Made an appointment over the phone the the Thursday or Friday before Labor Day weekend for Tuesday morning. Arrived with 4 lamps, two needed new shades and one of those needed to be tightened up all of that was done on site. The third lamp was working fine we had the wrong bulb, and the 4th needed some repair as it was a vintage bamboo floor light from the 50s. It is ready for pick up tomorrow (2 day turnaround)! Very nice and helpful, guided me to a brand new shade for Bamboo light and two new shades for the pair of bedside table lamps. Happy to shop local.

Sadly this lamp shop that is typically good in repairing seems to be overwhelmed during Covid period. I believe we all are trying to be kind in response to this pandemic and working together to do the best with our limits. However, she charged me $35 (which is not cheap) for a small lamp to be fixed and I had to bring it back twice to be repaired and rather than working with me she said she threw in free repairs. Sorry but $35 is not free. If its too overwhelming then please take some time off to rest and open again with the standard customer services you used to give.

I am hesitant to write this review but the service I received has been sorely lacking. I picked up my lamp almost two weeks ago. When I got it home I saw that it had been broken in three spots and glued back together. It is a beautiful old lamp base that has been carved out of rose quartz in the shape of an egret and flowers. I was upset to say the least and called the store. Wendy apologized and said it accidentally fell off the table as she was wrapping it up. She offered to refund my money and to try to fix the lamp. She picked up the lamp later that day. After a week I called inquiring about the repair progress. They said they would get back to me. Five days later I still havent heard from them. This is not acceptable service even in this trying period.

I’ve used this place a few times I’m a designer and could use them more but the owners attitude is lacking in all areas . This is another reason why retail is dying .... there are plenty of custom shade stores etc in this town I suggest you go somewhere else where they will pay clients with respect .This is not the place for even average service nor value .

I always enjoy going to lamp places this is one of my favorites they have parts & services and they will sell you parts as well. Sorry no photos it was Rush in and rush out.

Teresa was so lovely and helpful. I brought in two lamps. She repaired and rewired one lamp so I did not have to leave it. She then took down 10 different lamp shades till we decided on the right shade. She suggested better light bulbs which are LED and will last for years. The color of the bulb makes a huge difference. I chose new finials too. I left very satisfied and highly recommend!

Trying to find a difficult to match lamp shade and in the same color as the original was an daunting task until I found Lampshade Specialities. Not only is the owner wonderful, charming and extremely nice, but she had the exact lampshade for which I was looking. The lamp is my Mothers favorite and I was hard pressed to find a shade until....... Dont go anywhere else, oh, and the price was amazingly reasonable. I am headed there tomorrow to find shades for two lamps salvaged from a hotel renovation. See you there!

Great workmanship! We had 9 Lennox shades relined with new silk. I was worried about the braided edge detail getting stretched out of shape. The shades came back looking like new! Done in one week for a fair price. Smart and friendly staff. Parking right out back. You can trust this shop with your favorite pieces.

Needed new sockets, harps and wiring for two lamps. Brought the lamps in at 3:30 in the afternoon. Job was completed in half an hour. One of the employees also helped me pick out new lamp shades for the lamps. All in all an excellent experience.

The quickest, best, and most reasonable. they had my lamp repaired same day and i didnt even ask. very kind people. top notch work--this hanging lamp was designed by me and i wanted it put together a very particular way--they did exactly what i wanted, with a smile. i will be going back here for whatever i need.
