Once in a while a company goes above and beyond to follow up and although a product was received new with a few missing screws and pieces, Hollywood DJ continued to follow up and find a better-then-acceptable-solution. They contacted the manufacturer and got everything sent to me.Thanks for being great!

Just wanted to let you guys know your service and communication is everything! I have purchased lots of equipment from other companies throughout all these years. I bought a decksaver cover for my pioneer S11 mixer about a month ago. One thing that I’m big on is communicating with me about when my item will arrive. Ordered a product online and never got a tracking info for a week and when I finally called them I was told the item is backordered. They should have let me know if the item was out of stock in the first place, and putting it on backorder instead of cancelling didn’t make any sense either.

POOR. F- . No emailed Receipt. Had to call back for my tracking number. Sold me a part I didnt ask for. Then gonna tell me to find someone to install the Wrong part. Now wont answer the phone to return the part.If not in LA dont order nothing online from these folks.

They work under another name, Hollywood Guitar on Reverb.com They listed an item with free shipping that I purchased and paid for, after a week of messaging them for a status they just said it was gonna cost me an additional $200 in shipping and before I could even reply they cancelled my order and never replied back to me with why they just cancelled my order. This company is just a drop ship middleman.

I purchased an item from another retailer who shall remain unnamed only to find out AFTER they processed my order that said item was 90 days backordered, which their website failed to specify. This is where Hollywood DJ comes in...Hollywood DJ informed me that they had two of this item in stock and ready to ship. I placed my order through their website but unfortunately due to some sort of glitch, most likely due to every dj in North America ordering the same item as me at the same time, I missed out. 😩Along came Allan...Allan is apparently Hollywood DJs lord and savior. He spoke with me personally on the phone, told me that he would keep my personal information handy and if one became available he would let me know immediately... which is EXACTLY what happened.Allan contacted me on a Saturday, immediately notifying me that he had my item. When I returned his call, he explained to me that he was able to not only to procure this item, but that he personally put it in his office to assure its safe keeping until he heard from me. He then gave me his personal cell number and said to contact him personally if there were any issues during the ordering process. I am now patiently awaiting its arrival.Ladies and gentlemen, THIS is customer service at its finest! Hollywood DJ has a customer for life! And as far as Allan goes, they should send him on an all expense paid vacation to wherever he chooses!Thanks Allan and Hollywood DJ, youre the BEST!!!

Fast delivery! Alan special ordered a Vox BC112 Vox Guitar Cabinet for me and it arrived in 2 days! The Celestion 12 rips through the mix but is still warm and pairs perfectly with the Vox VTX150. The VTX150 was always a little thin sounding with the built in speaker and I had no idea how much better it could sound. I wish I would have purchased this extra speaker a long time ago!It’s refreshing to deal with a business that delivers what they promise. Allan the owner is super helpful, great guy. I live in Pensacola, Florida. My band suggested that I get the highly effective and popular Behringer EQ700 pedal to dial in a great sound, so I looked online for one. Every store (including Amazon) was out of stock, except for Hollywood DJ. I bought the pedal from them, then got a call from Alan (store manager) the next day that they were also out of stock. However, thankfully they still had the display model. Allen offered the display pedal for $25 as opposed to the original $30 store price. This was 2 weeks ago; the pedal arrived today and I am thrilled! I will definitely buy my equipment from Hollywood DJ again and I highly recommend them to all musicians! Alan was very friendly and timely!

Beware something is fishy...So i ordered a b-52 at-412 speaker cab, it said it was in stock and the shipping was free. so i ordered it and when i tried to track it, it hadnt been sent yet. so i called and was told they had it but it didnt get shipped because i have to pay 100 dollars for shipping, even though it said free shipping. they didnt send any sort of notification to tell us that, just let me wait. it was a guy who spoke really bad English, and looking at one of the replies from the seller here on the Google reviews, he doesnt know how to talk right either. he says a industry standard.... its an industry standard. these are people who cant even use the right pronunciations that we learned in elementary school, that we are giving money to. they were even too lazy to use spell checker.There are all kinds of fine print that you dont know about, until its too late.Bottom line is, Order somewhere else, somewhere with people that can talk to you like adults, not like a poorly educated children.I gave it 2 stars because i was able to cancel the order with no added charges (so far anyway).

I have had mixed experiences with Hollywood DJ-I have ordered from them twice and I have received what I ordered so I guess that is a plus. The first time I ordered I was supposed to get free shipping but I did not. I actually had to call them to find out why the product hadnt shipped yet and it was at that time that they told me I had to pay about $20 more for shipping. I said okay because I really wanted the item. A few days after paying the shipping fee I received shipping confirmation.Later, I needed another of the same item but I wanted a different color. I ordered it, the price was higher this time but the shipping was free. It took about 10 days to get a shipping confirmation and eventually I received the item. The color of the item was darker than it appeared in the pictures and I didnt like it for my rig so I emailed them inquiring a return. I never heard back. After a few days I called them and requested a return or exchange and they told me that it was a made to order item and they dont accept returns on those items per the returns page on the website. So here is where the biggest problem lies. The product page does not mention that the item is not returnable/ made to order and the return page doesnt say anything about made to order items anyways. The product page actually states that the product should ship the next day- this was not true either time that I ordered the product.Had I know that it wasnt returnable I probably would have ordered the same exact color that I previously purchased because I knew it was a winner.-poor and inconsistent communication-poorly written return policy-misleading product descriptions and shipping promisesIt seems like they want to please but at the same time it seems like they dont completely have their act together.

Worst DJ Store ever. Latin Power is wayy better. These guys couldnt fix my Bass speaker. they took 3 months with it to only return it worst than it was before. They used Chinese parts for my JBL PRX, it still doesnt work - now they wont refund me some money back. Waste of time and money.

Tried to give Hollywood DJ Equipment another chance. Same issue as before -- ordered an item, paid for the item, and item never shipped. I had to contact them to find out the item isnt in stock and probably wont be in the future. Initially, I emailed them for support but didnt receive a reply. I decided to call them and, they offered to cancel the order. That doesnt assuage any of the frustration. I wouldnt recommend Hollywood DJ Equipment to anyone.

I been getting gear here since 2001, and they always have the newest gear before anyone else gets it, I got the Rane 62 two weeks before it came out and now I got my DDJ-SZ before anyone, and for a discounted price too. Attempted to order the new Pioneed DDJ-SZ through this site. Preordered it and was told that they would be in stock 3/25. Checked their Facebook page on 3/25 and they even have a post stating the product is In Stock!. So just to be sure I call their toll-free number to confirm they are in-stock and will be shipping out today. Much to my surprise, Im told the product is NOT in-stock, despite preordering it and it being announced on their Facebook site. When I questioned this discrepancy with the customer service rep, Im told sir, Im not involved with the facebook page so I cant speak to that. That product is not in stock. Once told that, I requested my order be cancelled.My suggestion for Hollywood DJ: get your social media person in sync with the person answering the phones.My suggestion for anyone considering purchasing from this merchant: AVOID! They are advertising product as in-stock when it isnt, and cant even keep their story straight on inventory. Disorganized and quite frankly dishonest.

I called a couple of day after purchase, then I knew they cancel the transaction. They said I was notified via email which I never received. When I told I was upset how they handled the purchase, the CS said that was my opinion with arrogant tone. That was the first time and last last one time I order from them!
