNTIL you actually bump into the owner - Catherine Overstreet. I’ve been going to this business since I was a child and when it was owned by True Value hardware. Catherine is incredibly rude, even at the simplest of questions asked to her. Her body language is one that shows she doesn’t even want to spend the time to look at you, and comment on my questions with such a disdain attitude. What a shame that an owner would be so rude to its customers. Today was the last time I will purchase anything from the store.

This store always has what I need, and employees are knowledgeable and helpful. I bought chicks here in the spring, and Im always able to find the kind of feed that I want for them and for my older hens. I also found a quality feed holder for less than it cost online.

We also had negative dealings with someone at the back desk for Stihl repairs. The shorter chunky guy (not sure his name) was unprofessional and unmannerly. They did not want to even hear what was wrong with our saw just write a ticket and put it in the back.

The staff is very helpful, and one employee was extremely kind and patient when helping me find what I needed. I have a hard time finding screws and bolts, but one guy (I’m pretty sure his name was Braden/Brayden?) took his time to make sure that I left with exactly what I needed. I’ve been to other hardware stores, and no one has ever taken their time like that to help a measly customer, such as myself

Went here on a Sunday afternoon to shop for Stihl trimmers.Spent over an hour trying them, reading about the difference between them & comparing them.The salesman was very accommodating although not very educated in the perticular product, but that was alright since we were just in the research stage.We already had been in the newer store by Kroger when it opened so figured we would check out the older one.Set up a bit different but still just as good as the new one.Huge selection of grills & outdoor items!Will be going back!

Absolutely love this place. Did you know they rent chain saws. Make sure you call ahead to see when they are available. They also rent tons of yard equipment. But the store is really great they have tons of house hold fixer upper stuff. Stop by and check it out, I promise you won’t be disappointed. Customer service is great, most of the time they greet you from the door, if you have a confused look on your face some one will come and help you. Also, they make copies of your house keys and they sell hide-away stones and stuff. That store has some thing for everyone.

Great selection of things you cant find elsewhere. Theyll refill your grill propane tank Vs trading in (cheaper). The staff is hit or miss. Most staff have been wonderful, but there have been times that I felt talked down too when asking for things.

Went into the old location a few weeks ago and had a negative experience. Its a shame that this store has hired people like Matt to work in the customer service area for Stihl. I was there to purchase a few items and was given the incorrect sized chain and they were unable to order a part that I needed. I guess lack of knowledge and experience in their products is the issue. As a contractor I would expect my local hardware store to be polite, helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to my business needs. I will never purchase another thing from either of their stores. Its a real inconvenience to be 1.5 hrs away and discover the chain doesnt fit my saw.

This is the place to go if you want to have a real, human experience, get what you need, and get on your way with a smile on your face. There are always plenty of helpful people here who are really knowledgeable about the products, and who seem to genuinely care about the customers. I choose this True Value over big blue and big orange whenever I can.

I am not from around here. Went in and was immediately ask if they could help me. They did in very friendly way. I was impressed.

Great store but not happy they close at 6pm. Makes it hard to get there after work if you need something.

Rented a stump grinder. Cut out after 2nd stump. Returned it and I was charged for an additional day rental. Now to be fair, I did not realize the store was open on Sunday so I returned Monday am, but there was zero concern by the staff member my item did not work or no discount given. There was not another grinder in stock to rent so now I have to wait longer to finish the project.

I am amazed at the level of customer service they are able to provide. It is like you step back in time to how it used to be everywhere and is such a welcoming change to daily life. I have never been disappointed with anything ive got from the store and everybody seems to be very knowledgeable.

Take all your Stihl business FAR FAR away from this place. POOR customer service and VERY rude people at the STIHL counter!!! Told me to take my items to where I purchased them they did not have time to fix them!! They were purchased at this location and have never been repaired or damaged. Took it to the dealer in Rustburg and they repaired it in less than 5 mins.

Great place to shop. It was my first visit, and was helped very quickly and friendly.

Customer service is great. Some of the items are a bit pricier than other places. But for major Stihl parts they are the place to go. Also surprisingly for vacuum cleaner belts, had a year old vacuum that couldnt find a new belt for. They had it, granted it was dusty from sitting hanging on the hook but I didnt have to order it offline and wait weeks or possibly buy a new vacuum.

I will always try this place first for my hardware needs. The service/help in finding what I need is consistently good. In the rare case they dont have what I need, the next stop is going to be Fastenal, Fergusons, or... online - because the 2 bigbox hardware stores likely wont have it either. Support a locally-owned franchise by shopping here.

Weve used their rental service numerous times and weve never had an issue. Extremely flexible and always helpful, the customer service is second to none - no one is in a rush to get away from you, I guess thats the difference in a family run business. The range is selection is impressive with great prices too. Looking forward to going back there again!

Older white lady at front desk has very rude mannerisms. Gentleman that stands at the center of the store stares at you as if you are going to hold someone hostage. When I asked where the locks and safes were he said Where you just were, if you didnt see what you wanted then we dont have it. I just walked away and saw him pull out a gallon jug of tea, take a huge gulp and then took a stance again waiting for the next lost soul to ask a question. Terrible customer service is not the word. Nightmare is more like it.
