Great customer service, the lady tune and fix my violin in no time! She was very sweet and so was the guy in there!
They did a great set-up and spa treatment on my Gibson electric. It looks and plays like it should. Two of the nicest folks you would hope to meet. I will be going back to them again.
I love this place! This is what a music store is supposed to be, business in the front, lessons in the back and dancing Santa in between. Mom and Pop family owned, quaint, useful and every bit as home cooked as one could want. Perfect fit in Lutz. If they don’t have what you need they will get it, and don’t think that they won’t remember you every single time you walk in the door. Lovely people, caring and helpful and considerate. If you are doing your music business here then you are completely missing out on one great experience. Save Amazon for another day, go hang out in the store, play instruments and visit your child side while you still can.
Had a great experience here the owners are cool and super knowledgeable about their products.
Great place! My daughter just started guitar lessons. Great local small business. Very knowledgeable owners & staff
Really nice people!
Went to happy tunes guitar today. Got some new stings and decided to have them clean and restring my electric guitar. Marsha did a phenomenal job! It looks brand new like the day I bought it off the shelf! Was so throughly impressed with her craftsmanship! I highly recommend this store! It exceeded all expectations. Not everyone gets to hold your guitar. But you happy tunes I trust!
Very friendly, extremely knowledgable, and happy to help with all musical needs. Really nice selection of instruments of all kinds. I love that its a local business too, much prefer to give back to the community than big franchise chains if I can help it. You may not see them if youre not looking, but go check it out!
I called in inquiring about a repair and the woman who answered the phone was very unfriendly. So much so I decided to do the repair myself.
I just discovered this place yesterday.Guitars,strings,straps.cords and you dont need to drive from lutz/LOL to Tampa! its not huge, but what you need is here or they will get it for you! I cant believe Ive driven by this place without seeing it. Support your local businesses! Nice people too!
Nice convenient family owned business with a good variety
I would highly recommend this place if you have an instrument that needs to be fixed. They have been in business for a long time and know who to send their instruments too. They did an awesome job and it was fast! My 37 year old trumpet that I used in school is now my daughters in middle school. It needed to be soldered and put back together. When I got it back, it was soldered, all the dents were straightened, new pads, and cleaned. It works and looks great! 5 stars from me!! Don’t go anywhere else in North tampa.
Local lessons by knowledgeable staff. Was a super cramped placed a lesson room seems small. The amount of instruments on the wall was very good, very nice selection. We came for a repair and it was a quick drop off with no issues. The biggest issue was the cleanliness of the restroom. So gross and no soap.
Omg this was a surreal experiance...I assume the people working were a couple but they were in their elderly days, they were supper unenthusiastic and didnt really care, also I had to repeat everything I sad 3 times because they didnt hear me. Midway my purchase they started telling at each other and fighting.😭 dont come here People!!!
I knew I was going to be traveling to Tampa last week so I packed my grandmothers old accordion. I had already taken it to several music shops here in Kansas City. Everyone said it was beyond repair. I stopped in at Happy Tunes as a last resort. Marsha took a look at it and suggested I leave it for her to work on while I was on vacation. I stopped back on the way home to find my instrument not only repaired, but cleaned and looking like new. The price was reasonable and quite manageable. Now I am back in Kansas City. My grandmother is delighted and relearning how to play the instrument that she loved in her youth. Cant wait for the next trip to Florida, I am gathering up long abandoned instruments and plan to return them to their owners cleaned and repairs. I am sure the owners will be delighted to return to the passion of years gone by.
I have been attending lessons here for almost 3 years and I have to say Don and Marsha make me feel like family. Add to that the fantastic instructor Will (guitar) and it keeps me coming back month after month. I highly recommend.
We have been talking my boys to happy tunes music for about four months now. I work nights so I couldnt go to most of the lessons but the couple times I would get to go with I would leave saying I really dont like the way Marsha is with my 6 year old. I felt she was harsh with him but my husband said she was fine. Well this past week during a piano lesson my 6 year old put his head on the piano and she didnt like it so she pulled him up by his hair. We will never take our children back to happy tunes music. I just wonder what she could have done while my husband was checking on my oldest. Keep your children safe. Dont go there ever.I wish I could have given less then 1 star.
What a delightful experience dealing with Don & Marsha.Just a little background about myself. I have a 12 string guitar which I have not played in ages and thought I would start again. I came into the store and bought new strings for it. (Very Reasonable - About $16) I went home installed them and tried to tune it with my tuner with no success. I spoke with Martha on the phone and she said just bring it in. To make a long story short: I tuned it a whole octave out, she tuned it correctly ( about an hours worth of time),Don & Marsha shared with me all their restaurant experiences, and gave me an education on organic seeds. When I asked about the cage: Dont worry about it was the response. I highly recommend them for all your music needs. My summation would be integrity, fair, and hospitable.
They were So nice and extremely helpful strongly recommend them
I want to rock....
Very awful would not recommend!During piano classes, instructor was falling a sleep and did fall asleep several times. When she came out she told us that the student was doing horrible and it took a long time because of the student. But really it was because the instructor kept falling asleep. We chose Happy Tunes because we had three people to enroll and they could get them all in on the same day at the same time. But after only two lessons they tried to change one student to Thursdays and the other two to Wednesdays. We did get a refund, but after much fighting. Dont go here!
Gave them business for over ten years and they continued to disappoint me. Repairs were never done on time, the staff was exceedingly rude on the phone every time I called even though they know who I am and usually it was just to ask you said this repair would be done in three days and its been two weeks...is it done? NO WE SAID WED CALL YOU. Thats not how you talk to a customer, ESPECIALLY when you write ASAP on a ticket and then leave it in the exact place for weeks on end. Go to Sam Ash or guitar World.
Needed a neck strap. I got what I needed quickly and cheap.
Amazing deals. Mom and pop shop.
A great place to get music supplies!
This place should be called Angry tunes.
They would take your money even if you told them in advance you wont be able to come, they wouldnt care.
