Bright, clean, pleasant atmosphere. Had exactly what we went in for & no trouble finding it. Areas well marked.

I’ve visited this store about 6 times throughout the past 2 years. I have never been greeted or offered assistance in any way during any of these trips. A third of the time I did not find what I was looking for. Another third I found the items in damaged packaging but purchased anyway. The final third I found what I was looking for and was satisfied. The variety is great, especially for the area. The store is always bright and clean. Unfortunately, the customer service has been consistently nonexistent for me.

We purchased a set of binoculars that showed at a really good price. When the employee was unlocking the case to get them out for us, we verified the price. When we went to pay it was much more expensive. When we asked about the difference, the manager honored the price that was on the shelf. The item had been stocked in the wrong place by staff. Not only did he honor the price, but he still honored our veterans discount. We even offered not to take the additional discount, but he insisted. Were pretty sure the store took a loss. Awesome customer service!

Always love shopping here, and browsing around the store. Employees are always nice and very knowledgeable. Easy access to the store, and can be seen from the main road. Prices are very reasonable.

This place is waaaayy out there,, by my daughter Middle School.... A nice location I didnt even notice it until I turn my head to the right ----,, and I was in need of looking for two new fresh bike inner tube for my kids bike!!. The girls n I will be definitely going back to do some sports shopping and sport gears for the girls..

Nice place to shop at for athletic clothes and other accessories.. Although the prices can be a little high at times but sometimes they have sales and thats when I like to go to shop and there employees are really nice...

Theres alot to choose from in this store. Shoes, athletic wear, hunting gear, archery gear, guns and ammo, plus so much more! I was very impressed! The men in the hunting, archery and ammo department was very friendly and extremely helpful.

Love the Golf section but they need more Local teams apparel, i.e. UK, UL, LOU CITY.

I had an enjoyable time I walked up and down the aisles nobody bothered me nor did they come to see if I needed help which I did not I ended up buying a portable speaker that was in the very front of the store and I am happy with my purchase

They got all the bells and whistles for your outdoor adventure, but theyre employees when asked for something is a point in the direction they say it might be if we got it. Which clearly google maps shows product in store. Anyways call before you go.

Ive been here a few times. The store is well kept and nice. Staff is helpful whenever I had a question. The pricing is fair and I like how they have things on display. They have many different areas with a good selection from many different sports or outdoor stuff. Examples are, Exercise, soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, golf, running, biking, fishing, hunting, grilling, camping and many more Outdoor Sports and activities.

Like it had a unique variety of sports needs was able to get a speed bag for boxing is able to get items for my bike to pull a cart had yeti Coolers which I dont know about you but if this doesnt prove Bigfoot exists or should I say the yeti exists what possibly could LOL. I guess just like the legend of Bigfoot itself Im a bit skeptical at keeping things cold that long without plugging it in to something! Lol.At that price for me it remains a mystery to me .lol

We usually love shopping at The Academy because we love their products and the environment. Today we went to get our 5 year old daughter a new bike because she learned to ride without training wheels.She picked the most perfect, adorable 16” bicycle O Zone 500 brand. We carry it to the truck and get it home for her to ride.She gets on to ride it and the back tire won’t spin. The chain was too tight as well as the back hand brake was stuck closed on the right side of the tire which wouldn’t allow it to spin.My fiancé had to spend an hour and a half fixing basically every single bolt on the bicycle because it was extremely over tightened by whoever put the bicycle together.Every single bicycle we looked at while we were there had this problem when we began to think about it. (We only looked at the 16” ones)Pretty disappointed I paid for a bicycle to be fully assembled then had to fix it ourselves before she was able to enjoy a ride. Probably won’t be coming back for the 18” she wanted in the future.The fenders were also placed on the wrong wheels (front fender on back wheel, rear fender on front whee)

They have a good variety of sporting goods, including boating accessories. Prices are usually competitive, sometimes even better than Walmart!

I ordered a treadmill from Academy and was told the delivery option was a company called Assemblers. Academy told me this company will bring the equipment to my house and put it together for a small fee. I was very excited for this due to not having a vehicle to transport but also I would not have to deal with putting the equipment together. But after waiting a week for the company to deliver my equipment and then the company not showing up, as well as receiving some of the worst customer service, I canceled my purchase and got a full refund. It is unfortunate for Academy Sports that they lost a sale but I feel they need to find a different company for their customers delivers due to the way their customer are treated by them.

Great place to get ammo and guns, and apparel

Ive made several purchases here, from bike carriers, boots, running shoes, assorted clothing items,hunting and fishing supplies, as well as numerous end of season clearance items. Always satisfied. Only sad thing is the gun and ammo situation, but every retailer is suffering through that, so cant hold it against them.

Some nice stuff and fair prices. Bought 2 nice adidas shirts.👍

Went in found exactly what i was looking for and more! I would give it 5 stars but im given a 3 only because when i was exciting the door the alarm went off and they came running like i stolen something checking my bags! Hunting and fishing license this trip. But great place for good prices guns, fishing supplies, workout supplements, kayaking gear. They have the best prices and usually price match.

Went to pick up a few fishing lures and happened upon a sale on various lures in each isle, deep discount from 50-70 %. Love a bargain. Store is always clean and staff helpful. Parking lot is large and easy access with a light at Outer Loop. 1/24/19

This place just about everything you need sports wise and outdoor wise. My reason for going was that I needed some training wheels for my daughters first bike and the ones that came with the bike were very flimsy and bad plastic (bike DID NOT come from Academy Sports, came from Walmart) and I searched 4 stores and no one had training wheels except for these guys, when I say I was very impressed by the stores selection of goods I mean thatThis store has everything from camping to biking to regular sports (football basketball soccer golf) you name itWhat really caught my attention was the prices of their mens and womens Bikes I was very excited to see how cheap they were compared to other stores including Walmart, Academy actually beats alot of the prices your General stores such as, Walmart or Big Lots.I plan on coming back in the coming months for new Bikes for the family, there are plenty prices from $140-$300 and even the cheapest ones look very nice and reliable 👌👍

Drove all the way from Indiana to get some ammo I double checked online to make sure they had multiple options available for what I wanted they did pick up only in store so I went and got out to the store got to ammo they said we have no ammo I go up to customer service to see why they said they had no ammo when I clearly seen it on the carts the manager proceeded to say they only have ammo if you’re buying a gun from them😂 I won’t ever go back to one of these stores again

Firearm purchases always go well. They had stock for the 1st time in awhile. Ryan is super helpful and very knowledgeable. Walked away with a new firearm and some ammo.

Went there after Christmas to purchase a pistol, found a great deal on a Ruger LCP2 but took it to the range and the it locked up wouldnt eject the shell. Took it back for repair and 9 day later it was not sent, they said that they was to busy to send it back to Ruger so I brought it home and wont be going back.

They had the shoes we wanted but ammo would be nice lol

I love Academy as a whole so I’ll give them three stars, but if you’re going to advertise something as a certain price, if it’s going to have a sales tag right there above the box and also all over the aisle, then you should honor it. If I tell you it’s on sale, and I tell you the sales price, you should at least check to see if it really is on sale, rather than just saying it’s not ringing up on sale and letting me leave.

Ive always found amazing deals at academy and the fact that they have military discount is really a nice touch, in my opinion. I know there are a lot of more high-end, top tier outdoors outfitters I could go to, but I simply cant beat the prices at academy and they always have a way to make themselves competitive in one way or another.

Ive been to a few Academy Stores in my life but this Academy I was very disappointed. It did not have any kind of basketball, baseball or football jerseys or really anything that had to do with any of those sports. I will not be going back
