This place is freaking incredible. One stop shop for dedicated musicians. Record new music, book rehearsal studio time for upcoming gigs. Studios are uber clean, organized, state of the art-- they even had an espresso machine! Forgot your recording cables? Need an extra Mic? They have a fully stocked inventory of last minute equipment. ATM, Keurig in the lobby, arcade games, cafe tables, impeccably clean bathrooms! AND tons of parking. Dude, Im in love.

Bedrock is an amazing place. I’ve been practicing here for years and it’s served me well. During 2017 I had such a fulfilling experience here, that I wanted to take the time to thank Bedrock staff for being so genuine.I practice here mostly in the evening to close during the weekdays and every night it’s a different charming crowd of bands and musicians rehearsing and writing music in the maze of rooms. It’s incredible and magical that this place exists. They run a tight ship here for all the bands coming and going every hour, sometimes it’s quiet and sometimes it feels like a parade. I’m amazed at how the crew resets the multiple hourly rooms like clockwork. Julian, in particular is truly knowledgeable and his care for the equipment and set up is meticulous. He’s polite and friendly, and he’s the only one I can really connect with (during the night shift) and relate to about all sorts of questions I personally run into from vocal techniques, to mic placements, to sound checking our board before a rehearsal. It’s refreshing to have someone who also works on their own project to talk to about audio. It was Conner and Julian that were like a dynamic duo. Even though Conner has moved out of state, Julian is here running the show. I’d like to see him there more often. He really makes this place shine. I recently met Meg, she’s pretty rad too. I just can’t say enough about how important it is to play music if you work in music. Bedrock is the place to be. Try the Simpsons arcade game, it works for free when you push the little red button by the coin slots. And beware the soda machine, it steals dollars, but the staff will fetch your soda out for you. No need practicing anywhere else in L.A., this is the only practice spaces with community I’ve ever seen.- Cheers,An L, local musician

I LOVE to rehearse at Bedrock.LA because they CARE ABOUT COVID (everybody wear a mask and respect the social distanciation), they HELP (dont hesitate to empty a room if you need), they ARE CLEAN (the restrooms are always clean and they provide alcohol wipes in the rooms) they ARE NICE (they dont have problems, they just have solutions). They are JUST PRO, so JUST GO THERE !🤗🤘👍😎👏🎶

The staff and everyone there is wonderful! The rates are okay, but reasonable considering the area. Parking can be a bit of a nuisance if you go on a busy night and on occasion, in some of the rooms, the gear is is a little worse for the wear (blown out speakers and what-not)—to be expected in a place with such heavy use. The last few times Ive been, though, theres been a good amount of interference bleeding through the amps and the occasional zap from the microphone. Couple that with a pretty consistent feedback battle with some of the rooms speaker arrangements and theres some room for improvement here and there. Overall, though, a good place to rehearse!

In response to the question of how could we improve? Id like to start with a few basics. Recently, the hourly rates on the smaller rooms went up a couple dollars, so now $20 per hour. Depending on which room you get, A, B or C, the experience is never the same. The PA in room B barely gets loud enough without feedback to hear our vocalist and for a loud band, thats important. So maybe some investment in to some of the equipment in some of these rooms. At the very least, paper towels in the bathrooms would be nice. The bacon dispenser (that still makes me laugh) doesnt work unless you want to spend all of your rehearsal time drying your hands (So maybe a newer air dryer at least?). I definitely see that Bedrock operates in a lot of areas of the music business, so I have to wonder if investing in improving some of the smaller rooms slightly would be too much to ask?Bedrock L.A. is a staple in the rehearsing studio business and community here in L.A., obviously, and I would recommend them if someone else had no other options. The staff is excellent, for example. Just for some bands, Bedrock might not be the best choice. Its definitely not my last choice, but as of right now, its not my first choice either. All that being said, Bedrock L.A. is still a great place to rehears if its close by to you or makes sense for your band or the type of music you play. If youre looking to book low cost rehearsal rooms and need a little more clarity, perhaps it is not. The staff is helpful and friendly and I have nothing but love for them.If I had to say on a scale of Bad, Acceptable, Good, Excellent or Awesome Id definitely have to rate them as Excellent, so in which case I am actually going to adjust my review to 4 stars instead of 3.

Bedrock LA was exactly what my band was looking for- a decent practice space with infrastructure, at a great rate. Good people, too. You can hear through the walls depending on the bands there, but all around I highly recommend this place. (The parking is annoying, so if you cant deal with it, then go find another spot.)

Great place to rehearse. Staff is efficient and lets you know 10 minutes before your time is up. This is good to get the previous group moving along. There are a lot of rooms and you can sometimes hear others through the walls. I brought a small amp but ended up using an Ampeg stack. Quite a few amps to try, not quite like going to Guitar Center, but then again there are no salespeople to hover over you. Finally, they have a waiting area with free pinball! It doesnt get any better than that for me.

Large facility, many rooms, attentive service by Andres and a lass who helped balance the sound. Parking avail and a workable system if u have to block another vehicle to fit. Cool LA-grunge environment w/a wide variety of musicians...reasonable rates, AC in individual studio rooms if u need it. Hip rocknroll thru the ages decorates the common area environment. One of THE rehearsal studios in LA. Also highly recommend Summit in Pasadena...if u can get in. They have a recording studio as well...

This is absolutely my favorite studio in Southern California, bar none. The staff is accommodating, the rates are competitively priced, and the site has literally everything one can ask for.Individuals and bands starting off can rent out the hourly rehearsal rooms. Ive been to some places that charge you more to play on student-level instruments. These rooms come with professional grade gear (though if the room has two guitar amplifiers, the second one is definitely a solid state amp, but still...) Established bands can take advantage of their monthly lockouts while anyone can record in the studio they have on site. Bedrock also has showcase rooms for your group to practice in front of a crowd and has instrument rental in case you need gear in a pinch.Overall, the facility is amazing and they did an excellent job of providing both value and a pleasant experience for those who jam there. I recommend it.

Bass amps are always a problem 😾👎 Better off bringing your own.-Spent an hour trying to get an amp where everything worked (inputs) and still had to settle on a amp that barely did the job. Examples, half stack cabinet didnt work (I brought my own amp because last time the amp didnt work.) Then was brought a combo amp and the effects loop didnt work. So I ran the Bass clean and within 5 minutes the input jack started crapping out. I was a bit upset because that cut into our practice time. I will most likely bring my own amp from now on.

There are very few places in Los Angeles today where you can say that there is a genuine scene, real community, earnest people. Bedrock has these and so much more. Its not perfect, but this is the best place to record music, form a band, rehearse for the show, get your guitar fixed, and buy new gear ANYWHERE in the United States, and maybe even the world. Yah I said it. One of the dopest spots for musicians in the world. They keep it real.

The absolute best rehearsal spot in Los Angeles history. Ive been to spots ranging from the high end like SIR or other private have to be signed places...to the low end, just moved out here from Iowa and Im drunk place(that place on Selma and Highland comes to mind). And everywhere in between. But this place got it right. The staff is always awesome(although I wish they had kept a few of the guys and maybe gave them raises....too much employee turnover). But they have always been great and polite...the atmosphere is friendlier than most places in LA, where musicians usually openly hate each other. This place the bands are nice at least.

Disappointing internship experience to say the least. I was rarely ever needed. Was not allowed to make honest mistakes (in other words, learn). Very little professionalism from E.R. I promised him that I would correct my mistakes and re-study my material. He promised to call me back but never did and offered no reasoning or explanation. I was left confused and disenchanted and have since then decided to no longer pursue audio engineering. Best of luck to anyone out there whose trying to make it to their dream carreer. Its a dog eat dog world and E. R. forgot what its like to be young and inexperienced.
