I am very happy to have discovered RSR.It can be daunting trying to find a talented technician to work in your horn that isn’t going to make it worse. How do you choose from the google options without a trustworthy reference? I’ve definitely been burnt by other technicians in the past.Well, trust that you are in safe hands over here. Richard is a walking encyclopedia of saxophone, mechanics, physics, and aerodynamics knowledge. He has built his own horns and manufacturers his own custom mouthpieces (not just another sax player that decided he could fix horns after taking his own one apart and putting it back together).I sent a text to book in an appointment and was on my way after a quick call 5 minutes later.He identified and fixed the issue with my mkvi in 2 minutes then we ended up talking for a couple of hours. I learnt all sorts of interesting new things about the mechanics of the sax and mouthpieces etc.Very pleased and my Sax plays like new.
