THE WORST!! Avoid this store at all costs!! Horrible customer service! They hate their job and are incredibly rude. They act like they are doing you a favor to serve you. Horrible in every sense of the word. The moment you walk in the door, the security guard will tell you what to do as if you just walked into a prison. I am appalled that in this day and age customer service is NOT about the customer nor the service!! This company has a huge lesson to learn. Better to buy online and not go through this. I am turned off by Guitar Center and all my friends and family will know about this. You are only as good as the way you treat your customers and YOU Guitar Center need to go through a whole lot of training with your staff!! The worst experience of my life was walking in your store...unreal!!! I hope my review will save others from a horrible experience..DO NOT GO THERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE....THEY ARE THE WORST!!! and to think I was ready to spend at least 1k and with a great salesman could of sold me more!!! Well, everyone will hear what I went through...They lost big time!!! Need to hire NEW staff ASAP!!!

Inventory is a little sparse(understandably), but the main gripe was the staff isnt as enthused as they used to be. Not a huge thing, but that personable vibe is missing. Besides that, still the place to go to let the eyes and imagination wander.

I ordered an item for pickup. When I arrived, they told me that it wasnt ready because they hadnt charged my card. Well I looked at my statement on the spot, which showed that the charge had indeed gone through. After learning that my money had been taken, they still would not release the item to me. I had to cancel my order and buy it with yet more money. The manager also blatantly lied to my face. He told me the charge would be reversed instantly if the order was canceled. Well, it didnt.... I really could have used that money at that time, but because of GC, I didnt have access to it.

They had pretty much anything a musician would need, whether they were advanced or a beginner. Very helpful.

Guitar Center is open🎸 Staff is very helpful in every department and allowed us to test the instruments. Well staffed and taking all the proper safety protocols. Nadine was awesome at explaining the drum kits 🥁 specs, prices and financing opinions.

They were extremely helpful and I really enjoyed my first experience.

Overall it was good for me, I got to play guitars, everyone is in their own guitar world, you get to play on amps. But, my only concern was that some of the guitars were in not okay conditions. One of the guitars I really wanted was chipped on the bottom, some knobs of the electric guitars were messed up, and some concerns for the amp cords. But the employees were awesome and they tried to help me out. They did eventually made me buy a nice fender acoustic guitar. Its a great place to check out just needs minor adjustments. Bad customer. The sales associate did not give us detailed oriented ethic work, and customer service skills. They did not give us an answer to the question that we ask the associate. The sales associate and security were very rude.

Inventory has dwindled substantially over decade or even since it first appeared and knocked West LA music out the area. Westwood Music north of here is gone. McCabes, True tone, and the little old Marina Music may be all thats left.Pandemic also hit Guitar Center hard.

Its a giant Guitar Center from a time when they could afford to have massive retail spaces. Now a lot of it is empty and looks like it hasnt been taken care of very well. The staff is friendly and you can find what youre looking for.

Store was clean, organized, and had what I needed. In particular want to point out that Aaron in Pro Audio was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and walked me through financing options for gear I was looking at! Honestly took care of me as if it was his own business.

They had a big selection of all your musical wants. My only complaint is that getting in the store was a bit confusing if you didn’t park in their parking garage. The street entrance is closed (due to covid I’m guessing), so you have to enter through the garage. There is no signage explaining this, but common sense led the way.

Large warehouse of instruments with an acoustic lounge so you can dibble and dabble your fingers along the strings and find your sound. We got a reasonably priced used electric guitar and amp. Employees were very friendly and knowledgeable. Id come here again.

Jake the guitar tech is such an amazing guy!! He is so unbelievably helpful and sweet. He made my ukulele sound so rich and delicious! Can’t recommend him higher, give that dude a raise.

We started lessons here pre-Covid and were pleasantly surprised! Staff was always so helpful and kind. Visited a few times during Covid and still pleased with customer service. As soon as they were able to offer in-person lessons we were notified but never pressured. Andrea in lessons has always been professional and kind.. and still is. Looking forward to resuming lessons here when it fits our budget again.

Clay is a good guy. He has a mullet cant miss him. Real down to earth and honest. Also did I mention he looks like The guy from Pineapple Express who got beat with the telephone haha

Let me start off by saying, Hi my name is Alexander! I recently have changed my home shop from the Artesia Location to now the one here at Pico. I walked in on 4/7/21 to purchase a new guitar, Which I will be honest, I may have an addiction when it comes to new gear, When I walked in the door, and walked in 4/8/21 and purchased a new Shure SM7b Mic and Cloudlifter The staff were so friendly. Everyone was a great help. One staff member in particular, Willy! He helped me make a decision on a couple of items, and is just a down to earth dude! Their selection on gear is insane. They have organized sections for all your needs and they will not deliver short on making sure you are happy. I know I tend to buy something then want something more and end up having like 4 transaction but everyone is patient and loving. So far this store is now my go to store. Hands down best Guitar Center in Los Angeles county. thank you to all the staff at guitar center and a huge thanks to my dude willy! Keep on bringing the thunder my bro!

Excellent service. They tested the equipment that they rented to my employees before completing the transaction. This is huge because other Guitar Centers from which Ive coordinated rentals from have not tested the equipment, or have given me difficulties when Ive asked.The employee tasked with helping us was knowledgeable on the different options available as well.

Ive enjoyed my relationship with them since moving out here since 2014 from purchasing instruments to having my instruments and new instruments adjusted and repair! They like some of my instruments so much they were asking me questions about how I acquire them ! Theyre great !

I called in to find out if they had the item I was looking for. I said it clearly and double checked. After I drove out of my way to go and purchase the item it turns out they did not have the item in stock. It made me waste a trip to this store. Total waste of time. Now to buy online instead.

One of the employees (Andrew) really helped me to understand exactly how to set up a mini vocal studio. He took me through all the mics and interfaces they had and any accessories I needed and matched some online competition with regards to pricing which I really appreciated. Look forward to going back and super grateful for their expertise and help. Jeremy the manager also helped me out with a return when I had to go back.Long lines to be expected as they cant have too many people in store. But sanitizer and gloves on deck before entry and they make a list of everyone who enters which is smart!

I ordered a curbside pickup of a DJ console that was supposed to be in-stock according to their site. Day two of waiting I get a call from a rep checking that it was a legit purchase. Got a tracking number. Item was then shipped to the store and arrived on a Wednesday. I wasnt sent the go-ahead to pick it up until late Friday. The whole waiting for something advertised as in-stock, then knowing that its sitting there waiting to be processed was very painful considering it was a gift. But instead of 2 stars, three because corona.

They didnt have my in store pickup order after a week so we drove there, waited for an hour to get in, then couldnt get what I wanted. Manager told me Id have my order canceled when it came in and it would be refunded, but two weeks later, Im still dealing with this mess and got another email today saying my order was picked up. Guess I need to call the customer service line since nobody answers the store line. Fantastic. Never again.

I’ve been here a few times and the space itself is amazing. Huge selection on two levels. The sales people are very nice, but kind of spaced out. Seems to take a long time to just check out. But despite that, I would recommend stopping in, even if just for the experience.

Ive been shopping at the guitar center for many years, it was time for my son to get his first guitar I introduced him to the guitar center on pico in west LA he bought a nice breedlove guitar a very nice beginner guitar. When he got it home I played it . The strings needed replacing and the action was too high. I took the guitar back offered to buy the strings and asked if they would please set up the guitar. I was told if it was very simple they may not charge me their technition wasnt there and they wouldnt let me leave the guitar I would have to take off work again to see if they were willing to adjust the action on a guitar we had just bought. Guitar center just lost a long time client and a new musician just getting started. You need to learn how to take care of your customers old and new.

I went there to pick up a speaker for curbside pickup. I arrived really early before my pickup time, so I went in and the manager Jay took care of me and got me my speaker. What a rock star!

Guitars are works of art. Because of size, you Might be better off shopping at the sunset location. I went in here to look for a flying V guitar, and they didnt have not one in the house. . So some things that you might want might not be here, but for the most part, this is a great store.

I’ve been to this center a few times. Staff is friendly and most are pretty knowledgeable and helpful. The bathrooms are pretty gross though. Didn’t appear as if they’re ever maintained during working hours. Ample public parking and easy to find and get into the location.

This place is HUGE! The staff let you enjoy testing out your ideal instruments, and are not at all pushy. They stand ready to assist, and give you space to find what you want. I had a great shopping experience here.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the store selections are quite impressive across the spectrum of instruments and pro gear. The new prices are on the steep side though, considering the buying power the chain has. There are a few used items that have decent prices, plus a good return policy.

Good Customer service the staff Members are really knowledgeable and helpful. They have really good deals online and let you know when they have good deals in store and online. They provide discounts all you have to do is give them your e-mail.

Retail is alive and well and its thanks to Buddy and the rest of the crew at Guitar Center. I came in looking for a karaoke system on Friday evening 45 minutes before closing clearly along with a rush of several other customers and I needed a lot of attention. The guys did a great job of managing a wide array of questions and getting each one of the customers attention to minimize the wait. For me, I came in thinking I wanted a Karaoke machine, but, Buddy was able to direct me to a rental speaker and a mixer and microphone with all of the cables and stands. He showed me how to connect my iPhone and microphone and into the mixer and set up all the settings on the speaker and mixing board. With his instructions, I was able to get the system set up and tested at home within minutes. Again, despite the late hour, the gentleman who helped me load the gear into my car was extremely professional and friendly. The party we had was a huge success; the mixer and the 1000W speaker was truly impressive and all had great fun dancing and singing. Thanks Guitar Center and your awesome team!

I came in just to get a pack of strings and waited 20 minutes for someone to help me, another 10 for the guy running the register to figure out how to ring up the customers in front of me, and then another 5 while he tried ringing me up on a machine that was broken. I left with no strings as Im confident that shipping on Amazon will be faster than service here.

The guys were effective in my search for pieces for a drum set. Also theyre knowledgeable about the subject and help find answers for another problem that I had regarding the drum set.

I have always had a good experience going to any one of the guitar centers in LA. Whenever my guitarist and I need to get some upgrades to our gear this is the place. Anybody that is working in the drum section is always kind and helpful when giving me some assistance when choosing an item. There is always the risk of the person being condescending towards you because they are more advance or know more about the instrument because they have been playing since birth. But luckily that is not the case. I have been playing for a while and I am always learning something new, trying to find new sticks, or find a new perspective on playing. I know my guitarist has never had an issue because we keep coming back. If you are in the area and you need new gear or you are thinking of starting to play, this is not a bad place to start.

I had 2 guitars that needed setup badly. One of them was a guitar I had made in China, which was a beautiful guitar to look at, but not so much to play. My good friend recommended to bring them to Roman at this Guitar Center so he could work his magic. I thought it would be a long shot (I drove almost a hundred miles from home, so it was literally a long shot) but I took a chance. Sure enough, Roman did such an excellent job on them both! Now they both play so well and sound how they should. Roman is literally a miracle worker to me, and worth every penny. Thanks, Roman! Ill make sure to bring all my guitars to you from now on.
