Beautiful place! Prices are pretty high but the selection was amazing!

Very disappointed after purchasing a poinsettia. Bought the plant approximately 1.5 week ago, paid $16 and the plant is out of shape already before Xmas, horrible! Noticed falling leaves very early. The plant was most likely exposed to cold temperature and overwatered, which is not recommended for this type of flower. I also overpaid- found bigger ones in Market Street for half the price. I will not return there!

Bought a product here that was half empty and sealed, took it back to exchange it for a full one and low and behold they were all half empty and sealed! So why not sell them half price for the half the product lol. Anyway, proceeded to ask the cashier if they knew that they were all like that and she said I don’t know I don’t work for this company (as she shook the bottle) and said I work for little red. Bad attitude little girl! working in this nursery she is clearly miserable. Poor little critter walks around the store with a frown on her face along with the other employees! Do not recommend this nursery!!!!!

You had better be sure of what kind of plants you want before buying here. No returns after 24hrs. NO Exceptions!!! Have been a long time customer here for a long time and spent $$$$ s but after todays visit no more for me. Forget customer service.

Outstanding nursery with beautiful and healthy plants! I have a selection of pepper plants I purchased from them this year and theyre all growing very strong! Theres also a sweet cat that stays there and has it made!

Awesome customer service, answered a gazillion questions about plants and their care. Great selection of houseplants as well as outdoor plants and decor. I live 2 hours away and drive there several times a year to buy plants. Always worth the drive!

Little Red Riding Hood Nursery did an amazing hands on presentation for my Girl Scout troop. The staff is very knowledgeable. The girls made a ladybug habitat. The girls were able to identify plants that were good to help bees, butterflies, ladybugs.

I am currently planning a garden project for my home for the first time and was feeling overwhelmed during the process. I contacted several nurseries for help and advice on the plants I was thinking about using and Little Red Nursery responded quickly and professionally and has been very helpful to me. They assured me everything on my list was available or could be ordered and gave me some recommendations. The only negative I can say about this business is that I have found the plant prices to be the highest of all the nurseries I’ve contacted. Maybe the plants are better cared for and healthier? I just don’t know. I havent had the chance to visit the location yet either so I cant comment on the facilities or the quality of the product, but I will update this review in the future once I do.

I’m new to Lubbock and was looking to shop at a local nursery so when I first walked in to little red riding hood I was extremely excited. However, after my experience there I can say with certainty that I will never be shopping here again. I wasn’t greeted as I walked in, I wasn’t asked if I needed help, nothing was said to me as I completed my transaction, nor was I thanked as I left with my purchase. The lady behind the counter did not acknowledge me once as I payed for my plant. She ignored me and continued talking to someone else. I used to work in a nursery and this is unacceptable customer service. Besides the heinous customer service, the plants here are extremely overpriced. As I mentioned I worked in a nursery so I know they’re jacking up their prices at least 3-4 times over. I’m ok with paying this much for local quality service but this is absolutely not what I got from this place.

Holy wow. Their selection of houseplants and outdoor plants is good but their prices are insane. I felt silly even being in there. I’ve never seen sick a small and unrooted cactus or succulent that expensive in my life. Won’t return.

I had the rudiest experience this evening at Little Red Riding Hood Nursery this evening. I was getting kicked out at 3 minutes till 6PM. As a small business here in Lubbock, you would think that they would challenge all their employees to be kind to others especially during a time when our country is being riveted with a tragic illness that affects everyone in some way or another. I had a few questions that would not only taken 5 minutes. I will never give them my business.

Great selection of plants, pots, and pretty much all things related to gardening. Pretty helpful employees. They even had some rare corkscrew bonsai trees and some pretty uncommon carnivorous plants.

Wine after Work! Excellent venue, a bit cold and rainy but they had heaters and fire pits set up and it was very cozy. Would go again if the wine and food foundation decides to have Wine after Work there again.

Never have I had an issue with the staff. In fact, Im pleasantly greeted every time I enter the store given that the employees are not busy. Even if I leave empty handed Im still just as satisfied having been in such a pleasant store, with staff willing to assist (all you have to do is ask nicely), and the overall tranquility of the shop.

Was never asked if I needed helped. Whom I believe is the owner, not 100%, is absolutely stand offish and cold and shows disinterest in having conversation. Would pass by me multiple times without asking if I needed help. I was so excited to go to a nursery only to be met with coldness. I know that there was one other employee that was kind. A guy in outdoor area with dark hair I saw watering was very helpful when i had questions and nice. But I imagine that a nursery like this cant profit in a town where local customer service is typically at a very high standard. Prices are also often more than double what you will pay anywhere else. I bought a good sized pilea peperomiodes for $7.98 at Home Depot and here it was $17 for a small one, and smaller than the one from home depot. Even online with shipping you could get amazing plants at a cheaper cost. This place needs to change if it wants customers to come back. I do believe prices should be a bit higher because its local but theirs is a bit ridiculous. Even overheard discussed overpricing with customers that were there. Honestly I would love for a local nursery like this to thrive. But this one just is not it right now. I hope it can change and do better with the customer service and pricing.One thing is, you can find kind plant people there shopping who love plants and will talk with you about plants. I did. So thats nice. But I dont believe that alone can suffice.This is only criticism. My experience. Nothing more or less.

I just left Little Red Riding Hood Nursery, and we had the best experience! I called to see if they had Red Knockout roses, I needed 40. They were prompt in calling back and went to their other location to acquire the needed plants. I also had children with me ages, 13,12 and 9 the employees and owner were extremely pleasant to my children and myself. I paid a little more per plant to shop here, but to me it is worth the service and help. Thank you Little Red for all your years of service!

I love the selection of seasonal color and perennials at the store. Anna also does landscaping. They installed artificial turf in our yard and it looks great.

Every time I come here its a fun experience; the service is friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is always pleasant. The prices are a little high, but nothing more than what I expect going to a nursary vs a home improvement store. Overall 10/10 would recomend, even if its just to poke around.

I’ve bought lots of plants from here over the years. They’re prices are a little higher than everyone else. This never bothered me because I would rather support local businesses. About a month ago, I purchased a string of figs/tears from here. Today I noticed it was infested with mealy bugs and is the only plant in my house that had any mealy bugs. I took the plant in hoping they would exchange it for a healthy one or give a refund. I was told they don’t guarantee the health of their plants because they would go broke and there’s no way of knowing whether it was their fault or not. As much as I have enjoyed coming here, I just can’t continue to support a business that sells sick plants and refuses to make it right.

Went to a hot air balloon event on lake and was very impressed! Many camping sites, homes, even a mayor & fire dept. A lovely oasis

Its like going to Home Depot, When you find someone who knows what they are doing its a good trip there.

I thought people were exaggerating on how rude they are, but no they aren’t. Plus they don’t wear masks, so they don’t care about public health. Move on to the next nursery.

They are expensive, but you can always count on the quality of their plants as well as the expertise of some of the employees. When it needs to be the best, this is where I go.

I called to see if they had CALLA lilies and was told they were gettong them on 4-29. I went in on 4-30 and no one knew anything, but said they would check . After waiting 10 minutes I located the employee who was supposed to check and she spoke to another person who said they were at Mary lee gardens. I called and they said yes they had cannas. I related the story again and he told me No one there knew about the CALLA lilies. I am so glad I did mot drive all the way out. Poor customer service. Will not be spendinf 500.00 plus at either place as I did last spring.

I will never ever go to this place again. First lets preface this with some good... they have excellent choice of flowers and other plants... This however is not about them.My family consists of me and my husband, our 9yo daughter and the hero of the tale my 4yo son. My son had knocked over a pot and it broke. Of course he didnt knock over a small one, he got one that he could have fit in. The owner told us that we would have to pay for it. Anyone have little kids? Yall remember how quck they disappear. Especailly when you are trying to show the 9yo something. Accident. He wanted to see what was in the pot. Yes he did it.. Yes that was a lapse in my concentration, but he was not being a terror.If we are responsble for breakage make sure to tell your customers that. I would not have taken my 4yo in there for this exact reason.900 stars for the selection, -899 for the way I was treated as a customer. Dont and I mean DONT take your small kids to this shop.

Prices are ridiculous. Way over priced. You can find the same plant elsewhere for sometimes more than half of what you will pay here...and from the same grower.

Well glass half empty. Pricey. Disturbing lack of products that are locally sourced. But I get it. Just didnt have anything I actually wanted.
