Im really on the fence about this one had service done on my bike. The service writer kept trying to up sell me a whole bunch of service that I didnt need or want. Needless to say I went in and spoke with the old shop foreman the old guy, no offense. And we explored the other options. Well needless to say the shop foreman saved me about $700.00 for a new rim and tire by exploring other options, (keep in mind the tire only had about 2000 miles on it) like trying to rebuild my wheel first rather than condemning it to the scrap heap right out of the gate.I would chalk this whole situation up to lack of experience on the service writer he just needs a little more experience/training. The old shop foreman saved this service/repair sell.So at this time I dont know if I will be back. Well see.

Love this place! Everytime we are driving through from Iowa to Estes Park we stop. The store itself is beautiful! They have the best clothes line Ive ever seen! And weve been to a lot of HD stores! The girl helping us was super friendly & helpful too! Well be back next year!

We were driving in from Wendover, Utah and got there about 5 minutes after closing. So we just took a picture out front and one of the gals said as she was leaving “I will take your picture “. She was already in her car and got out to take our picture. We told her how far we had come and was hoping to get here before they closed. They let us come in and buy 3 shirts. My family and i stopped in yesterday just to check it out and we were impressed. When we walked in a younger guy with longer hair started to talk to us i wish i could know his name but i don’t :( Afterwards we walked around for a while and found what we needed and checked out. The woman that checked me out was super nice and carried a little conversation with me. Both the guy and the girl seemed really engaged in the convo i just wish i knew their names. Will definitely be stopping in next time we are around that area!!

Love the shop. Great retail side with lots of clothing. Great looking floor full of bikes and amazing sales persons. They are always so helpful. I cant say enough about the parts department. They have helped me get those hard to find parts for my 20 RGS. They have a Military Discount too! Unfortunately, the one time that I needed mechanical help, I was surprised by the unprofessionalism of Dave in the service office. Gotta call him out. I will never work with Dave again. Dave was unhelpful, argumentative and acted like I was interrupting his coffee break. Dave is the reason for 4 out of 5 stars. Ill be back next week to get more parts, however!

Thunder Mountain is as welcoming to new riders as their site says. Their new rider course is rigorous and the coaches are tremendous. I cannot say enough good things about the way the coaches care about their students and truly support their growth. They will work with you until you have the confidence in yourself that they have in you.

Service department is a joke. Stopped in on the ride to sturgis to get an 18 tire for a 2020 road glide and they didnt have one and said they couldnt get one. The kid said he had never even sold an 18 tire before. They pushed us out and said good luck.

Big dealership. I have had services done here but have not bought a bike here. Everyone is very friendly and if you subscribe to there email list they have some great service deals. The annual party over Labor day, Thunder in the Rockies is always fun.

Would I ever recommend this place to anyone, NOPE! ISaw a 99’ Roadking on their website . Price was right up my alley. With bad credit after my Divorce and years of putting off buying A bike do to obligations. Anyway I was exited and yes Tgey knew that this was a life long dream. So I signed everyone and anything they put in front of me. I felt so welcome in to the Harley Davidson family. Then reality hit. I had to wait a month to get my bike since it was in Nebraska. So When I did get my bike parts where missing from the original picture on line. Sissy Bar and luggage rack. They gave me a bunch of excuses but nothing to make up for it. After all they had my Money and I was financed for the rest. So I took it like a man and left it at that. I rode my bike for two months then it died. TM said they can check it out but they would not be able to do anything because of the year and model of the bike. ( this would had been nice to know back in March) so what began as a dream come true spring has turned in to a no riding season . Bike is still down. H-D community has been awesome and very welcoming. Something that Thunder mountain Harley Davidson does not seem to know anything about. 👎🏼

This was the first Harley dealership I ever went to here in Colorado. It is not the closest to my place here and my go to dealer. The staff and customers here are always amazing people. There is always something going on here event wise as well. Also, they have a large selection of new and pre-owned bikes, motor clothes, bike accessories and anything you can think of. If you get into the area and are a Harley fan. I highly recommend you stop in and check this place out. You will not be disappointed.

I have purchased 2 bikes from here in the past. Was in the other day to get a part, on way out I saw a road glide I was interested in. Sales would not give me a price, said too many factors such as trade, financing etc. made it clear I was a cash buyer. Red flag for me!

As a former employee and someone who bought 2 bikes from ThunderMountain I can no longer recommend them. The service department, more so MARK talks to customers so unprofessional that I can’t believe he still works there! It’s sad to post this because Justin and Nick really do try hard to make it better... but with service like that they are nothing better than any other dealer. But you bike from them but avoid the service department at all cost, especially Mark.... he could care less l, and tells you what you must have done to cause the issue!

I’ve been dealing w/Thunder Mountain Harley-Davidson for 14yrs now, I’ve always been treated different there than any other HD shop through the country as i travel a lot. They have always been very agreeable and help me w/my purchases, the staff like Tina have been there for like 28yrs, so the turnover is very minimal and the sales staff has always been very accommodating to my needs and concerns. I just recently bought my second bike there, the first a new one and a super deal. The one recently was used but very new like condition, there were a couple of items they missed and after I bought it they were more than reasonable to repair the issues at no cost to me. They’re awesome! I recommend them highly, not your common HD store, the best!!

Not sure if it was them or my bank since everyone wants to argue on who’s fault it is, but my account was charged three payments of $349 for a class and it has messed with my rent/groceries. This makes me terrified to purchase anything more, so I probably won’t.

$695 freight fee on top of $495 doc fee for a bike they got from a dealership in Fort Collins. Lied to several times, had the mechanic lie to me! Sent me.out the door with a bike that had bad brakes, loose belt, loose bars. Assured me the bike was gone thru entirely and was good to go. All lies just to make the sale. And over 2 months later still no title work,and unable to get plated and registration. Absolute horrible dealership!!

Many years ago, I worked at Johns Harley-Davidson before it was sold and became Thunder Mountain. The people, the bikes, and the buying experience are miles ahead of what I remember from back then, and I absolutely loved it even then!! Anyone in the Rocky Mountain area (or anywhere else for that matter) should seriously consider bike shopping there along with all your other riding gear needs!!

I took the Beginner Riders Course at TMHD and it was an incredible experience. Liz Rabe, Steve, and Joe are seriously SO great to work with. They developed my rider skills 10-fold over that weekend course and I cant thank them enough! Ill be recommending the class to anyone that would like to develop their riding skills. :-)
