I was rear ended, Insurance Co.referred me to Gerber glass for my repairs . Rene the secretary was very professional, just picked up my vehicle, repairs have been completed, however I hear a rattle in the rear. I Placed a call to them this morning however they are closed on weekends. But Im not worried. They have been responsive and I know the rattling with be looked at and fixed. I will refer them to others when it comes to any repairs. Thank you
I went to Gerber the other day to get a quote for repairs to my car. I have some damage to my passenger side fender and some scrapes on my front bumper. I explained that I am not interested in replacing the bumper unless absolutely necessary. The lady I spoke with typed me up an estimate that came out to about to $2400 and explained this is just a starting point and it could be worse once they look at my car. When I got home I looked over the estimate and was quoted for a new headlight, new door handle, and a new side mirror, none of which had any damages at all. I was also quoted for a new bumper which I did not believe was necessary. Today I got a new estimate from another auto repair shop for only $850 in which they informed me that there is no reason for my bumper, door handle, headlight, or side mirror to be replaced. I feel like I was intentionally deceived and quoted at a much higher cost than necessary. I will be taking my business elsewhere. If you decide to get an estimate from this business I highly recommend getting a second opinion. Doing so has likely saved me thousands!

Tremendous experience with Gerber Wesley Chapel. People in the office were friendly and helpful. Communication on the claim between Gerber and my insurance company (USAA) was extremely smooth and Gerbers estimate was low price of three shops I got estimates from. During the repair Gerber either called me or sent a text every day to update me on repair progress. And finished job looks terrific. Highly recommend them.

I had an amazing experience with Gerber Collision & Glass. I was in an auto accident where I got hit, and the other drivers insurance is contracted w/ this facility to have warranty for repair. They sent over all of my information and Gerber called me within a day to set up an appointment. They were able to work with my schedule, and got me in as soon as it worked for both of us and the claims adjuster for the insurance company. The lady at the Front Desk was very helpful, and my claims adjuster, Shelly was AMAZING!!!!! I got text messages 2x a week w/ status updates as well as phone calls & knew the status of my repairs as they were happening. When my car was complete, I picked it up and Shelly even showed me the photos of the progress during the repairs. I was amazed. She was very helpful, and even taught me a little bit about the parts of my car & what they were and do. I was so impressed! I would def recommend them to all of my friends & family!
My experience here was great. After being rear ended at a stop light, the other drivers insurance company sent me here. They were prompt and professionally courteous at the first appointment. After seeing the damage inside my bumper they bent over backwards to make things right. The car looks great, repairs were done in a timely manner, I feel safer having had the repair and they couldnt have been a more professional or nice group of people.
I wish I could give them zero stars! Ive never written a bad review on anything in my life but this was the worst business I have ever dealt with. Its been 3 months and I still dont have my car back. Ive never received an update from them Ive always had to call them to find out whats going on with my car and every week its something different. Theyre either incompetent or simply dont care. I had to go out and physically find a core (radiator) support for my car because they couldnt and kept telling me they have no idea when the part is coming in. Guess what, I found the part in one day and at a place they told me they checked! I got if for them two weeks ago and today they told me they cant find another part and they might not get it until July. July?! Seriously?! Dont worry Gerber Ill do your job and find the part...again! Ill bring my tools with me when I come back to install the part myself. Wouldnt want you to to actually have to do what youre paid to do.P.S. If anybody is curious and would like to email the area manager or President of Gerber to tell him what an outstanding job this facility is doing I have the contact.
They did a good job, but very pricey for the damage. Ended up charging the insurance company another $1700 for supposed more underneath damage, but I doubt anything else was actually done.I was contacted by my contact individual and attempted to strong arm me into changing my review, which I informed him it was MY review, not his, and I believe was fair and accurate. Do yourself a favor and RUN from this place.I contacted my body shop at home in Ohio, gave him the same insurance estimate and was told it would have been $2400, and absolutely not over $3000. I have reconsidered my stars down to 2.
Some Rude dudes there, the ladies where polite though. I asked a simple question nicely and was given a sh#$% response by the cost estimator. Ill go elsewhere.

I had my husband call on the phone (hes white) for an price to repair my front bumper the own of the shop told him that he would replace and paint the front bumper for 400.00. He told him to bring the call in. I took the car in myself and he told me that the price for a new bumper and paint job was doing to be 1500.00 to 2000.00. Clearly he lied to my husband and I via phone. He never even stepped outside to actually look at my car he just throw high numbers at me.

I usually check reviews before going to a business these days but Gerber is just up the street from me and we have used Gerber at a diffrent location and had good work done.I went in this am to get an estimate. I have already received my check from the insurance company from a previous quote. This shop was alot closer and I figured it would be convienent.Wow was I wrong, I got rude from the moment I walked in the door. Abrupt receptionist and a gentleman just trying to help but just made the experience worse. I wanted an estimate, I already have a check. However the moment I said the word Travelers they wanted a claim number and the ability to haggle with the insurance company. Again I asked them to treat it as a cash transaction so I could compare with the other shop. Again they were interested in the insurance company info. I said one more time to treat as a cash transaction and forget the insurance company as I already had the payout.Not helpful, very abrupt and not listening. As someone who builds, reconciles and assists businesses in restructuring I am shocked this place is still operating.They really do need a customer service revamp, glad I walked out instead of continuing further. I am glad some had a 5 star experience but unfortunatly their overall 3 rating is probably generous.Lastly, to the business do not bother with some canned response as it will not change my first impression which was horrible. Hope the meeting went well I was going to have to wait for if I had stayed for an estimate.Poor Business, customers are not a priority. Clear from sour receptionist at the start.

This place has a severe problem with communication. We had to physically walk in to talk to Darrell in order to get an update two weeks ago. Only have gotten one update since from Larry, who didnt know what was going on with my car. He said I could have delivery later that week. I called on Friday to ask if my car was ready and Darrell was quick to say Larry didnt know what he was talking about and my car was still another week or more from being done. As of this week, we still have no updates and we cant get ahold of anyone.Weve filed a complaint with our insurance company for their records. Even our insurance company doesnt have the most up to date information from Gerber. Gerber had to add two supplements to our estimate and didnt even notify our insurance company.We are now at a loss as to what to do.I cant review them on their work just yet, but will update once I have my car back.
My car hit an armadillo and the bottom cover came out from one side. I took it to Wesley chapel Nissan and they said entire front hood had to be replaced for that! I then took car to Gerber Collision center for second opinion. There were no waiting and staff was nice. Mr Anton looked at my car, took it to the workshop and had the bottom put back in 20 mins and charged me NOTHING for that!It was a pleasant surprise!In fact, I liked it so much, Ill be getting my another car fixed there soon.
THIS PLACE DESERVES ZERO STAR! like I wish there was a negative 10 star rating because that what I would give them. I can in an HOUR before they closed and was met by the rudest & horrendous individual. I only came here because my company owns my car and they are the contracted auto and body shop and even though my company sent me a confirmation email confirming that they had reached and let them know ahead of time that I would be dropping my car off for an estimate and repairs from and accident. She rudely told me she didn’t know why they told me that because she had to go ... btw they didn’t close for another hour... then she was like well i don’t have room for the car blah blah blah blah blah .... when o simply said it doesn’t matter how long you take to get to it my company is making me come here... trust me if i could go somewhere else I would. Avoid these miserable people at all cost !
I went here because my brother had decent body work done on his vehicle prior to me having to bring my vehicle in. I went very far out of my way to go to this location too so that really added to my aggravation when they failed to deliver the vehicle completed on time. They managed to lose a part to my drivers door when that wasnt even the door they were replacing. The lining they cut too short and try to play it off as normal when I brought it up. I had to push them to redo it. Then they have the nerve to ask for a good review before they even finish fixing what they messed up. They apparently couldnt repair my existing door and switched it out for a used door. The door is so worn looking compared to my original door. The least they could have done is give me back my less worn parts from my original door. So all the parts that are suppose to be black plastic are sun damaged and do not match my other doors. Now, a couple years later, I have to deal with that door handle breaking from normal use while Im mid move! Why couldnt they just install my original parts back on my door? Or just give me them because it was MY DOOR! I just had a dent in the door from my stupid brother backing into my parked car. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU ENJOY LONG TERM ISSUES!
It is sad to read that people had bad experiences with this Gerber. I brought my car in after having a collision with a deer and my bumper holding on with duct tape. I am also not from the area so it was a place given to me by my insurance. They were really busy for the next few weeks but could tell I didnt feel comfortable driving my car so they had it towed to another location so it could be worked on quicker. They were extremely polite and answered all my nagging questions. I highly recommend this place!!
Lady at front desk is rude. They refused to do the work I asked for unless they can do the whole car. I would not recommend this place at all.
Went to Gerber on Farmers recommendation wasnt impressed. They got it some what right after the second time. I couldnt believe that they would try to let my truck go out the way it looked the first time. No problems with the paint only the body work.
My car was rear-ended and Gerber Collision dealt with the insurance company and got my car back to like new condition.
A one star here is gracious. Referred here by insurance company and folks, you have the choice NOT to go here. Avoid at all means. Started out with constant disagreements from the so - called adjuster there or estimator, whatever you call him. A 3 day job turned into 2 weeks not due to parts or anything else. Was due to employee problems. When I finally got the vehicle back, the inner fender lining was missing, items not bolted down like the emissions canister and horn left hanging in the open space created by the missing liner. Paint runs, door hinge not painted ( 2 ) and the excuse was from the other techs...........we had to use so - and - so and he is about as bad as it gets............sorry ! Meanwhile, the estimator or front end gassbag was all up in a tither because I went to the back and tried to find the missing liner and bolts and whatever else was not put on. If you have maybe a bumper that needs respray WITHOUT body work, then OK................maybe............but do not use for anything bigger than that. Seriously. If your insurance company insists on these jokers, try another store like the Brandon store but I imagine they are probably the same there (?) Oh yeah, they come on with we have rentals here, ect but any body shop now has Enterprise or someone OR Enterprise can get there within a few minutes. So dont fall for the hype of their warranty either. Pure crap. Useless. Best bet is to avoid and like I said above, if its a bumper or mirror then maybe..............other things? Run. Run to a real shop.

Horrible customer service. I was calling to get info for a friend and I was yelled at the moment this guy picks up the phone. He very rudely demanded to know what I wanted and I asked my question and with a lot of frustration he told me that I need to stop asking that question and so I just backed out of the conversation as soon as possible.
WORST body shop Ive ever been to . My insurance company sent me here. They called me on Friday told me my car was perfect and to come get it, I picked it up on Saturday ... My bumper is falling off, my headlight is burnt out, the side mirror they replaced is shaking and they didnt get a huge dent out . They are pieces of crap and they clearly dont have any pride in their work. Never go here

This is the most disorganized, unprofessional car repair business I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. You would think a national chain would have it together.They called me and had me come in for appointments, and then when Id get there they would have no idea why I was there. They texted text me that my car was done, then I learned my car was not done. You will get phone call after phone call to survey you about your experience, but when I asked them to call me back to answer a question, they would not call me back. They told me I could pick my car up on Saturday, and I got there and was angrily told by a staff member that they dont do pickups on Saturday. They left my car dirty on the inside, and did not fix everything. Four times I was told to come in, when there was no reason for me to come in. Poor service, poor work quality.Do not take your car here. Look at the other reviews, you will see a theme. I wish I had read the other reviews and listened to them. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Steve Caracappa has horrible customer service skills. I was sent there by my insurance company after being rear-ended. The female receptionist was polite and friendly. After looking at the outside of my vehicle, Steve explained that I would need to go to a mechanic (at a different location) for the issue I was having underneath the car. He then proceeded to tell me they handled collision and glass repairs while he was gracious enough to point to Gerbers company sign. If you are a female and looking for a place that has an employee that is rude, gives you misinformation, makes false accusations on your actions and tells you that you were wrong because you werent paying attention then ask for Steve Caracappa. He wont let you down!

Was referred to Gerber by Liberty Mutual. When we made the appointment with our rep from LM it was scheduled for a Saturday at 10am. We arrived at 9:40 and was greeted by at first what I would call an OK receptionist. She asked if we were at the wrong location because they did not have us in the system . I told her no, we where at the location the LM Rep scheduled us (this was just for an estimate). She did say it was not a big deal and they would accommodate us, had us fill out a form and asked us to have a seat as the woman who was there was writing up an estimate for a customer who was sitting there. We then sat there for 20 minutes and listened to the woman who was going to do our estimate and another male employees conversation about a life insurance policy and all of the details surrounding it and the claims he had made. At this point I asked the receptionist what the procedure was involving an estimate (this was our first time ever having to bring a vehicle to a body shop). She stated again the person who would be doing our estimate is working on the other customers estimate. I stated all I hear is the conversation between the two employees in the back. She got up and went into the back where they were and obviously stated something because the conversation stopped. During that time I asked the other customer how long he had been there and he stated for almost an hour, also for an estimate. Finally at 10:20 the woman emerged from her office, handed the other customer his estimate and introduced herself to us (cant remember her name since I was annoyed by this time). We walked outside to show her the vehicle (the damage is on the hood and fender) and she stated she did not handle LM claims she only handles State Farm claims but would still start it for us and hand it off to Lester who would be in on Monday and I could call him then and find out what the estimate is and how long it would take to repair our vehicle. Shouldnt he be calling me? Regardless, my husband informed her he did not want any bondo or plastic repairs that he wanted the fender and hood replaced since they were both dented in creases (he custom ordered this car from Dodge and is very particular (as most men are) about his vehicle). She stated she could probably get the fender replaced but not the hood. As she looked at the hood my husband pointed out the crack in the metal in the crease of the hood and her response was it is only a little crack!!! Seriously? I am sure she would not accept that comment if she was in a plastic surgeons office in need of facial repairs after an accident and he stated to her its only a little crack in your face. After this she said we didnt have an appointment anyway, this is where we cut her off and said we will not do business with them and would NEVER refer them to anyone.I have never written review on any company but felt obligated to share our experience with all.

In my opinion Gerber has indifferent customer service. If that wasn’t bad enough, they tried to pass off a used, wrong headlight part on my car that they repaired. The headlight malfunctioned and they implied that I should have caught that because of the warning light only comes on at night, and therefore not their fault for not testing the light nor for installing the wrong used part.You decide if you want to use them.
