Ive frequented a Love Bizarre many times. The shop is beautifully designed and thoughtfully curated. Friendly staff. Always smelled good inside. Magic vibes. So sad to see it close but grateful to know that the I can still hit up the online shop (neonaltar.store) to get my goods. Support local business!

A Love Bizarre is - without a doubt - my favorite place to get my spell casting items. I am an old school / new school California 3rd gender witch and its as if this shop - and Suzy and Nathan - sprang up out of my wettest, loving, tender and neon dream. Where else to buy George Michael FAITH prayer candles? I love this place so so much. My partner and I just finished burning through sweet Georgie.

Beautifully curated and witchy. Also the prices are so reasonable. This is a metaphysics shop that feels like the owners actually care about the craft and aren’t just trying to swindle their customers. High recommend. Also they have awesome events and a beautiful outdoor space!

I was referred to this shop for a tarot deck. They were sold out of the one that I was hoping to purchase. Thankfully I didn’t end up spending money there. They were recently called out and exposed for supporting a racist artist at their shop. I am writing this review because the people that own this place were extremely abusive in their response to the folx sharing their concern. 0/10 would not step foot in here again.

Come for the cool, edgy gifts. Stay to take part in what is becoming one of the East Sides most interesting subcultural centers, with live shows, movie nights, and more.

I stopped in this store a few months ago on a trip to LA. I was super into the fact that they seemed to create a safe space for queer folx. The shop itself is aesthetically pleasing. Unfortunately, the reason for the 1 star review is due to the fact that this space fronts as if it is a safe space for queer, BIPOC & marginalized communities but affiliates itself with artists who have been outed as exploitive and racist towards BIPOC. I would not shop here if you want to make sure your dollars are going to the right places. There are many other queer businesses to support in LA.
