BI bought my son a t shirt to celebrate his choosing U Mass Lowell School of Business. They sent him a Engineering School shirt in error and insisted he return the shirt they sent him in order to exchange it for the shirt I actually ordered. Imagine, sending someone a gift and then, because the store sent wrong item, asking the gift recipient to return the shirt because the store made an error. The School of Business ought to educate the River Hawk Shop on how to keep customers happy.

This place has everything for college supplies but its way more expensive. Some of the things are very overpriced like one pencil for 2$ and access codes are like in between 100-150$. Once I had a problem with my Math access code and when I went there and told about my problem,they didnt seem to care that much and I had to get a new access code and pay more 120$ for it. If you need to buy text books for physics, chemistry and calculus better get it on Amazon.

UMass Lowell book store. These student employees are the best. Like every campus bookstore pricing is crazy but a fun place to go. If you are on book voucher the only place you can go. 5 stars for the great student employees

Very expensive and the parking youre forced to pay for metered parking even though you pay $200+ for parking unless you park past 5pm. You can usually find the books cheaper other places but they still keep their prices steep. The clothes are good quality but to rep the school they are way out of price for being students.

Dont buy your books here. It is much cheaper to buy them or rent them online. Amazon rentals is really good. If you buy them here theyre really expensive and they take a while to come in.Also, the clothing here is really overpriced. I bought this $70 sweater for my dad and it was nice but not like $70 nice. They also left the security tag on it. Not great

Poor Management, seriously understaffed, bad customer service & not well trained. Whoever is the regional/district manager should be embarrassed to run one of the stores or numerous stores if any, that is running under thin ice.I ordered a book online since Ive accidentally ordered the same book twice from both the bookstore and amazon. Ive decided to return the duplicated book for one of my classes.On January 24, 2017, I placed an order for a used book for one of my classes. Once the order was placed, the website told me to wait for a confirmation email that I placed an order. I went there last night, told me they havent send me the email yet. Went there again today, and I completely got fed up and asked for a manager at the store. The manager told me that my order is sent to 1,200 stores...ACROSS THE USA AND CANADA!!!WHY WOULD THE COMPANY SEND AN ONLINE ORDER OF 1 BOOK TO 1,200 ****** STORES? TO PISS ME OFF?!!!I couldnt wait anymore and decided just to buy a book at the store.Like I said, the associates are bad, the managers just doesnt care. I only come to buy books, but apparently they just cant meet the demands for the customer.Update: 1/30/18Bookstore charged me $67.12 for a book I rented for around $35. What is wrong with this bookstore? People not doing their jobs properly? I asked to cancel the order but the lady on the phone that I spoke with said that the book that I am renting is apparently new and nobody told me about it. Also the lady told me that the new rental book STILL HAS NOT ARRIVED YET! as well as the other rental books I have rented for this semester is STILL NOT READY TO BE PICKED UP!!!!! Whoever fault it is I want to speak to the person who runs the store and I hope that person gets fired.

Great place to buy UMass clothes and more. Downstairs is the book store for students. Has a Starbucks and an Italian restaurant at the Crossing thats connected.

I had the worst experience dealing with the employees.of the bookstore. First they dont communicate their customers problems with other staff. I called multiple times over several weeks to sort out an issue and I had to reexplain my issue everytime because there was no documentation. Second, dont leave a voicemail because it they wont return your call for 3 weeks. Finally, they have no empathy or sympathy for other humans. They messed up on their side and couldnt no admit fault and send me a book that was rightfully mine. I went 5 weeks into an online Chemistry class without a book because of their mistakes. This is my first semester at UML and the last time I buy my books from them. I would give zero stars if I could.

I went to school at UML and this place is ridiculously over-priced, even for a school bookstore. I guess it should be expected considering the price of attending UMass Lowell has skyrocketed in the past decade. Sometimes they have a good flash sale, but otherwise you can always find everything cheaper (other than sometimes UML-only lab manuals or custom prints) elsewhere. The layout is ok, but they really have no faith in their students (they make you leave all belongings upon entering). Been to my fair share of bookstores and I dont see this too often. I guess they have a poor idea of their students and dont respect them much. I tried to avoid having to rely on the bookstore.

They have everything you need for UML students. There are Supplies and books, UML gear, and more. Everyone is super friendly and the store is well organized and stocked. Prices are a little expensive as is expected. But they have some really nice things for students and parents especially for after graduation.

Its decent if you like stuff related to uml/ the color blue

Service is typically terrible. The book trade in program down stairs is a scam Im pretty sure; I found a trade in value on their website and when I went into the store to trade it in they said I needed to mail it. Once I did that it was impossible to talk to someone about it and I never got the money for the trade in.

Such a rip off. textbook prices are inflated and the clothes are overpriced for what they are too. Not to mention, the lady in charge is not pleasant. Shes a liar, told me I couldnt return a book I never even touched because it was too late even though the website said the deadline was a day after. Went back later and a different person accepted the refund.

Book store is very often out of the book you need for class. They do not take back books very often and if the do they do not give you much for them. The people in the store itself are not well trained and may give you incorrect answers. If you need to use the elevator you need a key holder to operate it. People at the store desk do not always know there is an elevator nor do the know who has the key.

TERRIBLE customer service, the worst Ive ever encountered. The employees are extremely rude and not helpful. The prices are also extremely high! Went to order 3 books and the price was $479 to RENT. Went on amazon and the price was $45 for the same 3 books, edition and author to rent. Dont waste your time and money.

Loaded with all the books youll need for classes at UML. Truth is they are a bit pricey. They do price match but only Amazon or Barnes and Nobles. And the price match comes in the form of a gift card, so you are forced to use the Bookstore again. Truth is 9 out of 10 books are way cheaper on Amazon or Chegg. Many times I have found books on Goodwills page on Amazon Marketplace for pennies on the dollsr with most books either buying them outright and especially when renting them.

They have a lot of stuff but the prices are high and I havent seen a lot of sales. Considering what you end up paying for classes and how many of those classes are overcrowded, the prices are bit high. If you want to buy a soda here they sell Pepsi products only, no Coca-Cola.

Worst bookstore ever! Do not buy your books from here. I ordered a book and it took more than week to arrive, also no one in there helps you with your order. I made frequent unnecessary trips, and their response was we cant find it, come tomorrow. Wow! I ordered a couple books from Amazon and guess what? Cheaper price, and it arrived in 2 days.

Everything can be this overpriced when its students blowing their refund money from federal loans on school merch. Such a joke.

Metered parking which is crazy considering we as students already pay for a parking pass. The book store CONSTANTLY runs out of books, not enough staff and cashiers are super slow.
