They recently installed a Pioneer radio, speakers, and backup camera in my wifes 2009 Ford Edge. They worked hard to finish the vehicle earlier than what we were originally told. They did a fantastic job and we highly recommend them.

Wanted a top-notch professional install. I turned to Google, of course, searched Highest rated. These guys have less reviews then Number 1, but more of them were higher ratings. So I came up from Midland with the family in another errand. Made an excuse to come talk to them. So, after seeing all the awards and hearing the guys that work there. You can tell youre in good hands. Trucks there getting some work done. Lets see how this goes.Its been a few weeks since the install and Im 100% satisfied with the results! Highly recommend.

Mike was kind and very helpful even was able to get me in same day since he had a cancelation. The other guy that works there is also very friendly. *Update my cd player cut off while I was driving home from work this morning. I called them and I was told that it is possibly not their problem but he has to talk to the technicians to be sure and asked me to call back in 10 minutes. So I will update again after I call back.

We went to a few places before we ended up here, and I am 100% grateful we did. As soon as we walked in the door I felt the willingness to help. Mike gave us information on the variety of the radios and patiently answered all of our questions. The service was done on time the day of the appointment. When my husband went to pick up the truck, he was offered assistance in learning his new device despite the language barrier. We are very pleased with the service received and will definitely go back soon.

The owner was very nice and was able to squeeze me in on the same day that I visited the store. But the installer did not install the head unit correctly which resulted in my dash bulging out. They had to pull the vehicle back into the shop, after I had left it with them for 3 hours. But they did resolve the issue and the unit was eventually installed correctly. I would use them again.

I went to Custom Sound Works to see what options were available regarding the installation of a rear camera/digital radio for my Ford truck. The professionalism and expertise that Michael and his crew exhibited was even more than I had hoped for.I never felt that they were trying to sell me something. They were sincere and honest in their perspective regarding the different types of equipment and installation options. The technical features of the equipment (from bluetooth, to apps, to navigation, and everything in between) can be somewhat intimidating. However, they were able to explain the ins and outs of it all... and in language that made sense!I paid a fair price, and the installation and time they spent reviewing how to use the radio, camera, etc. was exceptional. I simply couldnt have been treated better.As a professional who works daily with the public, I especially appreciate individuals or businesses who understand taking the time to get it right...the first time! I absolutely love the experience I have at Custom Sound Works, and the employees are definitely the best at what they do in the state (if not the country). My family has been doing business with the owner for about 9 years now and I can honestly say that after being all around Texas that Custom Sound Works is the best deal youll find anywhere near Lubbock and the surrounding areas. As far as customer service goes, I cant say anything but great things about all of the fine folks that do their job.You can go in for a new radio or sound system and come out making a bunch of new friends. The best thing about Custom Sound Works is that the owner is a family man, and knows how to keep you (and your kids or other family) happy for years to come when you make a purchase.

This is one of the best sound shops Ive ever been to. Mike and staff were very helpful in selecting the system I wanted and didnt try any sleazy sales tricks to get me to move up packages. The 2 DD 10s I got are simply perfect. Ive had systems before and this blows them out of the water several times over. The installation was smooth, and the box they built is solid and looks fantastic. I will be going back soon for more upgrades just out of the fact that this first time went so well. I was recommended here by a friend and I will be certain to do the same.

We had an upgraded sound system installed in our new car. We are in our 60s and just wanted to hear a good sound through our system without the super loud and distorted systems the younger crowd enjoys.Mike was very professional and honest in his explanation of products and found exactly what we wanted, at the price range we were looking at. There were no high pressure sales tactics.Installation was very well done with no problems after several months of use. Car was ready when he said it would be at the price we agreed to.My wife had gone to about all the car stereo sales and installation shops in Lubbock and Mike was the only person she felt comfortable with. I visited with Mike and agreed we trusted him and his work.Bottom line you cant go wrong using this company for a quality product professionally installed at a fair price.Dont understand the one poor review, thats not the company or person we dealt with

The work they do at Custom Sound works is absolutely Perfect. The best install I have ever seen and as far as customer service goes simply fantastic not only do they help you if something is not going right for you but they also do what they can to make theyre customers happy. I just went in for an upgrade Mike (Owner) Helped me in ways I couldnt even imagine. I also went in because I was having some problems after stuffing my trunk full while moving from somewhere that is an hour and a half away pulled some wires out of the amp they were happy to take a look and hook everything back up the way it was supposed to be not only that but they got me a better upgrade than I asked for, for a very good price. Best Sound Shop in Texas had them install 4 DD 10s in my truck and they ROCK knock my rear view mirror off the windshield all the time sounds clean was a clean install, all wires were nice and clean and the best part was they didnt try to sell me any thing I didnt need and help me choose which equipment would be best for my needs, never felt pressured to buy any thing Mike(owner)is a very nice guy and has lots of knowledge, Then there is Richard he is an absolute wiz kid and can build a box for any car and they are always built with the highest quality you will not be disappointed with this guys!!!

Small install just wanted to replace stock radio. Did not try to upsale me worked with me and I worked with them. In and out in about an hour with no appointment. Professional and courteous.

I have been a customer here for 5 years. They have helped me with any problem Ive ever had. They are very knowledgeable about everything with car audio. If anything is ever wrong they will trouble shoot it and fix it. I have had 4 different systems installed by these guys, all of which rocked. I currently have 2 DD 18s with an awesome box and amp rack, I let Mike and Richard design the whole thing without my input, and they blew my socks off when I saw and heard it for the first time. Super clean and professional install.If you want the best, then I suggest going to talk to the guys up at Custom Sound Works.

Went in to Custom Sound Works about a week ago to have a radio and remote start installed on my truck. The radio was just for my enjoyment (and functionality with my android phone) but the remote start was the important part. My wife and I will be having a child in the near future and wanted to make sure that I had remote start so I could get my black truck cooled down in the blazing Texas heat. After picking up my truck and using it for the last week or so I couldnt be happier. Everybody at the shop was very friendly and informative. I went around to all the local shops feeling things out and have to say that this shop made me feel far more welcome than any other place. No pressure, just information. If you are looking for a place to get car stereo stuff done then this is the place to go for sure in my opinion.

I went in about a month ago to have a radio and bass package installed in my car. Thought I was getting a good deal at first, the salesman made it sound like I was getting the best in the world, well it turns out that once it was installed nothing sounds right. It doesnt work with my phone either which the guy said it would. I have taken it back multiple times to have it fixed and it still doesnt sound right, then the salesman tells me that I needed a different radio other than the one he sold me to work with my phone and tried to charge me another 200 dollars. I got my money back. I went to MGM in Lubbock and got there prices and realized that he charged 400 dollars more for the same radio that MGM had. They listened to my problem and got me in the right radio the first time. If you enjoy getting the run around and paying to much, then this is the shop for you... if not then I would definitely take your business else where

I have known Mike Jones for a couple of years now and he has always done an excellent job fo my truck! My system has gotten much better ever since he has gotten a hold of it. He does work for all of the employees I work with and all of them love his work! He has a family full of women and i am also a female, therefore i know he is not trying to screw over females. The Larry Bird review is bogus because none of it makes sense. He has a ton of high quality customers that come into our family restaurant and all say his work is amazing. Mike just installed my new Pioneer touch screen and I am in love with it. I think everyone should go into his shop and personally meet Mike Jones and his workers, they all care and love their work, and do there absolute best to keep their customers satisfied. Dont just read theses bogus reviews, take some time to actually meet the real experts. A lot of shops are out to get these guys with this bogus reviews. I have personally seen the dozens of tropheys Custom Sound Works has earned and I know they deserve them.

I walked in to ask about a auto start install and as we were talking he got a call and i figured he would tell them to hold for a min so we could conclude our discussion but he just left me there standing as he talked to whoever was on the phone. So i walked out.

Multiple World Titles at ripping off Ppl....... I had a simple install done, The price that was quoted to me was O.K. I had to pay a full car payment when I returned to retrieve my car.Trash & wires were left on my floor, Asked one of the Doe Does that work in the shop area that my radio sounds like S#%t... He then informed me that my speakers were no good...2013 car.. Sounded good Before... Just a ploy to get more money out of me.. They didnt even set the time on the clock.. it was blinking like the time on a VCR$45 dills for a fuse holder What Da!!$15 for a fuse come on!!!!Just because Im a female I was F$#&I knew something was wrong when I looked at the Dusty display Items with no prices... Just another way to bend you over

Do ya install halo lights I got some off Amazon and need to have them put in on my 2015 dodge durango

Took my heart and soul (99 Celica) which I had poured uncountable late nights after college and working on putting to the best place in Lubbock. Had whats known as an alternator whine coming through my speakers and was my last ditch effort to pay the experts to help me out. At first they charged me $16 to play music from their ipods through my amp and told me the problem lied in my headunit and they could replace it and solve the problem. Downgraded from a touchscreen with all the bells and whistles for a bottom of the line headunit, but with the intentions of eliminating the extremely loud buzzing noise coming from my speakers while the engine was on, I felt there was nothing else I could do.After talking with the owner, Mike about how I would never have to worry about it again, I was assured that the problem would be solved. Little did I know that after replacing my headunit, the problem persisted and they had only stuck a proverbial band-aid on my head unit and sent me on my way.So there I was, $202 and change in the hole, with a downgraded headunit and still engine noise screaming in my ears.After more of my own tinkering, figured out that the problem of the ground loop, was caused by an RCA cable touching the chassis of my car. Simple fix with some elec tape did the trick.. After solving my problems, put back the headunit and cranked it...nothing. Panic set in. Took me a half hour of going over everything from fuses to wiring, checking the amps, battery...when I got around to taking what they worked on (what I never needed to worry about because they crimp connections direct quote from Mike) noticed that the remote wires had slipped out. I know it wasnt him that did the work and its hard to people who care incessantly about their work here in LBK but I was seriously let down. Old fashion elec tape has NEVER let me down, took me a minute to fix and I was back in business.Before going to Custom Soundworks, I researched Mike Jones and boy, what an incredible history with Crossfire and development of the SPL world. But in mine, remains tainted.Only reason for giving two stars instead of one is because I got an autograph by the man himself (which I later threw away in disgust).

Doors wont unlock till 2nd or 3rd time. I unlock doors and alarm still goes off. Was told to use secondary remote. Really, thats the solution for unlocking my doors. Would never recommend this place.
