Their prices are high, their customer service is poor, and make sure you read the fine print...you cannot return items for a refund but exchange only. They also sold me a used product and then didnt want to exchange because it was used. Thankfully I was only out of the store for 45 min before returning. Go to Jim Dandy hair supply on 10 mins up the road. Much larger selection anyway.

Super helpful with choosing correct color of extensions for 1 time use for a special occassion. I have never used hair extensions and went here at the recommendation of my hair stylist. I was hesitant because of the bad reviews. But I had a great experience.

They have a wide variety of hair products. They have a lot of wigs there too. The customer service is absolutely fabulous!!! I recommend everyone to come here.

I am on a trip, I’m not even from or live in Kentucky.. went here was extremely uncomfortable and irritated. Would never come back and don’t recommend anyone else.

I have been shopping at this store since my daughter is 1yr she is now 13 and the employees here have always been very nice and helpful to both of us. Well stocked store, clean and well organized.. Even when I moved to the othet side of town I came to this store. Im sorry so many people say they have had a bad experience but I love shopping here.

It took 2 hours to get a hair cut I guess because it was a student but 2 hours in the chair is a little ridiculous. I was only half pleased with my cut. But it was a good price and I got a shampoo also I was pleased with that part but it was too long for the actual cut. I was half pleased. I might try it again but hope it wouldnt take so long. The cut she gave was very good it just wasnt what I asked for.

Good product... the man in there doesnt follow you around, but the women in there do! It makes you uncomfortable.. they only do it to black people for the most part.. sadly, there arent many beauty suppliers in this area.. Ive decided to shop online with my own folk... like they do! I wont spend my money there anymore.. so I would recommend going there if you arent black.

Please do not shop at this place if youre looking for a wig. First of all, they have a 3 wig rule that only lets you try on only 3 wigs. Its impossible to find the right one for you in only 3 wigs. Also, I went there to try on wigs and while I was wearing my natural hair out, she told me I could not try on any because my hair was too thick. Keep in mind, I wear wigs 6-7 days a week without braiding my hair down. I twist my hair in two twists and put a wig cap. I have done this now for 3 years. After I explained my process of twisting my hair, she still flat out refused to let me try on a wig. I will never ever return to this shop, not even for a bobbi pin. This is outrageous.

The rudest women work here. They will not allow you to take the protective netting off of the wigs so you can see the hair quality. If you ask for help they act like youre asking them for an arm or a leg. They treat you with disrespect the minute you walk in. Why own a beauty supply store if you dont want customers coming in?? I will never be back to this obnoxious establishment. If I could give them negative 4 stars I would!

I would give a zero if I could. Literally spent 60$ 2 seconds before remembering that I forgot my latchhook and they demanded the 10$ minimum to swipe a card. Smh. Just go to Jim Dandy’s. They are cheaper and at least employ people of our own color. I’d give them a zero if I could.

I like to wear extensions. I thought id check and see if they had any synthetic extensions instead of ordering from Amazon like i normally do. They only sell human hair. Which is fine. The uncomfortable part of the experience was asking if she had any hair that would match my current color. I have light brown hair. We dont have nothing that will match!... Okay... As i look right above her head,and see many shades of extensions that would blend in just fine with my hair.lol. AlrightIy then! Im a white female btw for all of the others commenting that they just dont like black people. Definitely just a cultural difference and language barrier. its not that hard to be helpful though, they should try a little harder. I was the only customer in the store, and the clerk didnt even turn around and look at her products to see if she had anything that would match me. Overall though they did have a huge array of hair extensions and wigs.

I wish I could give them zero stars. The short old lady followed me in the store. I have never stolen in my life. I walked in another black woman was talking to her friend about how she no longer shopped at another store that accused her of stealing, perhaps to passively warn the shopkeepers of trying to follow her that day. It was so bad that I had to tell the woman off just so I could shop in peace. I said, I only spend money, I dont steal, so go follow someone else and she scurried off like a roach. They wouldnt even look me in the eye when I cashed out because they knew they were wrong. Good selection of products, but not worth the unpleasant experience.

I really HATE shopping in this racist store. I asked two different ladies nicely if they could check to see if they had this faux loc hair in a different color in the back and BOTH without even looking at what I had in my hand said this is all we have. They never leave behind the register to help anyone, just stand there and take your money. Then one of the lazy chicks asked me if there were any of the hair I had left back there - I looked at her and said I dont know... Im like take your lazy butt back there and check. Ugh!

Worst experience ever! I like their wigs so I put up with the abuse for over a year. But I have literally had enough. They open stores and sell products geared towards the African American community and then treat us like thugs and criminals when we patronize their establishment. So, I go in... It is about 11a.m. store was not crowded. I was looking for a couple of wigs to purchase. 1st, two older women followed me around the store. I ignored this sign of disrrspect and I took pictures of 2 of the wigs to send to my daughter so that I could get her opinion. Thats when (in their language) the man and 2 older women began discussing me aloud. 1 of the older women then approached me and said....very rudely no pictures 4 times. No other hair supply store in town treats their patrons like trash so I smiled, left the store, jumped in my car and drove to JJ wigs....downtown 4th street, where I was treated like a queen. Do not shop in JC beauty supply. Its bad enough that we have no hair supply stores in Louisville that are owned by African Americans, but to have them sell us products that we use so they can get our hard earned money, and still treat us like trash, is RIDICULOUS!
