Needed a storage space unexpectedly and stopped by Midgard. Spoke to one guy while renting a Uhaul truck and he showed me a couple of options along with prices. He didnt rush me to make a decision as I needed to determine how much I would be picking up. Returned next day with my loaded truck. Different guy working but he quickly found my info and also showed me another option.Both gentlemen were professional and helpful. I think they saw my stress and understood my needs. I picked out a space that fit my needs. No high pressure to upgrade to something more than I needed.The contract details and options were fully explained to me as we went through it. No rush.Overall great experience. I am not expecting to rent long-term but I will be a repeat customer if needed again after this situation.Highly recommend Midgard Storage.

JB was very helpful and able to secure some boat storage. Took the time to listen to my needs and we landed on the perfect spot for the new boat. Was able to work out a reasonable price considering the demand for storage but very pleased with outcome.

We reserved a truck, provided payment and spoke with the owner/manager 3 times to ensure a smooth transition. When we went to pick up the truck at the agreed upon time, there was no truck, no attendant, no answered phone calls or returned text. Been a loyal paying customer for 3 years. In the last 4 months, they raised my rent almost $100. No email, no letter. Just raised it $45+ every other month. How are people supposed to be able to affors storage? If you dont pay it, they sell your stuff. Buyer beware. Plus it takes on average 10 times to get someone to actually answer the phone to pay the bill.
Midgard exceeded my expectations with the cleanliness and organization of the facility and the stellar customer service! BJ, Morgan and Kevin were excellent! We had an extremely hard move and was a terrible experience leaving our home with insanely short notice. What was expected to be a two day move took five days! BJ in particular really went above and beyond helping with storage needs and extending our truck rental when we desperately needed it. Honestly the team was the highlight in what was an absolutely dreadful moving experience! HIGHLY recommend Midgard for your storage and truck rental needs!!! We got the run around from other companies and this team just figured out what we needed and how to make it happen. Thanks again BJ, Morgan and Kevin! You were life savers. Could not have made it through the move without your help!

DON’T DO IT!!! BAIT &SWITCH...CONSISTENT PRICE INCREASES. Property & units run down from when the original owner had it. Exit gate constantly jams. Place is a mess.

Had a u-haul reserved for pickup at 10am tried to check in via app kept getting error telling me come inside. Went inside only to be told they had no truck available for me. Wasted my time for another 30 mins “searching” when I could see from a quick online search none where available. A simple call at the least in advance before I wasted time driving up here and so I could have secured a reservation elsewhere would have been the right thing to do instead of just blocking my online check in.

I have only had this unit 4 months and today I received an email that prices are going up. I only had to get the storage because I was displaced due to Covid and now they are price gauging when i can barely afford it as it is. I will be moving my stuff out this weekend just for the purpose of it. I am not a happy customer.

We have stored our RV in different storage facilities we like Midgard the best easy access for renters and keeping the grounds clean weve been in storage houses that look like junk yards we dont want to keep our RV in a junkyard keep up the good work midgard
The units themselves are nice, but I have had nothing but negative service experiences since this facility changed hands a bit over a year ago. Despite being on autopay, they somehow have managed to lose my information at least four times, even when I updated it in person. And then I get charged late fees. And no one ever answers the phone or returns calls.Honestly, if this wasnt the only place with climate controlled drive up units available in this area, wed have moved our business elsewhere already.
I am always impressed everytime I use Midgard Storage. I’ve moved a ton in my life and these guys are always quick, clean, and kind. Morgan has helped me a couple times and been great to work with each time. Thanks!

Cannot honestly recommend this storage business, I WAS a long time customer (18 yrs) been there before Midgard took over this operation. Since they have changed owners this place has went down hill quickly. fIrst thing they did was remove all the garbage cans and told us that the customers steal them ! Then the new operation seems to have a love affair with raising the monthly storage rates. First right after they took over and now three times in one year ! When there is a problem the standard answer is its the company policy there is no care in the world for the staff here to have any type of customer retention. They implement rules and strictly enforce their policys about giving a 30 day notice to leave when this was not the case when I signed the contract when I moved in years ago. So in my case Im out a additional month of rent just because they didnt get a notice to vacate in time 4 days late and now paying for a month that I am not even at the location. The security gates now seem to have maintenance issues frequently and just seems that the value is just no longer there. Much nicer operations nearby. Said to see a well run business go south like this place. Will not be back.

If no stars were an option that is what they would get. Every since they changed hands to Midgard the customer service and communications has been the worst I have ever seen in a business like this. They sent me a delinquent noticed and the rate was wrong. They did admit that it was there fault but then the proceed to tell me they sent me a new contract when the changed hands which is totally untrue, never received any communication from them. I sold my RV and notified them no longer needed my spot which I had pre paid for as I paid my bill quarterly. I asked for a refund for the remaining 2 months and they told me no that its in the contract NO REFUNDS, which is ridiculous since I am not using the remaining 2 months that I had prepaid for. Wrong way to do business. I am sure they will rent it out immediately and collect rent on it.I would not rent anything from this place as the management is very dishonest and dont know what they are doing. You get different answers depending on who you speak with. RENTER BEWARE.
Rates went up, services went down the drain. I called every day several times a day but no answer! I left daily voicemails but no return phone call. Today a person answered but hung up in middle of taking payment. Then Sandra answered but she said many complaints facility not answering their calls they must be busy. I told her I better not get a late charge again because they cant bother to answer!

They give you a written contract with one amount and than charges you another.When you call customer support in Texas, they state someone from the local facility will call you back and no one does!!Save yourself the headaches and aggravation and go somewhere else!!!
I was suppose to do this last week. I absolutely forgot.My experience was incredible. The staff was very friendly. They was not only trying to keep it business relation but also trying to connect with me. They kept making me laugh and also keeping me informed with things I didn’t know. Especially Marlin, he was really nice had a cute smile and was very polite. He was really cute too.The office was really clean, I’ve been to a couple of uhaul places before and I’ve never seen one as clean as that location.Thank you guys for the great experience.P.S. I could tell Marlin was packing 🍆😉
Terrible customer service. Not at all like the previous owners. Apparently, when the company switched over, they lost all of the credit card information of their current customers. My mother had a storage unit (with me as co-customer). When she passed away 2 months ago, my sister (who lives in NC, took over the storage unit until she could return to pick up the items she chose to keep. My sister gave them her credit card info which they somehow lost or never received from the previous owners. I received a text message regarding my moms account being past due. I went in that same day to explain the circumstances. The person at the desk said he thought it would be alright for my sister to take care of the account when she returned the following week, but he apparently made no notes of it. 4 days later, I received a phone call saying we would be charged late fees (although it was due just that day) if the account wasnt settled. I explained that their loss of the correct information wasnt our fault, and we should not be charged a late fee, nor should our account be considered delinquent. Today, when we stopped by to put a few items in for my sister to pick up this week, we were locked out of the account. Staff said, sorry the account is past due (by less than a week). Given the circumstances, and the fact that the payment issues were their issues, and that we were responsive each time we were contacted, and we were told it could wait until this week when my sister returns, it seems very unprofessional, not to mention unkind, to take this approach. By the way, our mother died, but there was no Im sorry for your loss. Customer no-service. No one should be treated this way by a local business.Your response speaks for itself. Ill let readers come to their own conclusions.
I usually don’t make time for these but I have to say it, recently acquired a moving truck and auto transport from the Midgard Storage in Lutz Florida, Absolutely outstanding service! I was assisted by a guy named Marlon, very professional and friendly could not have hope for better help! He made this experience very smooth and easy for us and we will never forget this awesome level of customer service! Thank you!
I had been a customer for several years. The company changed hands and when I chose to vacate my unit they insisted on a 30 day notice. My existing contract with the old company was the only contract I ever signed and it stated you were only required to give a 3 day notice. I am extremely unsatisfied with their reasoning on giving 30 day notice. They raised their rates 3 times in one year and then still hit me with the final month bill. I would never recommend this storage facility. When I called to try and reason with them they didnt care. Said when they took over their policies were now in force. Will be looking into legal options to get my money back.
We rented a storage unit under the previous owners (54 U Storage) and have continued for about 6 months under the new ownership (Midgard). This is the cleanest storage unit in the area! I have never seen any type of bug inside, let alone a cockroach, and weve never had any trouble with flooding like weve heard about from other storage units in the area. The whole area is also passcoded to enter the complex, and you can also rent a U-Haul from the same company if needed. The locks given are those fancy circular locks, too - very secure (though pricey to replace if lost or damaged). Rest assured that your belongings will be safe here!
Working with Chad has been one of the best parts of my moving experience. The facility is clean, well maintained and in a great location. Chad and the office staff provide excellent, courteous service. I would not hesitate to use this facility again.
This is the best U-Haul dealer in the Wesley Chapel-Lutz area. The people who work here are extremely helpful and courteous. I actually drive past another dealer because they are so great!

I understand the policy of thirty days notice, however there are times for professional judgment as well. We rented a storage unit for a family member who unexpectedly passed away. We notified them within ten days of the existing month. They still forced us to pay for the entire next month! How do you plan on a family members death? Shame on them for taking advantage of the situation. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone.
When it was 54 Ustore service was perfect. Since being bought out by Midgard it has been nothing but problems. Can not properly process payments correctly and then locks you out of the unit for non payment. Changed due date of payment to make it more convenient for Midgard rather than the customer. Absolutely trash service and would suggest people use other company’s than Midgard.
Please don’t lease this place they open your units even if you’re are paying the rent and charge more money when you vacate the unit many options don’t lease here

I have been with this storage facility for years and the customer service Ive received from Chad, has been impeccable! They have the highest quality facilities and customer service, you will not find better. I will continue to refer people to them.
I am writing this review on behalf of Leeann OHalloran who purchased an abandoned storage unit. She is well aware that you get whatever it is sight unseen for the most part but this unit was primarily garbage. When her 10 year old son received a significant head wound from a loose board with a rusty nail that fell on his head. They offered a band aid!!! Or to call 911. With covid 19 Im no letting my son near an ER unless it is life threatening but did try to find an urgent care in or around Lutz to no avail. At any rate she finally got loaded up and cleaned out but due to her sons injury missed the time deadline by a short while so Midgard U-Haul refused to return her $100 deposit. In times like these when we are all financially suffering this is an especially egregious act and they should return her money as an act of good faith.
Chad was super friendly and helpful. He made the process fast and simple. Definitely will come back to this location.

Cant say enough good things about Midguard Self Storage, Jorge and his team, Eric, Morgan and Marlon are a great bunch of people to deal with, they are very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with, we have multiple units at this location and Jorge is the reason why. Unreal how the new owners ruined the place. Left after 3 years. Nothing but increase after increase. Even after $4800.00 worth of electronics were stolen from my boat.Fair warning, choose somewhere else.

Am very disappointed with the new management and fact I was lied to by one of the employees!! First they raised the prices and when they took over. And when I went to close my account and remove my stuff from storage, I was guaranteed I would not be billed the next month. When I asked for a receipt or confirmation letter my account was closed they wouldnt give me one saying Id get one via email. But instead I got an email showing another payment had been deducted from my checking account! And I was asked to return my lock lbut was not given my deposit back. Worse customers service .

Horrible horrible service! We have been apart of this storage unit for over 10 years before Midgard bought out 54 UStore. Their credit card payment system constantly misplaces your information and are quick to cut access to your unit even though your paid up. We get locked out at least 2-4 month now due to non payment yet we paid or their system screwed up autopay. No notice, no email, just youre locked out. The staff is rude, hangs up on you on the phone, and now their office doesnt open until 9am so now my business vehicle cant be reached until they show up to correct the issue and Im losing money trying to service my customers BEFORE 9am! I think its time to go elsewhere after 2 months of TERRIBLE service. Never had these issues with 54 UStore. Its clearly not getting any better soon. Think twice before using them! Youve been forewarned!

NIGHTMARE.... Customer service is the worst. They’ll lock you out of your unit for mistakes THEY make. Use excuse that they’re updating “the system” . Never had these problem with previous owners (54 storage). Save yourself the aggravation and go with competitor.
