I was new to buying silver. I was just starting my collection and had no idea what to buy in my budget. A gentleman named Nate suggested 1 oz rounds. He directed me to their website so I could see the different designs. I chose three. The guardian angel, Thallasa and Trident. He did tell me it would take a few weeks to pick up because they were busy. I said it was fine because I was just starting a collection anyways. I received an e-mail a few weeks later that they were ready and I was able to pick them up from the showroom without an appointment. Since then I have purchased other items that I’m also very happy with. I have recommended them to all my friends and family. If I were able to post a photo of my coins I would because they are so pretty.Update: I was able to add a photo!

Dont sell your gold or silver here. It has been over 3 weeks and I have still not been paid from my first sale. I was originally told it would be sent in 10 business days. Calling and speaking to an employee at this location was of no help whatsoever. This was all for my first sale. I recently sold some silver and you can see my receipt below- was paid below spot for my silver. What? I thought there was a huge silver shortage out there? Here is the receipt as proof, spot silver was $26.22 on 3/15. Do not do business with these guys. Will not be going back.

I placed an order for (Pamp 1g Boxes). Not only did they take 2-3 days to acknowledge my wire payment, its been TWO WEEKS and they still havent shipped my product.I call customer service and a crabby guy comes on the phone and starts talking about in the Terms of Service there is one line that states orders might take up to 30 days.I was furious and he said that I could cancel my order, and I would owe 11 dollars in market loss.THEN, I GET AN EMAIL saying that I owe $200! For some reason there is a Restocking fee even though I didnt even receive the product.They say that they have infinite product because they take your order and then go and source the product.0/10. I WOULD NEVER BUY FROM THIS STORE EVER AGAIN. If you want to make this right Gainesville Coins, REFUND MY MONEY NOW. Its still been 3 days and I havent received any payment back. I will be giving an honest review on all platforms regarding your horrible service. They love to sell and will take your cash, but slow to buy and even slower to pay. Theyve turned me off even ever investing in coins in the future. Holding what I have left, but not buying anymore. The coins same packaged very securely in plastic holders. I also appreciate the discretion with regards to the outside box. Gainesville has competitive prices. Shipments always arrive in good condition. Gainesville is lacking when it comes to speed of shipping.. Im talking about anywhere between 3 and 6 weeks regardless if payment is made by check or credit..

The processing and shipping of my order was to be delayed about a month due to volume increase and the pandemic. Alright, I get that and I can wait. I received my 10 oz Mason Mint silver bars and they were in rough shape with all kinds of dings. Did not even bother with an exchange or calling them because it’d be another month to return it and another month to get new ones. They have competitive prices but shipping is way too much money when you’re ordering a lot of stuff. Sorry but if I’m spending $3k with your shop the shipping should be free... just like all the other big dealers do. If you don’t mind waiting 2 months for your order to arrive in bad condition, then by all means go ahead!

Went to buy one ASE, paying cash. The man would not sell me the ASE (American Silver Eagle) without taking all the info off my drivers license. He then lied and said it was a law in Florida to collect information off your drivers license! I told him nobody does that when buying one coin for $30. Extremely rude to women, I would never trust these people. Liars. Go down the street to Legacy Coins. I went down there afterward and purchased my ASE.

I ordered $100 face value of 90% silver coins on July 22nd. I received the coins today, August 15th. All dimes.....It would of been nice to have variety; 90% are Roosevelt’s, the rest are Merck’s and 3 barbers. Probably 25+ of the Merck’s are culls.

Upon seeing several billboards for this business, I decided to try it out. I got lost in the cookie-cutter buildings but did eventually find the place. There’s a “no firearms” sign on the door but yet there’s an armed deputy that is hired as security for the business.I was greeted upon entrance by both the deputy and the man behind the counter and both were polite. The coins in the case looked great but there was only a small selection. The man informed me that the shop is only a small part of his business and most of his business comes from online sales. He said he took cash only in the shop. The business model has people buying coins online for store pickup. Online of course is plastic only so I’m unsure why it’s a cash business once you’re in the store... doesn’t sit well with me.I will likely not return simply based on the business model. There’s too much competition online for me to have a need for this type of business. I’m not exactly sure why there’s so many billboards advertising the store if the owner wants you to buy online.

What’s going on with Gainesville Coins? I have spent over 25,000 with them over the years and never had a problem, but now I have a problem. I purchased some coins around April 2 and was informed that these coins would not ship until May 15th. I checked shipping on the 18th, nothing there. I checked again at a later date, not shipped yet. I called on the 27 of May and talked to a lady there, she checked with shipping and came back to the phone and said she would call me back that day. I’m writing this on May 31 2020 and have not heard back from her. There is something wrong with this, it is not the Gainesville Coin I knew from years back. What ever is wrong they need to get it corrected before they loose all their business. At this time I can not give them 1 star.

I put in an order two months ago. When I purchased, they did advise me it would take twenty days to process it but not 60 days. I also ordered from apmex and sd bullion and I received those products within two weeks. I would stay away from Gainesville Coins

I would give them zero if I could. Horrible business model. 3 week processing time on orders... do they have to mine the items first. As others have stated. Calling is a waste of time. Went with CC company for refund to avoid bogus restocking fee on something I did not get after basically a month of waiting and them not answering phones. Avoid... there are many better places to go and other local shops to visit. Maybe they should be like their name and just move to Gainesville.

Well my wife and I ordered several one ounce silver bars that there web site stated were In Stock and ready to ship.At about two weeks after they were supposed to be shipped we called and asked what the problem was. There employee said they were getting them out in a day or two.You guessed it, a week after that we called again and there employee said they were backordered and they tried to switch with something we did not want.At the end of the day we never were able to get a superior product that we ordered and had to settle for a far lesser coin and by then the market had went way up so we lost big because of there lies. Yes lies, they lied on there web site and on the phone many times. The employees were very unprofessional and unknowledgeable about there products.Go elsewhere if you would like a superior product and any semblance of good service.

I provided feedback to another web-based service regarding Gainesville Coins also.Im a small time buyer about 100-150 if possible every other payday-if possible. You know the reality of life and making ends meet? So anyway Gainesville has the best value for me,and the selection is larger and more diverse than the other on-line coin/bullion dealers. They treat me like a big-time buyer even though Im a small time guy. Their customer service is awesome and Brett is awesome. I was just checking on the availability of some Morgans, but the effort to explain why I could only buy 4 at a time ( I could afford 5 that time),made perfect sense-because Brett took the time to explain. Im not the sharpest tool in the shed, but even the brightest person when someone takes time to explain things it is always better for both parties. I do not want to ramble on-so.Gainesville is AWESOME-HONEST-and I recommend them-big time.

I shop at Gainesville all the time. I like everyone I’ve dealt with there. They’re friendly knowledgeable and efficient. They usually have what I want in stock and when they don’t it only takes a few days to pick it up. If you’re in the area walking in to buy is the way to go.

They need a no star option for this situation. I have purchased silver from Gainesville coin and sold silver to them a few times. Never have I had to wait 7-10 business days for my pay check after I give them my silver. So I take the chance because I have never had a bad experience with them. This place must be in financial trouble because they make me wait the complete 10 business days to call and see if my check is ready for pick up. It’s about 25 miles from my home. I call the accounting department on the 10th business day and they tell me my check is finally ready for pick up. I drive out there to pick it up for them to tell me that they’re sorry but they mailed it. Absolutely unprofessional liars. Don’t trust this place with your silver or gold if they’re not willing to give you your money at the sale.

I placed my order one week before I placed orders with Provident Metals, Bullion exchange, SD bullion, and Apmex. I recieved those orders. The claim they ship 10 days after the check clears. Its now more than 15 business days. They state they may ship it in the middle of next week. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THEM.I think they are still mining the silver.

I bought $1.000 FV Roosevelt dimes from them several years ago, and had no problem. Im looking to purchase another $1000 FV Franklin halves, and 5 ozs of gold coins. Ive been reading reviews, and complaints on Gainesville, and I dont like what Ive read. Im buying from JM instead.

I made an online purchase of two Korean Tiger 1 oz gold coins that were in stock. A check was sent, GC notifies me they received the check and advises its going to take 10 business days to clear it. At that point Im suspect since checks usually clear in 3 business days to clear a check. Red flag. After a week I get a call from GC to tell me the coins that were supposed to have been in stock are now on backorder and it will be 2 weeks before they get them. Another red flag. Then Im told if I would like they would sent two American Eagles instead. At this point Im fed up with the nonsense and waiting so I tell the sales rep Ill take the AEs and ask what dates they have available to which he replies 2020s and 2017s. I request the 2020s and his says no problem and well ship them on Friday. Late Friday I get a tracking number for a USPS package. Monday the package arrives but when I open it instead of the 2020s I asked for there are two 2017s. I understand stuff happens but between the coins not being in stock, to the length delay in clear my check and not sending the dates I was promised I have to remove Gainsville Coins from my coin buying options. Ive been in business for 40 years. Every company has mishaps now and then. The test of a company is how they take care of the customer when a mishap occurs. Gainsville did not handle this mishap very well.

My first order with GC. They had some unique silver rounds that arrived as advertised and were well packaged. Only complaint would be the 10 day wait for the check to clear. When they said 10 days, thats exactly how long it takes. The big boys like JM & SD clear in two or three days.

I was told so many different things I dont know where to begin its just after a half a month and still havent shipped. Very displeased with the customer service and their operation. Also never had one reply to any customer service emails and after promise callbacks never received anything.if you order from this company your left to be on your own with no info and no shipping.

They cancelled my order without telling me and when I called to ask how my order was doing (since I didnt hear anything from them in 2 weeks), they told me it was cancelled. The value of what I had ordered went up drastically since I had placed the order, so I asked if I could try to reorder with that same price, or at least get free shipping. There was no way this was happening. Gainesville lacks with ethics and I will not be ordering again.

10 business days. That is the standard waiting time before an order is shipped. Even if the website says different, you will have to wait. If you dont believe me, call Miranda, who is their only customer service rep. They do not answer customer service emails. If you call after hours, you cant leave a message because the voicemail is full. If you look at the reviews here, you will see that this company is getting slower and slower on shipping. If youre going to do business with them, I would advise picking up in person or calling over the phone to determine real wait/processing times.To be fair, the product arrived as described and was well-packaged.

Atrociously slow shipping times. I placed order #431896 on 11/7/2019, as of today 11/27/2019 the order has yet to arrive. Phoned Gainsville coins today 11/27 and was told that the order (only four coins) has not shipped yet. Ive ordered many coins in my life and have never had such issues. In fact, whenever I see a sale I immediately go to the Gainesville Coins website and these supposed great sale prices have never been better than Gainesvilles prices. Shipping is not super fast, but if youre looking for the best value this is the place to go.

They have great prices and a great selection on silver. But for $12+ shipping, I dont expect to wait a week+ for you to throw my coins/bars in an envelope and slap a stamp on it. The shipping is where Gainesville coins loses my business. It is slower than a hurd of turtles stampeding through peanut butter...

Becareful before you buy anything from these . It has been 3 weeks I transferred them 20k and since then I have Not received my gold bars nor a right answer from them. I mean you buy something for 5 bucks from china and you get it less then a week and you get a lot of sense of responsibility from the seller but #gainesvillecoins are so irresponsible that they even do not call back and Everytime I call them to ask about my order they say that they will ship it in the next few days and 3 weeks passed and again they told me they will ship it tomorrow maybe. They are very rude and have no sense of customer relationship and something is just wrong.

We placed a significant order online with Gainesville and waited the estimated 5-7 business days for our order to be processed with zero further communication from Gainesville. Three telephone calls, on 3 sequential days after the shipping time frame lapsed, led to their unhelpful and evasive personnel simply giving us the information that an item is missing from the order and it is in process 14 days after they took our money. How can they advertise and accept payment for items they dont have to sell? We are now engaged in the process of wire fraud investigation through law enforcement. We have nothing but a significant financial loss to show for our dealings with Gainesville coins. I recommend that people actually read their Better Business Review (wish I had before ordering) as it indicates that dozens of complaints have been filed for a variety of reasons.

Long shipment times. I called to inquire and was treated as though I am unreasonable in expecting my product to have shipped. It has been 16 days since my check cleared at my bank and it still hasnt shipped. Very frustrating as it shouldnt take a month to process just because you use a check instead of credit card.
