Really knowledgeable and helpful staff/owner, high quality boutique pedals, tasty guitar selections, and a choice used pedal case. Highly recommended for musicians touring through town to get performance grade gear.I picked up some JHS pedals gear while in town visiting, had a great experience.

Cool little store. Needed some work done on my amp. I guess well see how the repair turns.Update: Just got my amp back. Wow! Ive been playing for an hour and it is screaming! I honestly thought it had given up the ghost, but now it sounds like new. Even better than new! I cant recommend them enough.

Great little music store with very friendly, as well as knowledgeable staff. They have a really good selection of gear for the size of the store and I was very pleasantly surprised by their selection of effects pedals for both guitar and bass. The only con Id say is that they dont carry a ton of budget offerings as far as gear goes, but they arent any more expensive than anyone else in town considering the brands that they carry. That being said, they seem to have pretty high standards when it comes quality of equipment that they sell. So if nothing else you know youre paying for gear thats to sound good and last for a long time.Overall its a great store and theyre local. So if supporting local businesses is important to you then theyre definitely worth visiting.Next time youre thinking about going to guitar center, go here first. Theyre leagues ahead as far as knowledge and customer service.

The DeGeorge Bros run an excellent guitar shop conveniently located on Frankfort Avenue between St. Matthews and the Highlands area. They offer fantastic deals on a multitude of instruments such as guitars, basses, ukuleles, and many more, as well as any accessory to go with the instruments such as a case, an amp, straps, picks, and so on. Their pricing is hard to beat and they are extremely knowledgable about what is sold in their store, as well as very personable and willing to make conversation. I purchased an old Japanese guitar from the 80s from the store and the DeGeorge Bros made interesting conversation about the history of the guitar and gave some insightful knowledge that has been very valuable to me as a beginner guitar player. Would recommend DeGeorge Bros to anyone!

Bought an amazing pedal for my husband from these cool guys for Valentines Day. Theyre really knowledgeable, but also personable, and I really appreciate that. Their prices are fair (This pedal would have cost me $100 more anywhere else!!!) and they have a lot of unique and rare instruments to check out. They even have some exclusive guitar finishes you can only find in-house! Come visit these local treasures if you want to be treated with respect, get great deals, and have good conversations about music. Thanks so much DEGEORGE BROS! Consider us new regulars!

The used guitars are refurbished and in great condition. There are also guitar amps and accessiers. Tried to rip me off. Looking at an item and asked them if they do trading. Said they do. Found out I could get more flat cash at another store than they would offer me trade value at the store. Probably get more flat cash at a pawn shop. They offered less than 1/2 almost 1/3 of recorded sales price trading in towards something. No thank you. Victor was the guy trying to ripoff my gear. Needless to say I didnt buy the item. Rather shop elsewhere. Worse than a pawn shop. Dont get taken advantage of.

I was quoted a two week turnaround time for a nut replacement and setup on my guitar. After two weeks, the new nut for my guitar had not even been ordered, and I was told it would be another two weeks before the work would be done and it would cost me $100.It took a total four weeks and they charged me $125.Throughout the four week time frame I called the store several times to see when my guitar would be ready and got the same vague response, Hes workin on it. It should be done this week. One of the Bros argued with me over the phone after I called and told him it had been a month since I dropped my guitar off and I wanted it back, repaired or not. His claim was, You dont want to take your guitar to some guy who can fix it in a day. It hasnt taken any longer than I told you it would. Youre going to be satisfied.I never received an apology for all the time it took, only given excuses as though I was being unreasonable. The Bros were condescending, and nonchalant about the whole thing. I will not be back.Id recommend doing some research and seeking out Luthiers directly if you want any work done. For the same repair job by a different Luthier I was quoted a week turnaround (or sooner if I had to have my guitar back quickly); and this guy does an excellent job, imagine that! The Bros did everything wrong in my scenario: I was charged more than what I was quoted; the work took two weeks longer than what I was quoted; they argued with me; they did nothing to make it right.Cmon, Bros...
