Very conveniently located shop in Lutz/Land o Lakes area. I did an FFL transfer with these folks and it went flawlessly. These guys are busy (as are all gun shops these days) so have patience and realize they are getting slammed. The Staff were busy but courteous and made sure I had what I needed to fill out the paperwork for the background check. Other bigger shops would not even acknowledge that I walked in the door. I am using them again for all my FFL needs, and will buy ammo when they get more ammo and restock their firearm selection. Times are crazy folks.....

I really like this shop. Great selection for the size. I have purchased a gun and have done several online transfers and every experience was great. No rude attitude here. You will be greeted with a friendly smile and left alone to browse and when you are ready you get prompt service. They happily answer questions too. There is almost always something cool in the bargain bin so check it out before you leave.

I’ve known these guys since they were in Tampa (glad they’re up here now, lucky me) and I would purchase or transfer a firearm anyplace else. If they don’t have what your looking for, they can get it, and the owner (Craig) will do the best he can to get you a fair deal, vs. buying online from someone that doesn’t stand behind what they’re selling, because they know what a hassle it is with online gun purchases if you have a problem. If you’re a gun/ 2nd amendment person, you’ll enjoy doing business with them.

Empire Guns is absolutely amazing! The staff treat you like family and the prices are so low Im always left to wonder how they make a profit. Ive been buying and selling firearms & accessories for 30 years and Empire is my one & only go to ffl dealer when considering a new purchase. Fantastic atmosphere and the customer service is top notch. In my humble opinion you can not go wrong stopping by and checking out the merchandise. Best AR selections and prices that I have ever seen. Dont take my word for it take 20 minutes or so out of your day and see for yourselves.

Have been in this shop several times, best customer service you can get. No low-balling on their part. Ive been to other places where I felt that they wanted to scam me, but not this place.Did not know if it was okay to take pictures of all the ammunition. Great selection.

What sets this place apart from other gun stores is their incredibly friendly helpful attitude. They seem more than happy to take whatever out of the case and show it to you and chat about firearms. Great shop! Lots of nice stuff in here, with the best prices in Tampa Bay. Staff is always friendly and accommodating which is important, because theres usually a lot of arrogant people working at gun shops.

I dont have much experience with pawn shops, but I am very familiar with firearms. They made me a great deal on an interesting old gun. I need to stop in and look for something new. Great staff and selection, most importantly: great prices.Edit: also got my 20 gauge bore snake here way cheaper than Ive seen it anywhere else.

Just did a FFL transfer with these guys, they were right on it from the get-go, good bunch of guys. Will utilize them again. BTW: Range ammo I purchased was at a reasonable price too, they also have nice selection of firearms.

I have purchased several weapons from Empire Gun and Pawn. These guys are very fair when it comes to trading in some weapons for one(s) they have in stock. They do not try to take advantage of you. They also have lay-away, and you can pay installments (So the wife doesnt find out!).This is an old school gun shop and they will, haggle / barter / horse trade for the best price, if you want to go down that road. Go visit them and see what you think.

What everyone says is true, these are BY FAR the nicest people I have ever encountered at a pawn shop or gun store. My fiancée was looking for jewelry so we stopped in, and my 16 year old son and I gravitated toward the gun display. They were incredibly nice and helpful to my son, showing him everything and explaining concepts like the difference between single and double action, etc. I cant recommend them highly enough.

Integrity at its Best !!!Purchased a small used 380 handgun from Empire back in May/2018 and when I took it to the range it was jamming and not allowing bullets thru the ejection port.I took back the gun explained the issue and the owners son Shane was absolutely fabulous...he told me leave the gun here I will have it looked at and we will correct the problem.Long story short I went yesterday October 3rd to pick it up and guess what Shane tells me ?He saids he is going to exchange it and hands me a brand new 380.I was speechless ...nowadays where customer service is a dying trait Empire Gun and Pawn still believes in good old fashioned values.Needless to say I am a customer for life...wish them many blessings and continued success !!!

I have been dealing with these guys for years and you will absolutely not find a nicer more trustworthy set of knowledgeable guys around. If im buying a gun local, I go to these guys first every single time because I know what im getting. I also use them exclusively as my FFL and have never had an issue.

Used guns at new gun prices? Ammo prices more expensive then Walmart, for the same ammo. Staff not friendly at all. First and last time I will be in that store.

Staff is very rude. When I was walking out the owner asked his employee if I was giving him attitude instead of asking me if his employee was giving me attitude. No wonder I don’t buy from them. I won’t even go back to transfer another gun.

Once you get in the store all what was said may be true but very irregular hours, staff not knowing a whole lot about guns but certainly about gold chains, and bling stuff. Sometimes nobody around till after 12 noon on days supposed to be open so making appts or getting info from them is a chore and a half. Its a hit and miss show.............small and musty place. Because of the bad hours and ethics about when the store open or closes.................as some days it will just stay closed.................I cant give them much of a rating. Made a few gun deals there but nothing to write home about.

Went to see them when they were in Florida st before moving to road 54, REALLY NICE guys answer every question even if they knew you were not going to buy, amazing selection, very reasonable prices, been doing business with them ever since, absolutely no regrets .visits them frequently, good stuff every week, guns fly fast there

Get off work and rush there to make it at 05:30p only to be told, “we’ve put the guns up for today.” What type of policy is this? You close at 6 therefore full service should be given til 6. Due to my work schedule, I get a ONE day window on Saturday to purchase a gun there!!What if McDonalds said sorry we’ve stopped making burgers because we close in 30 min!!? There would be a lot of unhappy people.
