Unless you are looking for a place to do your algebra homework, look for coffee elsewhere. Pretty sure the baristas are in high school and have yet to go through the chemistry class that teaches the boiling point of water. Was really hoping that the coffee would taste as good as the place looks. But this place will remind you not to judge a book by its cover.

This place is THE best! The baristas are super friendly, they even remembered my order from months ago. When I ordered their pour over the gave me extra grinds for FREE which made me like 5 cups of coffee that week! I believe it was AJ, hes awesome! The coffee is delicious and its a really great atmosphere. Highly recommended. 5 stars. ☆☆☆☆☆

I use to go to Philip’s Plaze often previously when there use to be a Starbucks, bit once the coffee shop left the mall I had stopped going there. Until recently when I found out that ground central had opened up, I was pleasantly surprised and very happy. They also have amazing verity of coffee.

The fritata egg sandwich with avocado was absolutely delicious. Iced coffee mixed just right. Excellent service and peaceful atmosphere for a coffee and catching up on reading or work. WIFI was flawless.

My Fíance and I came here for the 1st time and really enjoyed it! 🤗 I had a matcha latte ( 1 of my favs🍵!) and he had a plain coffee☕. we also got some grub as well! We both enjoyed it too! We looked around the place and it reminded us of other places weve been to! Definitely would come back here again! The staff was very friendly!

I love this place! Good coffee, great staff, overall great energy. I love the interior, really cozy and also you can play their board games or read books. Comfortable seating options - I love the leather couches. Oh, I forgot to mention they have great pastries, 50% off in the evening. They even have some gluten free options which is always a plus.

Aj is the best and i mean thee best barista that there is out here. He know his drinks like the back of his head and he knows what the customer is looking for even if they are indecisive. Visiting the area and stopped by this Ground Central Coffee 9/15 around 1:50pm for a cold beverage. The interior is very lovely and nicely done and so is the attention to detail. There were two staff working - a female and a tall male. The female(name on receipt Etienne) who processed my payment and order is the reason for the 2-Star rating instead of a 5. Her customer service was unacceptable. She had a somewhat distracted, bothered, disinterested, and distant disposition. When it came time to leave the tip on the screen, the tone of her voice when she verbally directed me to select an option on the screen was tinged with attitude and disrespect. If it werent for the lovely interior and the pleasant and friendly male staff Id give this outfit a 1-Star. A smile doesnt cost anything but brings many rewards. Management needs to counsel this employee on the importance of good customer service.

Great atmosphere and great coffee. They had some muffin samples, which I wish were stored under glass; offered and given by an employee instead of being openly by the registers. IMO, The seating can be slightly improved, by having smaller metal tables instead of the large one on the right side of the establishment.Update**2/4/19**The staff really makes the place shine... It feels more like a neighborhood spot, all Im missing while sipping my delicious coffee is my version of Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Chandler and Joey (Im obviously Ross, bc he gets Rachel, LMAO 🤣).

Prior to the pandemic I used to come here all the time. I was even here a few days before lockdown. Went in for the first time since then today, and the place was packed with maskless people sitting in close proximity to each other. I dont know why the owners and/or manager dont seem to care about the health and safety of their patrons or employees, but its clear that they dont. I will not be coming back, which is unfortunate because the baristas here prior to all of this were really sweet people and they deserve to work somewhere safe.

Best coffee and fine choice edibles....super Mcintosh Sound system with choice albums....craft beer selection.....Staff is incredible.

The latte was a bit milky and the people who sit their spend a lot of time there so you might want to go early if you want a good seat.

The drinks, food, and atmosphere are all good, and the people here are nice. I watched the barista bring out an older womans drink to her rather than make her walk up. That kind of thing makes the place feel more comforting than a Starbucks.

The cold brew is amazingly not bitter!! The staff is friendly. Unfortunately, they were out of gluten free goodies, but that they usually have something gluten free. I would suggest though that they should be stocked with everything, including gluten free items, on a Friday evening!! Its the weekend!!!The music is chill and not loud.There is a variety of seating (chairs and tables, sofas and armchairs) that is cozy....not in the bad cozy small way, but in the chill... talk to your neighbor if youre down.. or do your own thing.I came to this new to me coffee house this evening for the first time and I get good vibes here. Nice staff very friendly comfortable environment. Book exchange which was a nice surprise as I sat and relaxed I got interested in a book off the shelf and I was able to take it home. The music was pleasant although maybe a little bit loud . The coffee was hot and fresh I enjoyed it wasnt too strong wasnt too weak had a nice flavor I just got a regular cup of coffee.

Ive been here 10 minutes and I love the place already. Decor is great. Music is awesome. Coffee is better than Starbucks. My cheddar chive biscuit is fantastic. I think Ive found my new place to work from when I need a little break from the monotony of the home office.

Music has been toned down to normal background-music levels recently for customers to be able to focus on conversations, reading, or doing work, which is a huge plus. Food is not to be overlooked- great sandwiches. Great coffee shop with cool design/vibe! Only come here now when in the area.

Really adorably comfortable space with lots of seating options. The coffee menu is fancy and its just the way I like it. Just a core menu of coffee favorites and some sandwich options. Glad I found this place, highly recommend the nitro cold brew I got on tap 🙂

I had been so over Starbucks (and their accompanying attitude) for a while now so I was thrilled when they moved out and Ground Central moved in. What a terrific swap. The coffee is great, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff members are efficient and friendly.

Love the baristas and its a great place to destress, get work done and chat with friends.

Happy this new spot opened; awesome alternative to the usual. Some real style, and Chad, Remy and all are so welcoming and kind. I hear Chad opened multiple locations in the past and it’s evident his shining, yet in-command personality is the reason why. Looking forward to many good times here. Been here a few times. Love the coffee and the pastry selection. Only tried one item off the new food menu (ham/cheese crossaint) and it did not heat well. Had to ask it to be heated 2x and the crossaint kept getting hotter but the inside remained cold. Overall the staff is pretty much friendly and the decor has this cool laid back vibe. Definitely will be back and looking forward to trying more items

The only real coffeehouse in near the south shore, this place has great atmosphere, amazing staff, and when chad is working, Great music. Coffee is of course great quality. All staff are skilled at their jobs, but chad has an exceptional gift.

Ground Central is my number one place to come to for coffee, studying, or a quick snack. They’re more convenient than Starbucks and their products are twice the quality. The staff are welcoming and the location is comfortable. Also, special thanks to Dylan for making me the best coffee I’ve had all week.

The coffee here completely blows Starbucks out of the water, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the music is cranked up way too loud, but most people there seemed to enjoy it, so I guess it is a matter of personal preference

The coffee is great and the place is beautiful but the real reason i am giving ground central 5 stars is because of the staff. Every time i walk in they say hi they talk to me and are just the nicest people i have ever met. The first time I went i was having a really bad day. I walked in and someone (the nicest person at the entire place) greeted me with a smile. That small thing made such a huge difference. If you havent gone in yet then go you have no idea what you are missing. Great job guys!
