I was a first time customer at Legacy Coins & Curiosities, and will be doing business with them in the future, even after I move an hour away next month. I must have called around to 10 different local coin shops, pawn shops, and jewelers when trying to sell some of my American silver eagles and misc. silver bars and rounds. I was regularly being offered 90-95% of current spot price, even for the eagles, which carry a premium. Art answered the phone and quoted me a great price that is reasonable to make both parties happy. I brought the silver in, and it was a no nonsense transaction. I walked out with a check after probably 15 minutes. This shop clearly knows that taking good care of their customers is the best way to get long-term customers.

This guy/shop is hands down the most honest and fair with his dealings, that I have ever met. After reading the ratings of Tampa area dealers I chose to go to Legacy to sell my coins not only because of their hi ratings but because they where closest to my location and I was Not disappointed. The gentleman at the counter was friendly, knowledgeable and strait forward, no BS. My father is a big coin collector and has sent my 13 year old many coins. She doesn’t share his interest and to her they have become clutter. I brought her collection in to see if we could trade her coins for cash to put in her savings account. What once collected dust and had no value to her turned into $80 in her savings. I highly recommend Art and John at Legacy Coins & Collectibles for many reasons. I had tried other coin shops which had offered much lower prices and did not seem as customer focused. As soon as I entered the store for the first time and met John, his approach immediately made me feel welcome as he demonstrated friendliness, respectfulness, positivity and professionalism and offered fair and honest pricing for the few coins I brought of a fairly large coin collection.This led to a second visit to evaluate and sell the collection. John continued his excellent approach which also included honesty, integrity, extremely knowledgeable (without any air of arrogance) and very customer focused and personal attention and offered an extremely honest and fair price for the entire collection. This led to meeting Art for a baseball card collection. Art has the same approach as John, with the same excellent qualities demonstrated by John, and also really knows his stuff. He offered a very fair price for the card collection and John did the same for several watches including an older Rolex. They even kindly visited my home (and offered to do so) because the card collection was a challenge to bring to the store due to the fairly large number of sets and cards.Thanks to Art and John for making these transactions some of the best I have ever experienced.

Art and John were very patient with me & showed me where I could find how much my property was worth. Only deal with Art in this store and you will get a fair deal. Art had to go home one day and I had to deal with his 37 year old punk helper and that guy was over charging me for the coins I wanted to purchase.

Visited their shop 3 times since the Fall of 2013 and purchased slabbed Morgans, Buffalo Nickels, and Indian Cents. The two fellows Ive worked with are patient, friendly, professional, honest, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I have also watched them work with other clients in the store and observed these same positive traits.Although I am a fairly advanced collector, I have asked a lot of questions and learned a lot of new stuff from them around evaluating condition/grading. Legacys pricing is in line with ebay except you get to actually see the coin you are buying, so despite having a brick and mortar location you probably wont lose out price-wise.During my 3 visits I did not observe any customers in the shop who were children, so I cant comment first hand about how well the guys at Legacy handle kids. I do wish they posted more of their better inventory online so I could see items I may want to buy as a motivator to visit. Likewise, I wish they supported grading submissions for NGC and PCGS but I respect their reasons for not offering those services.Summary: Honest, relaxed, friendly, patient, knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
