Service by the skinny waiter with far too much after shave was terrible, non existent. Good job for him the restaurant charges 20% service charge on ALL tables.Short ribs were luke warm when they came out plus way too salty.Nice courtyard but thats about it! I disliked this place and would not recommend it at all!
Food was delicious, service not so much, which was extra annoying because they added 20% gratuity fee in advance.. we ordered the salmon belly sandwich and the waiter asked us if we would like fries or salad with the sandwich, without telling us it’s an extra 6$. When we got the bill and asked about it he said he asked if we want to “add”, but he should have said it’s extra money.Ended a great meal with a bad vibe, which ruined it a bit.
The Pantages Theater is just 3 blocks away, so we came to the Running Goose for lunch on their patio before the matinee. We were a party of 6, and everyone enjoyed thier food, and the service was good. They offered both the Lunch and the Dinner menue at 12:30pm. I had the Duck and Heirloom Tomato Salad. Both were delicious. I would definitely come here again, especially if I had an event close by.
Had a great light meal at this restaurant. Reasonably priced wine, three appetizers and a salad. Everything was excellent! Highly recommend the lamb chops, kales salad, and the shrimp. Lovely service in a very cute outdoor courtyard. Only negative is we had to ask for an ice bucket for the wine, but as soon as we did it was brought immediately.
The menu is absolutely random and incoherent but strangely delicious. May come again? Very cozy spot.
You can tell youre in for a good experience just by the smell when you walk in. The food didnt disappoint. Its not everyday you get to have lamb and duck in the same meal. They also have a nice cozy patio to top it off
So far the waiter deleted our order after not saving it on the computer and we’ve been waiting for our drinks for over 30 minutes, also out of water now…. Finally got our food and drinks and OMG this entire menu is delicious!! If it weren’t for the initial bad service on the part of a new server this would have been 5 stars!
Not much to look at from the street but the patio was nice and would be fun at night. Food was excellent and service wonderful. Would enjoy coming back. The cactus and beet tacos to die for. Loved it!
The food was alright. It wasnt as great as I expected it to be based on the reviews. Our group had ordered the short ribs, churros, gnocchi, salmon burger and the fettucini. We should have tried some of the others-- the food was average. Considering the price, we were expecting more. Although we had a reservation, we were seated after waiting for a bit. The service was average. The waitress only checked on us when we ordered and then when they brought the food. We had to ask for the check but I would give them slack considering that it was quite busy and they looked understaffed that night. A required 20% gratuity is already placed on the total.
Great ambiance, super flavorful and well cooked food! Ordered the Duck cassoulet, sambas and calamari. Every dish was perfect and we were stuffed at the end.
The food was excellent! All of the flavors were perfectly balanced and extremely fresh.
Great first time experience. Food quality was amazing. Atmosphere is comfortable and staff is professional.
The duck was dry and burnt. For the price of $27 I figured I’d get a sizable juicy duck leg, but that was not the case. I’m still on the hunt for a place that serves good game.
Cozy outdoor seating, the hummingbirds seemed to like the atmosphere too (we saw a couple). 🥺
Great find for our pre-show dinner. Easy walk to/from Pantages (and parking lots), lovely outdoor patio, wonderful meal. Hardworking staff with friendly attitude.
Ameeezing staffs, fast service, fresh delicious food and nice ambiance. Always a good time!!!! Ideal for small groups.Should have been a LOT more popular but glad we still have seats when we come over these days 😹
Phenomenal. Came for brunch and all the food was amazing. The benedict comes with ham - not sliced ham, chunks of ham. I thought it was actually pork belly. So, so good. The brioche toast was like a dessert. The house-made lemonade is perfect: fresh lemon flavor and not too sweet. Service was great, and the outdoor seating area is great. If it were a hotter day, I could see it getting uncomfortably hot on the patio, and they could use some fans out there. Highly recommend for brunch!
They werent too busy and the wait was still 30 mins....they only had 2 servers... took forever to get food, drinks, the bill, and a to go box. They got our bill mixed up. The gnocci with mushrooms was not good it was SO salty. Extremely overpriced. Atmosphere was nice and the bathrooms were clean.
What a fun little place! Great food great service. Highly recommend.
Holy cow the food is good here!We had all small plates - the carrot, corn, and radish tostadas, the beet quesadilla and the pork belly. Of all of that, the pork belly was the only thing I wouldnt necessarily rder again - it was good, but didnt quite stand up to the rest of the incredible food we had. The carrot tostada was unanimously our favorite, with the beet quesadilla a close second. The service was great - one server for the whole place, but still left us feeling attended and seemed personal.
This place is amazing! The service is on point and the food is delicious. We had the baked Brie and gnocchi which were both excellent. Great ambiance and dog friendly! Will definitely be back next time in LA!
Its amassing place I really want to go back specifically because of margarita who is a very attentive super professional person...
We stuck the tapas side of the menu and it was very good. Service was excellent
We had dinner there tonight and couldnt have enjoyed it more. The food was to die for and the service was even better. If you havent eaten here, youre missing out. Run to The Running Goose for an absolute treat.
My first time experience here was disappointing. The duck dish i ordered was almost 30 bucks and it was very dry. The environment was okay, but will not come for the food next time.
Came here for Sunday brunch and we loved it!Not only do they have a garden, pickle their own items, everything is sooo fresh and delicious! We tried different things and we couldnt say a bad thing about anything.-service was good, the manager was extremely nice-prices are reasonable for the quality of food-bottomless brunch mimosas! Check! The radish, corn and especially the arugula tostadas are worth trying. $3 eachThey are very light so dont expect something crazy. The salmon belly sandwich was great. Sooo much flavor. My friend ordered the duck dinner, pretty darn good.As for dessert you must try the horchata creme BruleeOverall experience was great.Parking sux cause its hollywoodI would prefer sitting outside in the garden area, its covered and peaceful
Some of the things I love about this restaurant are that the ingredients are fresh, the food is delicious, the drinks (particularly the red sangria) are amazing, the staff is super friendly, and the place is clean.I got the salmon belly burger, radish tostada, and cod churros. The burger was great. Vinegary tomatillos, slaw, seared salmon belly. Omg. So good. The tostada was crispy, and fresh. I loved it! Such a nice texture and taste!
Food was good but service unfortunately was sorry to say horrible could bot get a simple ice tea refill asked for some limes waitress repeated order never brought it offered the ice tea that I asked for half hour earlier as I was asking for check?
It seemed very overpriced and the food didnt blow us out of the water
Sangria is disgusting. The salmon is tasteless.
WOW!! This is what you say when you come here. I enjoyed this place and the atmosphere there. Nice open space and the patio. Some recommendations about the food. I highly recommend the smoked chicken with lemon dressing. Very flavorful and tasty. Also, I liked salmon with saffron crema, lime, garden herb. This was yummy!
If you havent visit the goose before, please do yourself a favor and do! Wonderful service, the guys are always attending to every single need you might have. Every guest is appreciated. Cool place to hang out by yourself and just relax. The easiest table reservation in town. Being in Hollywood does not show on the price of this beautiful places food. 10000% recommended!
Good food, nice atmosphere great service
Delicious food and very accommodating. They opened later due to adjusted COVID hours and we showed up a little early (not knowing the adjusted hours) instead of turning us away, they kindly sat us and providing excellent customer service!
Love this place!! Happened upon it while house hunting in the area and so happy I did. Very fun menu, cozy inside, nice garden with fire. Some dishes are just outstanding (gnocchi). Nice vibe that is suitable for a Date, girls night, or family dinner. Decent happy hour as well. Can get busy but seem like they can handle it.
Their tapas are amazing. I recommend the gambas and the brie.
I always have delicious meals here, and they offer gracious such warm, gracious service. I am obsessed with each of their tostadas (on the dinner menu). One of my favorite places to take out of town guests!
Four stars because I am a fan. Yay. I have my complaints, for sure, but this place is interesting, and different enough to pique the curiosity of those seeking a menu that wanders well outside the coloring lines, but keeps a foundational base of familiarity.Happy Hour: Dont rush here for this. Their house beer is $4, and another is a dollar off. A dollar. The sangria is $5, and is pretty darn good. Other than that, and a few other beverages, the happy hour is very limited, with no food offerings outside the normal menu. They are also a beer and wine only place, so no happy hour cocktails. I say dont rush, because you really wont save enough to merit the stress. Just go anytime you feel like it.Parking: They have a small lot for $10 valet parking. If you leave the restaurant after eating, and come back after wandering around, that fee goes to $15. Still cheaper than the $20 Palladium parking fee, which was where we headed for a show...Food: We tried a few things, and would like to try more, just to see.Salt Cod Churros: Not fishy, not terribly salty, and not really a churro in any sense aside from the appearance. The base is of masa, with some ground up salt cod added to the batter, so theyre more dense and filling than what you would expect from a churro. They have a nice savory profile with more subtle flavors than anticipated given the name. Of note is that mine were undercooked, with soft gooey masa down the center, and crisp set batter about a centimeter deep all around from the edges. This was off-putting. 3/5 because some were undercooked, and I know they would have been better if cooked properly.Special Grilled Zucchini: Not on the menu, but pretty good. Long slices of zucchini with a fire-grilled flavor topped with salty cotija. We both enjoyed this, but it was not very exciting. 3/5Baked Brie: I love baked brie, and wished there was more of it and less of the apricot compote. Luckily my wife preferred the fruit, so she ate that. I thought it was a nice accompaniment, but overdone. The whole cloves of roasted garlic, nice and spreadable, was a clever touch that I liked a lot. 4/5Pork Belly Pincho: Cubes of pork belly on a stick. Everything worked here, and worked beautifully, except for the peanuts. Whole peanuts either sitting on the plate, or atop one of the cubes, that just fall off etc. They were really unnecessary, but I ate them anyway. I considered ordering this again, as my wife and I both loved it, even though one of the cubes was basically a cube of tasty fat. Nice texture, density, and flavor. 5/5.House Beer: a basic pilsner that pleasantly washed things down.Sangria: I hate sangria, but liked this. My wife ordered it, and then a second. Like a Pom sangria with a few dark berries floating on top.Service: Extremely friendly and upbeat, and very welcoming.
Dont let the strange name for you. The food was very tasty the price point was right and the service was excellent. My only complaint was the proximity of the seating was a little awkward if you want to call that awkward. Outside would have been nice but it was too cold. Other than that I would definitely go back again well worth the value!
Ive been here just few days ago and Im totally amazed with the service that they had given. It was fast and brilliant. I like their the Rack lamb for it was tender, juicy, savory and well seasoned. when it comes with their crews, they were awesome and expert. I just wish they could expand the place a little more so that it will look even nicier. All in all it was a great experience and thank for the opportunity. This place was highly recommended.
The food was all phenomenal. I ordered the short rib. It was so tender and flavorful with a hint of spice. I was also able to try the burger and quinoa salad. All of it had so much flavor and I cant wait to go back!
Excellent food, wonderful preparation.Enjoyed a fabulous meal at this restaurant that looks like a hole in the wall from the outside, but has inside and large patio seating. Inventive food preparation and choices, well prepared.
We had the tomato salad and the gnocchi and they were absolutely STELLAR. Truly delicious. Glad we took a chance here. The staff was also really nice (not fake annoying nice). Overall, we loved our experience here.
This little noodle spot looked amazing as I walked by and was not disappointed. Awesome atmosphere, cool vibes, great music, and the food was amazing. I had some noodles with bbq pork on top that were fantastic. I would definitely recommend going there.
First time with friends. Found out no hard liquor, but wine and beer. Sangria not bad tho! Food had good flavor. Menu decent. Value excellent.
Found this place on Yelp and found the menu to be quite interesting so decided to visit. Its not a very big place but they do have both indoor and covered outdoor seating. The food was flavorful and good. Both drinks and service were good as well.
Best food ever! The burgers are amazing along with their home made fries and the delicious desserts! Amazing service 😀
Great value for money. One of the best reasonably priced restaurants in LA. Gambas, short rib, and bread pudding are particular favorites. 4.5 stars.
I live close so frequent often! Love this place the cuisine is divine, the atmosphere cool vibe and very chill. The service impeccable...

Tease your taste buds with some wicked good appetizers, or go straight for one of their yummy fried seafood plates or platters! A must-try; their authentic lobster rolls served the real way. Or go for their award-winning New England clam chowder! One spoonful and youll be back. Dont forget dessert! Come into Chowder Heads and enjoy an authentic New England Seafood meal.
What a nice surprise when we randomly discovered this restaurant! The food is awesome, they have several options for vegetarians/vegan and original menus (i had a cactus salad). They grow their own veggies in a garden located near the terrace, pretty cool! We liked the atmosphere and the waiters were very professional and attentive. We were very happy to eat healthy food after 2-week road trip! Please go try this place, you wont be disappointed.
Hey google, this is a (great) restaurant, not a grocery store. Cant go wrong with their sandwiches, carrot fries, gnocchi, bread budding, vindaloo, you name it. Great vegetarian and carnivore options, and friendly service.
Excellent eclectic menu. Intimate seating. Charming serving staff. Do yourself and a dinner date a favor and try them. The smell of smoking potatoes greeted us on the way in, right before the wait staff gave us a warm welcome. It was a great first impression. And nothing from that point was any less inviting.
This place is more restaurant than grocery store. Food is very creative and well executed. Staff members are friendly and knowledgeable.
We went there for lunch. The food was delicious, the service was very good and the atmosphere was great including the music. I had the deviled eggs, highly recommend it.
Service was excellent, drinks were delicious, and the patio was perfect with a nice little fire to keep us warm while surrounded by nature.
This restaurant was so nice. The organic food is tasteful and the waitresses are were nice. If you happen to be in Hollywood Boulevard, go eat there. There is a small garden that give a good ambience.
Love this place. Cute outdoor seating area, and you have to get the salmon belly burger.
Great food and atmosphere! We came for Mother’s Day and I also enjoyed the bottomless mimosas! We will definitely be returning.
Smash open this Golden Goose and enjoy fresh tasty victuals with great service. Loving the kale salad with chic and shrimp - delicious. Week two of my Keto diet and this place just rocked my no carb and sugar world. The outdoor deck with 70s Joni Mitchell soothes ya meal into the next cocktail.
One of the best restaurants in Los Angeles. We are regulars at this hidden gem ❤thank you all for your always exceptional service and beyond words cuisine. This is a dining experience not to be missed. Worth every penny, every time
Went there for an early dinner before a concert Service was great. Food was good. I would go back in a heartbeat.
Pretty great. Just stopped in for drinks and a small bite. Corn and carrot tostadas were suprisingly delicious. Weekly rotating beer was great too
Their patio is the perfect place for a nice quiet lunch off of busy Hollywood Boulevard. I would recommend the beet burger, Ive never had anything else quite like it.
Everything was amazing!!!The food- the food was amazing. This place isnt too fancy, but the food is still awesome. The outside was welcoming, and I wont forget to mention the amazing waitresses- they were incredibly nice!!! They were welcoming, smiled, and didnt give me sarcasm and act like I owed them something, like other waiters and waitresses I know. The dessert was something Ive never tasted before, and I havent had such a good meal in a long time. The food was very filling, and I have no complaints.m obsessed with this place. Contemplating moving to Hollywood so I can be a regular here. The atmosphere was so cute, sit outside and enjoy their amazing patio. Greenery, lights, fire pit.. you dont even feel like youre on a busy Hollywood strip. The service was so amazing, shout out to our server Kelsey! She was so sweet and helped us make the best decisions. It was hard to not order everything on the menu but we got darn close.Tomato Tostada - WOW heirloom tomato jam... delicious.Corn Tostada - YES. Get it. The tostadas are nice and small. Perfect little bite.*Beet Quesadilla* - our favorite from the night.Gnocchi - loved the mushrooms and kaleShort Rib - our least favorite, a little dry but if you shred it into the juices its still tasty*Carrot Fries* - if these are the market veggie GET THEM. youll never think of carrots the same.Gamba - shrimp in this yummy chili oil.. so good*Bread Pudding* - best bread pudding Ive had. ever.Pretzel Tart - a chocolate lovers dream Hands down, my favorite place in the area. Its my husband and my go-to restaurant when we are in the area. Our loves and must haves from Running Goose includes:1. Corn tostadas2. Arugula tostadas3. Any of the salads on the menu4. Masa Gnocchi5. Duck ConfitEach of these items contain flavors that make my mouth happy and wanting more. Some of the things I love about this restaurant are that the ingredients are fresh, the food is delicious, the drinks (particularly the red sangria) are amazing, the staff is super friendly, and the place is clean. Some recommendations (in addition to the above food items ) include:- make reservations (especially if its the weekend) as it gets really busy- parking can be challenging if you dont want to valet your car next to the restaurant. Options that I found during the times I have visited were street parking or parking in one of the pay lots that are dispersed on that street.- the place is pretty noticeable when driving but another tip I found helpful was that it is on the opposite side of hotel cafe. This place has always been extremely consistent with its quality, service, prices and vibe. But this specific night Jasmine and the rest of the team did something almost close to impossible: accommodate 13 gays as a last minute reservation and have not a single one of the guests complain or make a comment in the entire time. The level of willingness to help and make it the best experience for us went above any expectations. Thank you guys for making our night, again, Jasmine is your girl! Not only shes the most attentive, shes also the kindest, quickest and extremely knowledgeable!Well this was a hidden gem lol. We live so close to this place we should walked here. I had made reservations because from what I saw in the reviews, I thought it would be busy. But anyways we get here and its DEAD on a Saturday? We were questioning our decision. Mind you the Bf wanted tapas, he had just returned from being in Spain and all of a sudden he just wants tapas ... First time here and everything was delicious! We had the burger, homemade fries, corn tostada, arugula tostada and for dessert chocolate peanut butter and bread pudding ! And WOWExceptional service to top to everything
Not quite sure what all the excitement about this place might have been. The hamburger tasted like something I might have gotten in the school cafeteria. The french fries were good. We had shrimp gambas which did have potential but we had to add salt to give it flavor. The bread that was served with it was not good. Very mediocre bread rather than good crispy dipping bread. The quinoa and beet salad with tasty. The bathroom was a total mess with paper towels all over the floor.
Always love coming here when I am in hollywood. The Sangria pitchers are always a must when you come here in a group. Its such a good deal and the red sangria is so delicious. This place is really good!! Bf and I came here for the first time and ordered the short ribs and salmon burger as a main entree wirh arugula and corn tostada as starters. For drinks the bf had a sour German beer from their rotating sour beer selection (too bad we forgot to get the name of the beer, it was also good). We did a Yelp reservation for 2 at 8p and came on time. Lots of folks also did reservations as when we arrived the front lobby was busy. We had to wait 10 min. prior to seating, but no big deal. 10/10 I recommend sitting outside! The ambience with LED lights, 80s-90s music, and plants everywhere completed the experience.Hostess and server were friendly and parking is almost always at a nearby parking garage for a $10 flat rate as long as you leave before midnight ($20 after midnight). You can get lucky with meter parking sometimes. The location of the resturaunt is on Cahuenga with Vine and Sunset as parallel streets. Its a nice place to eat and sightsee afterwards if you have a date, out-of-towner, or just want to stroll. This place has some tasty grub. The pork belly was so moist and crispy. It would totally make you drool for more. The lamb tagine was so moist, and tasty that I slurped that plate down in seconds. Do your self a favor and go here. Wonderful spot in Hollywood. Great food and nice courtyard. Great pre theater dining. Ill definitely return. If nothing else, come for the patio / garden during sunset for a chill and calm vibe. AND absolutely get the Vegan Vindaloo. I am NOT a strict vegan by any means, but this dish could convert me. Just incredible. This place reminds me of some of the great rustic farm to table places in Napa / Sonoma.Great laid back vibe, high quality fresh ingredients. We lived in Central America, so we were looking forward to this upscale take on traditional Central American food. The appetizers were a home run. The salted cod churros were wild. Dinner was great the duck was the best. The sauce in the short ribs was very rich, but I ate it all. The outdoor rustic look was great. I would have like a spirits option, but the wine was good. Overall, it was very nice.Yes, Yes and YES!I was blown away by my meal at Running Goose. The place is really cute (most of the seating is in their outdoor patio) and their menu manages to please every one: Meat lover, vegetarian, gluten free and vegan. The starters portion are really small which means you can indulge with a 3 course meal without fearing of feeling full after the first dish. The produce are really fresh and the recipes inventive and creative. The vegan carrot taquitos were so surprising.Prices are really affordable. The Tostada starters are at $3 and the main in the $12-15 range.I am already planning my next visit so I can try the rest of the menu. Tried about 7 dishes here. The overall feel was--i want to come back again. Most dishes were pricey so if you are coming here bring your credit card. The white sangria was delicious! Even my mom who doesnt like alcohol said she would order one next time. The first dish, the cactus salad was on point with the smokey flavors. I was sold on the first bite! The remaining dishes: beet quesadilla, duck confit, pork belly appetizer, shrimp gumba, salmon burger, beef burger, and bread pudding. All good, the only thing would be the duck confit to be served with bread on the side, super delicious.Only sad part is how everything in LA is--parking. Bring some cash for valet or look for street parking.I do want to try the churro next time! The food is amazing. Love the ambiance! I wish it was warmer because the patio looked so inviting! The waiter was so nice, friendly and hilarious and helped my friend, who was in a minor car accident on the way to meet me here, feel so much better!
I really enjoyed the variety of items on the menu here and the food was delicious. I thought the prices were reasonable and the staff were great as well. Cant wait to eat here again.
Delicious light foods and attentive service. Great for a date night!

The food was very filling, and I have no complaints. They do good food here, period. On the way to see a play, my bestie and I looked up the local eateries and thanks to yelp we found this gem of a restaurant.Keith was our waiter and took very good care of us. I was impressed witH his knowledge and comfort ability with the menu. He made suggestions and encouraged us to try the dine la menu. I happily obliged him.Outside seating in the evening is suggested as the heat lamps are nice and warm and add for views of the fireplace and just overall feel good vibes. They harvest their own garden which you can tell via the freshness of their ingredients. I had a tart that was divine for my appy. Not sure if this is solely on the dine la menu but Id go back just for the tart! Our meal consisted of duck confit for me and salmon belly sammy for her. We cleaned our plates. Both delicious. Admittedly i was hesitant about baked beans bc I, as a practice, dont eat them. Namely bc I, as a practice, do not like them. Lol. But their baked beans are more like a bean stew and flavored almost like a chili. Yum.If we were to have any critique, my bestie says she would have appreciated a side to her Sammy. Which came solo. A side salad or some roasted potatoes. And for the duck confit, I wanted some type of bread to sop up the saucey goodness of the baked beans. Thankfully, Keith happily obliged me with some sourdough bread. Which, too, was yummy.I will undoubtedly be back, in fact, Im quite curious about their brunch digs.Im obsessed with this place. Contemplating moving to Hollywood so I can be a regular here. The atmosphere was so cute, sit outside and enjoy their amazing patio. I got the duck banh mi and my friend got the burger on the recommendation of the server.Plenty of open space and the patio is quite nice, except for what was right behind my photo. At first we thought it was a garden, which wouldve been really cool, but no. As my friend put it, It looks like an area where they take the dogs to go to the bathroom. He got the kale salad which was standard and I had the lentil soup which was actually pretty tasty and perfect on a cool day.The main courses came and we were both satisfied, although its tough to call that a proper Banh Mi, flavors just arent there but the duck itseld was tasty. Fries were actually really good, but lukewarm.
Lots of tasty small plates to share. Everything is very fresh.
Would have given it 3-4 stars if I didnt get food poisoning.Food was pretty good.Atmosphere ok.Bathrooms gross.Service was quick...but a bit condescending.
Great food (lamb tostada was super tasty). Fantastic service. We loved sitting in the covered garden area in the back, bedecked with enchanting fairy lights :)
Love the staff. Lissette was amazing with helping me pick my food and knew her stuff. We will be back again soon!!!!
I really liked 3/5 dishes we ordered. I wasnt crazy about our first server, he was very monotone and didnt deliver good customer service but the female server that took over after was very kind and sweet.
