They fixed an exhaust leak on a short notice. Its been holding up well after a month. Quality job and reasonable price done same-day.

Kartek is the best custom exhaust shop in all of LA. They do EXCELLENT quality work, with high attention to detail. If you’re looking for solid work Eddy is the best guy around. I’ve been using him and this shop for 20 years. Quality keeps me coming back with all my cars/trucks. Highly recommend. See photos of the work they did and judge yourself.

Please stay away! I had the absolute worst experience. I went in for an oil change after purchasing it on Groupon. After about 1 hour, they told me I needed to replace my rotors and brake pads. Then, I needed to replace a few more things apparently. In all, they said I needed $1400 worth of services. I repeatedly said no. 45 minutes later (not sure why an oil change needs this long?), my car simply wouldnt turn on. When I confronted them about it, they said it was because of the issues I came in with. The owner was absolutely disrespectful when I asked for more information, going as far as interrupting me and saying are you done? after I asked him to lower his voice multiple times. Im now going to need to get my car serviced, and spend way more than the 49 bucks I spent on Groupon. PLEASE STAY AWAY! They are a HUGE scam, incredibly disrespectful, and not worth the savings.

Everyone at KarTek was super awesome. Got my brae rotors and pads replaced along with some other work. Everyone is so nice and explains things very clearly even though i dont know much about cars. I will definitely be coming back when i need anything else done.

These folks have been my mechanics for 20+ years. Saved me thousands. My transmission started slipping a while back. Took my 1989 Jeep to Two Transmission Shops close to work. Both represented that I needed a NEW TRANSMISSION in writing. $2,400-$2,600 Went to Eddie and John (Kartek). They did a diagnosis, and replaced two sensors. $100, complete out the door. 5 years later, still no Transmission problems. These guys are fair, honest, and truly talented professionals. I have nearly 300,000 miles on my 1989 Jeep. I give them all the credit for keeping it on the road.

Does not stand behind their work. Had to go to another shop to finish a simple muffler issue that wasnt fixed right. I wouldnt go back.

I always took my Rav4 to the Santa Monica Toyota dealer for service. When I needed a new catalytic converter, the service rep understood that I could not afford to pay their costs. He referred me to KarTek and Ive been VERY pleased with the service and costs. The owner, Eddie, is more than fair. When I had subsequent issues, he had me bring the car in and he made time to check things out and provide additional service again at a very fair cost. Its great to have a repair shop that you can trust!

John and his crew are great. Im always wary of trying out a new mechanic, but these guys are trustworthy and competent. They were the only people in WLA who could deal with my broken transfer case.

Kartek was recommended by the original owner of my 1996 car. Eddie and his team have kept the car running well since I purchased it in 2011. I can rely on Eddie to give me a straight answer when I have car problems, to quote a reasonable price for repairs, and to offer affordable options when appropriate.

Stopped in today and was not greeted warmly. Despite not making an appt w/ my Groupon, he could have been kinder. There is a right and wrong way to tell a customer about your companys policies; and, he certainly did it the WONG WAY! Cancelled my Groupon immediately and going to another local mechanic.

SCAMMY! Stay far away. Went in with a Groupon for new brake pads and they upsold me on new rotors. Was told they wouldnt install the brake pads unless I purchased the rotors.Gave them the green light as I know little about cars. Waited 4 hours. Got my car back and my it was making a terrible “metal shredding metal” noise every time I braked. Literally iron scraping iron.Had to take the car BACK to the shop the next day. They fixed the mistake but with no apology or compensation whatsoever.Called my dad on the way back and he told me he replaced the rotors that they upsold me on the year prior and that those last for between 30,000-70,000 miles. It takes quite a while to wear those down for someone who doesnt drive a lot.I contacted the manager (Peter) about it and all he did was cover up the mechanic’s dirty business and give me bs excuses, reiterating that I “needed” them. Checked my car paperwork and dad was right. New rotors 12,000 miles ago. Don’t make an expensive mistake like I did. Stay far away.

Funny... despite seeing all this negativity and groupon bs... been coming here for almost TWELVE years and not only have NEVER had a bad experience my needs are always met!! people should take a look at themselves before casting so much hate!!

I have now been here twice, at the recommendation of another mechanic, and they are the BEST. Really honest, fast turnaround, and affordable. I feel safe taking my RAV4 here for repairs, and they really are a full service one stop shop!

The worst service ever. I got a Groupon for oil change tried to made an appointment three days the guy all times changed time and lied.Last try I was waiting for him 30mins after his lunch he was just keeping saying that coming but 30mins after I left.Nobody else could help me there.. everybody was waiting for the guy..I don’t recommend the body shop for everybody!

They are not the nicest people. I deliver to them. I will wait for them for a while to take the product they ordered. They wont say hello or look at you if they are busy.

Kartek is not a Profesional company and they do not stand by there work.We had a transmission rebuilt by Carlos Humberto Lopez, the transmission had worst problems after it was rebuilt by them. We notifying Kartek of the issues with the transmission. They took back the transmission for repairs the second time but again it was worst off. We were fed up with their excuses, we took the transmission to a different place to double check their work. We got a report from the new place saying Karkek tried cutting corners and most of the parts werent rebuilt. We will no longer do business with them anymore. We ask for the money back for the work that was done. Carlos promises to pay back the money it has been 2 months and he has not paid back the money. I have gone multiple time to the business to talk Carlos and found multiple customers of Kartek crying or complaining about the work done by Kartek. Beware of all these fake comments.

I bought a Groupon and tried to use it for the past three days, but each time I have called and talked to the staff, they have been nothing but rude. They would constantly tell me to come the next day. On the third day, I brought my car in, and they said that they cannot help me since everyone was going on their lunch break. They didnt even tell me to come back in an hour or so. I asked when I can come back, and they said 1.5 hours later. So I left, and then I called 1.5 hours later and the guy who handles the Groupons said he isnt in the office. He spoke to me rudely for all the three days that I have contacted him, and he said, again, to come the next day. I was fed up and said that maybe I should get a refund, and he got angry and started yelling at me, Fine fine fine! Yeah okay yeah you do that Im fine with that! So I hung up the phone. Now I am trying to get in touch with Groupon customer service so I can get a refund. I know that the Groupon is a killer deal (which is why I bought it) but I suggest that you spend a little more money and go someplace else. I highly do not recommend this place unless you want bad customer service and the staff yelling at you and constantly turning you down.

John & his crew are always very thorough & their prices are quite reasonable.

Kartek has always been my go to place to take my vehicle. They are very honest and offer great prices for their services.

They preformed some exhaust work for me and even let me watch (I find that stuff cool) did great work and gave me a reasonable price. Will use them again.

They did not give me the 35 point inspection form that was included in my oil change.. So I called them- they said they would fax it that night or the next morning... nothing.. so I called again and the mechanic at the shop COMPLETELY blew me off and said no one could help me. The previous guy I talked to turned off his phone and would not receive messages. Now I had to pay to get this inspection done... reporting this to Groupon as they said the inspection was included in the voucher.. very upsetting.
