Simply the best 🌭 in town not to mention the Chile 🥣 but i most like the bacon cheesy burger 🍔 it was super juicy 😋 flavorful simple burger. I been here many times ⏲ but never tried the bacon cheesy burger. Servers are great super fast service 👏 most important thing is super cheape $, they do have a gift shop sells various items t-shirts bags ect... parking available this is one of the oldest place in Lynchburg they were serving since 1935 and it was then Texas Tavern 🍺

Classic diner with a menu unique as their famous relish. Got to get the western all the way! The monster fries had a taste of the famous chili leaving you wanting to get bowl! Although the diner is small with a few counter seats that is what makes the place so great! Definitely worth the stop!

Where do I begin? First and foremost, I am certainly impressed with the hard work, loyalty, and patience of the employees at the Texas Inn. Just as I arrived, I witnessed a rude customer attempting to get a response from one of the waitresses, but rather than escalating it, she remained patient, something that is difficult for most to accomplish. Also, I tried their banana pie, cheeseburger, and fries and immediately loved the taste (particularly speaking, I enjoyed the seasoned salt on the fries as it took me back to some childhood memories). Simply put, this five star review is well deserved, and I thank the employees at Texas Inn for showing me what real work looks like.

I have loved this inn for many decades. And I still go there for the great cheesy westerns and old fashioned vanilla ice cream.Watching them cook your food on the grill is the same way they have always done it. The staff is great and kind. It feels like family.

It looks like a real old school diner where you eat sitting around the bar which kind of has this communal feel. The waitress was super welcoming and I loved her accent. The prices are cheap and food is served quick. I had their cheeseburger and monster fries. Both were delicious. Cant wait to stop by again.

Amazing burgers (cheesy Western to be exact) Wasnt a fan of the chili, but did notice many people loved it. I guess it wasnt for me. Clearly a go-to for locals. Happy to have run across this place while in town and would go back to order 2 cheesy westerns and share the big basket of fries with family. Place has limit seating (diner setup) and was busy when we arrive. Waitress handled everything like a pro and delivered great customer service.

Classic, solid diner food in a small, cozy place.The cheesy western is the signature burger to get, and the cheese fries are decent. The cheese on top needed a hit of salt and pepper but the fries were warm and fluffy on the inside, crisp on the outside.Several menu options feature a house relish that was excellent. Otherwise, the food was good but not great.Texas Inn is an institution and a great for a late night meal, but its not going to change your life.

I have been coming from Charleston, SC to Lynchburg almost monthly for the last 2 years for work. Today I was introduced to this jewel of a diner. By local recommendation, I ordered a cheesy all the way, and a hotdog all the way. I am a little upset with the locals I work with, who have not mentioned this place in the last 2 years! Saying they were delicious is an understatement. I ate them at noon, and right now at almost 7:00 pm, they are all I can think about. There is no way I could ever pick between a burger, OR a hotdog. That would be like picking a favorite child out of my two. I am here for a few more days, and I can guarantee I will be back at least a few more times. Awesome food, amazing staff, and a truly unforgettable experience!

Great old time restaurant. People were very friendly and actually talked to you. Food was good and prices were affordable. You really could tell that this was a Lynchburg original. Its been in Lynchburg since the 1930s.

I think this was truly the best comfort food I have ever had! Late night,pleasurable staff and truly great service and food.! Heck even the customers all said hello when we walked in and told us all what they chose from the menu. Apparently the Western is good !💁Donate the chili dogs with bacon and cheese. And the loaded fries. I craved this after we ate here. Now. It is small and 15 stools tiny diner. But really good ole food,no fancy anything. Real people gray food.

Its a pretty old building,the restroom access is on the side of the building outside away from the eating area. Its a cozy little dive where you eat at a bar and the staff is really super friendly. The sweet tea is very very good,I had a burger and I was not disappointed, the only issue I had was the bun wasnt toasted, so youd have to request that upon ordering hotdogs or burgers . They offer novelty items hats and t-shirts also. Its really great for a nostalgic experience for guests 40 and up and great for younger people that want a different eating experience as far as the atmosphere goes. I really liked it and Ill go back there next time I visit Lynchburg again.

What makes this place so enjoyable is that it has a small town diner feel. Its the kind of place regulars go to get coffee and a biscuit in the morning every week day. The food is good and its very cheap. I can have two good size burgers and fries for around $6. Defiantly worth a visit.

Texas Inn the T room in Lynchburg is really good. Their hot dogs, hamburgers and chilli are amazing, especially when you ask for them all the way. Highly recommend the Lynchburg Texas Inn!

The Texas Inn is a Lynchburg landmark and institution. The Lynchburg experience includes eating a Cheesy Western (burger, egg, cheese and relish) and a cup of chile at the Texas Inn (affectionately known as the T-Room). The servers are friendly and very chatty; you may walk in as a stranger to them but you will leave as their friend.

The World Famous Bomb as usual. Took people from out of state for their first Western. Want me to mail them one now!

My husband introduced me to the T-Room almost 20 years ago. Hot dogs all the way are my automatic go-to. Theyre great, as are the staff who treat you like family; especially us regulars. And if something is made wrong or youre accidentally given something you didnt ask for, theyll make it right with an apology and a smile (and a laugh from all if you arent a jerk about it). Its not fancy dining, but Ill take down home food and the occasional picking on my husband over upscale any day.

You might pay for it later lol but it’s worth it. I don’t live near there anymore but when I go to visit it’s differently a stop for us!

Hands down my favorite downtown food place. I mean yes you could go somewhere “hip” and “grungy” like RP but why do that when you can go HERE for cheap DELICIOUS burgers and hotdogs and chili and hilarious, kind, yet stern with the drunkards which I mean who could resist the free entertainment? Man I would give anything for a cheesy with bacon right now but I’m stuck in Washington State. Do yourself a favor and GO.

By far my favorite place to stop when visiting friends and family. I recommend a bowl and a western “all the way”. Make sure to add crackers and mustard to your bowl for the finishing touch!

11/26..., update this place has really done a 360 and it has been very welcoming and cleaner with extra staff on site...This location is for the true Patron only, most of the time you will be overlooked and often cussed out for the pleasure of being patient plus the cooks often touch their face with their gloves on and the buildings always over crowded

Best place to a Cheesy Western and a Bowl with

This is the kind of place that you dont imagine exists anymore and youd probably stay away if you didnt know better. There is a counter with about 15 stools. Thats it for dining space; lots of people come in for carryout. The staff is personable and efficient, the place is exceptionally well-kempt, and the food is properly good and inexpensive (two fresh burgers, fries, and a bottomless Coke for $11). Be sure to ask what the different items are because the names dont necessarily explain much, but the Cheesy Western is a cheeseburger with a fried egg and tangy mustardy relish. Its an unusual take on a cheeseburger. And its enough of a Lynchburg tradition that I saw a pan of Cheesy Western sliders at a banks year-end gala that night too

Little old mom and pops places like this always are a treat! Had to try the highly recommended cheesy western and I certainly was not disappointed. While a burger with an egg and cheese and housemade relish might sound weird... IT WORKS!!! my honey got a bacon cheeseburger which he enjoyed as well. Love the atmosphere, you can def tell this is a place where the locals come. Chris who took our order was a sweetheart with her southern hospitality. We will be back!

Discovered a local institution in Lynchburg this weekend, the Texas Inn. Cool little diner. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was GREAT!Had the chilli dogs with some amazing homemade macaroni salad. Will most definitely be back.
