Jessica, the receptionist, and Mark —one of the head mechanics, gave us great service and they were very professional! We live out of town and our son (in school in Louisville) had a truck issue. They set up an appt for him within two days of the call, towed his truck from the university parking lot to their lot, and fixed the issue all in one day. What I appreciated the most of all was that Mark advised me to check with my insurance company and their policy of tow services because most full coverage policies covers a certain number of tows a year. And he was right! Our tow to his service station was covered and I would have never checked that out otherwise. We will use them in the future if needed!

Called to see about getting my subaru tuned. Unfortunately their tuner is out till the beginning of the year.

I was referred to Auto Motion by a friend of mine. Really glad I went I never even knew this place was here! Great staff, great communication and expertise! I highly recommend you come here! I had a cold air intake installed and a cat back exhaust system with a rear valance, everything came out great and I couldn’t more thankful. Great pricing too! I’ll definitely be going back when I need something done to my car!

I took my car in for a tune and a stage 2 flywheel/clutch. Before I purchased the flywheel/clutch kit, Scott took a lot of time to explain to me how the transmission works, and went out of his way to help me find the right flywheel/clutch kit for me. He did a great job, worked quickly, and Im very happy with his work.

Not sure where to begin, scott is by far the best tuner I have ever had an goes above an beyond the call of duty to help other with their vehicles. He brought a supercharger intercooler to my shop at 12am the night befor I took my stage 2 s4 to the track an if it wasn’t for him I could not have made it to the event. He has flashed my car stage 2 an the software hasn’t given as much as a hiccup since. The entire crew is super helpful an is very knowledgeable would recommended auto motion to anyone that needs some work done

My Fiat was out of place there yet they were very gracious and took very good care of my sick little girl.

This has become my go-to shop. Ive had multiple big repairs on a couple cars. The people are nice and communicate well, they even bring out to the counter whatever parts theyve had to replace. Ive had timing belt and water pump service here on two different vehicles, and this is where Ill go next time as well.

Scott tuned my S4 within an hour or so with no problems at all. Tune is fantastic, Scott was very informative. Definitely would recommend for all APR needs.

Auto-Motion overcharged me by $100 the first time I went there. I went over the invoice prices correcting this issue with the cashier before giving them my credit card. Yet they still charge me too much just one second later. Thinking that could have been an accident I went in to get a brand new head and valves installed. It took them three months to repair my car. When I picked up the car (still in their parking lot) I could hear clanking inside the engine. So I drove directly to the Audi dealership and they informed me that Auto Motion installed a used head (when I asked for a new one), they also installed bent valves. Audi said that when the car was started for the first time it instantly destroyed the cams. Both incidents happened with the owners daughter as the cashier and the son as the mechanic. So there’s no way that these people will be leaving the company. I guess this is just how they do business. They couldn’t have accidentally install used and broken components, especially if your customer asks and payed for new parts. By the way, the Audi dealership says this will cost $7,000 to fix why Auto-Motion did.

Kevin provided unparalleled quality and friendly service. He took the time to explain, recommend, and advise my build. He installed Cobbs upgraded fuel rails and lines, bigger injectors, fuel pressure sensor, and a drop-in fuel pump. All work perfectly since they were installed a few weeks ago. I plan on going back for other major upgrades.

There is always this idea that mechanics are out there for the money. And while some certainly are, Automotion is out there to provide quality service.Sounds corny but seriously, they are.Let me explain;I had Scott working on my car for several jobs and every time he summarizes everything he did in detail and will elaborate on any terminology you may not be familiar with and WHY it is important.Furthermore, I asked for an O2 sensor to be replaced but he found that it wasnt the O2 sensor but rather the placement of it. Any other mechanic would have replaced the sensor for the extra money from parts and labor, regardless of whether it actually needed it. Automotion gets continued clients because they evaluate every car fairly and repair it fairly.Theyre knowledgeable, friendly and quick. Do yourself the favor of not having to worry about sleezy mechanics and visit Automotion.

The full review is posted on their Facebook page due to reaching the character limit. ....Tried explaining to them what the situation was, and they asked for a picture of the engine so they could better understand what we were talking about. The guy is saying to put a piece of duct tape over the hole, drive it back up there and they will fix it. We asked about having it towed up there instead because we did not want to take the chance of causing any more mechanical problems. They guy says they do not pay for tows, (even though they were at fault) and suggested that if I have full coverage insurance, my insurance should offer roadside assistance to have it towed there. Having it towed was the least of my concerns. Once they received the picture and was able to fully understand what we were talking about, the man proceeds to tell us that that had nothing to do with what they worked on, they had no reason to mess with that part nor did they take it off, and therefore they were NOT RESPONSIBLE for the piece to be missing. He explains the reasoning behind it (might I add, the man had a reason for everything). He said they see this kind of thing happen all the time and that it eroded to the point where it fell off (referring to the plastic cover that goes over the PCV membrane on the valve cover). We tried to make our points, but nothing we said seemed to convince him otherwise, and there was no way that it could have been their fault and that it was just a coincidence that the piece fell off after being worked on. What are the odds? We were on and off the phone with them throughout the morning trying to figure out what we should do. We tried one last time to figure out what happened and see if they were able to understand that they were at fault. It resulted in me arguing with the guy, which was talking over me....

Scott and Jessica are great. They were always available by phone or email to answer any of my questions. My old air cooled 911 needed a few repairs and Scott did a great job on the car, keeping me within my budget, and filling me in on what he finished along the way. He is very meticulous and his passion for cars is evident. I will be back for service in the future and highly recommend this shop and it’s staff.

I drove from Canada to KY for a 3-day conference, just before my arrival the shifter started having problems. I was very worried as I was in a different country on a very short time limit. We called them up in the morning and Mark told us he would take the car in right away. They were fantastic!! The receptionist was very kind and reasurring, asking a lot of questions. They had the car fixed by 11 that morning! And no crazy expensive parts or repairs, he did his best to get the car in prime condition as quickly as possible and as inexpensive as possible, but still a quality job. I recommend these people 1000%! Thank you so much, Auto-Motion! You took so much stress off me and far exceeded all my expectations! Keep on doing a fantastic job serving happy customers!

I have a 2011 GTI. It is the first “new” car that I’ve ever owned and I did a lot of research on what I wanted to do to it to make it more fun to drive. I decided on getting some APR upgrades and that brought me to Auto-Motion. This ultimately brought me to Auto-Motion and Scott. Now, when I tell you that this was a pure lottery-style win in my favor that falls ridiculously short of accurate. Scott went way above and beyond what he was required to do. He worked with me on a time that would work best for my schedule. He was personable, knowledgeable, and made me feel like he was an old friend and not someone I had just met. He made getting upgrades to my car a really pleasurable experience that made spending the amount of money on it that much less painful. Not only did I get the ECU Flash, Auto-Motion just happened to have a full APR intake in stock that I bought and got put in that night! You hear horror stories about mechanics all the time, Auto-Motion will squash all of those fears. They have earned my business for anything that my car needs for as long as they’re around, which judging by how they treated me, will be a long time.TL;DR - Auto-Motion is awesome and I had a great experience there. I would recommend Scott to anyone who asked for a great mechanic.

Knowledgeable mechanic/pro tuner. Kevin knew the ins and outs of my Subaru and was able to perform on the spot corrections under the hood. My pro tune feels amazing, everything is smooth, I can feel more power and my MPG went up significantly by changing from the off the shelf Cobb tune. I would gladly recommend the place to anyone looking for knowledgeable help.

After 2 months of frustration with a general mechanic I was referred to Auto-motion in hopes they would be able to figure out my car’s electrical problem. The technician I spoke with over the phone, Mark, was rude from the outset. Furthermore, he did not seem to listen to anything I told them up front. After my car was there 24 hours, he called me to tell me nothing more than I told him when I dropped the car off and had not called my previous mechanic to get details on what they had already done, as I suggested at least two times to him already. He kept telling me how very expensive it would be to work on the car further. I felt belittled by this because, old and valueless as the car may be, I wasn’t ready to just give up. When I went to pick the car up, he continued to make me think he hadn’t heard a word I’d said from the outset, asking me the same questions and not recognizing that I was upset and did not want to discuss anything further with him. I paid my $300 for absolutely nothing and then he told me that when I look for a new car I should bring it there for a prepurchase inspection, insinuating that I hadn’t gotten one on the car I already owned. Laughable. I will never take a car to Auto-motion again.I will say that the receptionist, Jessica, was very patient and kind, and had far better customer service skills than the technician.

We were on our way to florida from Indianapolis when our car broke down. They did a phenomenal job at a fantastic rate and speedy service. Very friendly group of employees with our best interest in mind. Would drive an hour and a half from indy to go back.

Fanstastic work by Mr Scott. Very professional and more. It took a while because parts were ordered, but the reason I gave them 4 stars is because the communication. Not very clear at the beginning(Prices and car status). But I talked to Scott and next time I’ll be contacting him for any updates on my car. At the end of the day I’m very satisfied!

Was told they could get my car in and checked out immediately. Waited two days with almost no communication from the mechanic. Over charged for a new battery and terminals, and the labor was incredibly overpriced.On top of it all, they didnt even fix the car. Less than a week later it was having the exact same issues as before. Called to talk to the guy about it, and was told as far as they were concerned, it was fixed and it was my problem now. Guy named Mark was absolutely not helpful, and clearly didnt take the time to figure out what was wrong. Threw in a new battery, replaced some terminals, quick easy fix. Not thorough at all, and way overpriced.DO NOT GO TO THE MECHANIC.

About two years ago, I was very near junking my car because we were constantly having to do home repair after home repair on it. And it sounded TERRIBLE. It sounded like it was going to rattle apart for about a year, but I had trouble giving it up; I hated the idea of losing the car. Even though its quite an old, junky car - its MY car.Because I do love my 20 year old Saturn, even if I dont treat it well, I decided to take it to a professional before taking it to the junkyard on what I expected was the very off chance that they could get it running properly. I chose Auto-motion because they had decent reviews on Google and I have a preference for Local services.Auto-Motion did an AMAZING job. When I got the car back, it didnt shake anymore, didnt continually need its oil checked, didnt have oil all over the engine anymore, didnt constantly need its anti-freeze levels checked, and sounded and ran like it did when I first bought it! It was really great to have my old friend back. And the price was fair!In the two years since, I have continued to neglect and abuse the car, and today, it has keeled over again. Im waiting on AAA to tow it back over to Auto-Motion. They seem to really care about their people and the service they provide. They still had my records on file and kept track of little things about my car. Pretty cool! Ill bet they get her back up up and running and take years off her age at a reasonable price, just like they did before.

*Avoid if you value your time and vehicle*I had my car towed here after a minor accident that set off all my cars safety sensors. I brought the car to automotion on a saturday thinking maybe in a week I would have my car out especially since insurance was taking care of it. This was when my horror experience began..First of all when I brought the car I told the them I had to manually put the car on neutral because it wouldnt start (due to car safety protocol).I didnt hear back from them until I called during the week to check the status... I was told that the mechanic could not figure out how to put my car in neutral (a procedure that is in every Jaguar xj manual and one that there are videos on YouTube of) I had to tell them over the phone how to do that.. I should have just taken my car to another shop but I made the mistake of staying with them... What will happen after then is 2 months of these guys not knowing what they are doing, literally trail by error and not listening to whatever I told them.. At the end they had to contact the dealership who explained what it was.After I picked up my car, I couldnt drive it without being scared it was going to fall apart.. it sounded like the exhaust was blown up, there were huge vibrations.. I knew that automotion had done a horrible job so I took the car to another shop(Stein automotive) and I was told they didnt install the exhaust properly(yes I have pictures of it also).. I couldnt believe it, 2 months of having my car and still couldnt do what they were supposed to do properly.I had to call them again and get the car in for them to reinstall the exhaust.Fair to say this is my last interaction with them, I intend to have every job they claimed to do on my car re-inspected. A job that was supposed to take a week ended up taking 2 months and costing me thousands in rental. Their communication was also very horrible.. I was always the person calling and asking for updates on my car.. they hardly ever returned my calls.. I actually had to get my claims agent involved towards the end.. Also no one ever apologized for installing my exhaust wrong and almost damaging my engine..If you have a foreign car and the repair is not a basic repair like a tire change, I would take my at elsewhere.. I wont trust this lot with even an oil change, they might end up saying you need a new starter..

Been taking both our new car and older truck to them for years. Always super polite and never feel like were getting ripped off. Was having a serious issue with the brakes and the Ford Dealership was nothing is wrong. Auto-motion went out of there way to find the problem. Ghost in the brakes, solved! And no charge to boot!! As a former car restorer I was very pleased to find Mark Hillerich and his company Automotion. His honesty and integrity were tops. He went out of his way to seek out parts for my z3 that were pre owned, saving me a substantial amount of money. I liked the attention to detail in every aspect. My car was returned to me promptly and at a reasonable price. Jessica was very professional in her approach as the manager of the shop. If your looking for a top notch automotive repair shop look no further!

My car was serviced at Auto-Motion since my previous owner had it. They are very thorough with your vehicle. They will show you all the parts they replaced, what was wrong, and go line by line on your bill. You learn about your car, and you feel confident that they took good care of your car. Also, the price is very good, too. I often do simple maintenance on my own, but with their pricing and expertise, its hard to justify all that work... I live more than 30 minutes away from the place, but I still make every effort to bring my car here. Only tiny quibbles I ever noticed were: there were some oil smudges on handle one time, and they forgot to put the valve cap on the tires once.

Scott was very nice and I was very impressed with their facility! I went to have an APR tune removed that came on my vehicle when I purchased it. After seeing the shop and chatting with Scott I will for sure return for future work and would recommend them to anyone looking for any automotive work!

Went up there cause my car didnt run its been 6 months in their shop since I had my car and my car still doesnt run cause they didnt work on the primary problem but charged me for something else and Told me if I didnt pay $2,200 this is After 6 months when they decided to finish it they said they would auction off my car and my car still doesnt run. I give credit when credits due this is a terrible place stay away. The dude mark was even so petty man said it cost us to send the mail and he charged me a extra $20. They do bad business marks not for the people hes all about money thats going to be the reason why this company stops having business..If you think Im lying I can show you a before and after video message me on Facebook I can show you the letter they sent as well I thought they did good business cause of theyre ratings ...

The staff are very knowledgable, friendly, and honest. Their pricing is unbelieably reasonable and they do not try to upsale you. I took my Mercedes there to have two bulbs replaced in the tail light and head light. While they were performing the service a fuse blew. At first they didnt know why the car wouldnt start but they promptly solved the issue and didnt even charge me for the new fuse or the labor. I would highly recommend Automation for any Auto service especially on foreign vehicles.

I like automotion a bunch, Mark & Jessica are both super cool people to work with. They brought my VW Jetta 2010 Wolfsburg Edition 6 speed back to life after I messed up big time. Im even considering allowing them to dyno tune that later and any other modification I may want to do. Seriously recommend them if you love your car. They are reasonably price especially considering what I have brought to them.

Went in for a stage 1 tune on my VW. Had a few general questions about the tune and a few other issues Ive had with my car. Spoke with Scott and he certainly knows his stuff. Answered every one of my questions, let me see the tune flashing to my car, and even told me about things that could possibly go wrong with the tune, and how to fix them. I showed up late and Scott stayed late until the job was done(did not expect him to stay as late as he did) Sure enough one of the issues he mentioned came up, I followed the fix he told me to do and then my car worked perfectly. Price was exactly what was expected going in.10/10 would Recommend to anyone wanting to tune their vehicle or even get any type of service done to their vehicle. Very helpful and knowledgeable people.edit 9/25/2018: about 9 months after this review, I decided to preemptively change my timing chain tensioner, as my I saw a lot of other 2010 VW CC owners had a catastrophic failure with theirs, and I wanted peace of mind. This was a major job, that needed roughly a day and a half of work, and some engine disassembly. I was given a quote of around half the price of what the dealer quoted for similar service, and had 0 issues with Auto-motion Inc. It was finished on-time, and have had no issues since I had the service done 6 months ago. This really is an impressive business!

Ive been a performance enthusiast since before I could obtain a drivers license. After two decades of spinning my wheels playing with both naturally aspirated and supercharged V8 domestics the price of petroleum drove me to leave all those cubic inches behind for a more economical approach to making power. Promptly went out and purchased a new MKV GTi and within a couple months and many hours of research I decided to have the ever so talented folks at Auto-motion throw a tune on my brand new car to see what kind of performance increase could actually be realized simply through programming. I was so impressed by what the programing brought out of my 2.0 turbo I was hooked! The staff at Auto-Motion answered all my questions and made me feel like part of the family right from the first phone call I made to come in and see what they had to offer. Seven years later Im driving a MKVI Golf R which I handed the keys to Auto-motion at a mere 3100 miles or so and let them start working their magic again. I cannot say enough about how highly I regard these folks and their fantastic workmanship, professionalism and knowledge and I only wish I trusted my dealer half as much as I trust Auto-motion. Best kept secret on Broadway if you ask me!
