I am a big fan of this donut shop. Theyre Blended drinks such as the Taro in the matcha drinks are delicious. Ive never tried the coffee. My favorite donut is a panda donut and the blueberry crumble donut. The dough is very soft, its amazingly soft. Unfortunately the last two or three times that I visited this location was at the early morning time abou 3 to 4 am. And the same worker continues to just display a careless attitude towards any requests that we make. He never wanted to do any Blended drinks, he never had any of our favorite Donuts, such as a specialty Donuts. He only had the basic donuts. And thats fine and all. But what isnt fine is today I went and for the first time ever I noticed there were flies inside of the donut display. This is absolutely foul and disgusting. Its just obvious how much he cares about his job, he seems very impatient and he makes me and my friends not even want to visit this location. We wish that there was another location around Los Angeles. If you do visit this city and want a delicious donut go during the daytime. The daytime workers are very polite and patient, completely opposite from the early morning worker. They have so many different types of donuts and so many different flavors. Theyre croissants are also amazingly delicious.
This place is better than Voodoo Donuts!! Their decorations are very cute and their donuts taste so yummy! My favorite is the horchata donut! They even had donuts decorated for the 4th of July! The parking isnt very good but there is street parking right next to it. To order you walk up and purchase from the to-go counter.
This place rocks! The Panda donut was the absolute BEST!. Kids googled cool donut shop and this came up. Very cool place with great selection and good prices. Yum! We went to the location in Little Bangladesh. Parking (pay) on the street is necessary because the 3-4 parking spaces in front of shop are usually filled.
Their staffs are super efficient! They work so well as a team. They organize the line nicely so they know which customer comes first.OMG!!! They are super adorable & colorful! I wish I can take one of each~ hahaha!!They are very creative how they decorate their donuts. They always have special design for special holidays.Plaza parking lot. Side street residential street parking.
The plus outweigh the minus! If you like donuts, this is the spoy. The donuts and service are great. I love that they take credit card. You can do half dozen or full dozen each come with a discount. You can choose from the classic style or signature style donuts. I havent tried the coffee or other drinks, but the quality and taste for your sweet tooth are spot on. The only minus I had was parking. Small lot and street parking is metered on a very busy 3rd Street.
The flavors/ options are amazing, but also the base of the doughnut is perfect on its own (a nice light yeast doughnut). The De La Rosa (peanut marzipan) was so good, it reminded me of Brazilian paçoca crumbled on top. Can’t got wrong with the Samosa with chunks of the cookie on top. And the blueberry toaster cereal was also tasty (the most artificially flavored out of the bunch)
Their donuts are freaking amazing and the service is one of a kind. They have a delicious selection and the prices are just right.
The donuts here are so good theres so many awesome flavors. I had the cookies and cream and maple bacon and they were both so good. I really wanna go back to try all their other donuts. A bit pricey but its whats to be expected when you get a nice gourmet donut. The line was not super long but we went at like 11 PM on a weekday so theres that. Must try if youre in Korea town!
Great shop with a pretty large selection. Due to covid they are not open 24 hours like they used to be, but still they have a pretty diverse selection to choose from. I went shortly after opening and there was already a line of a dozen people. The standouts that I got were the horchata donut, cookies & cream donut and the fruity pebbles cereal bar. Also the strawberry lemonade is really good, I really recommend it. Next time I will try their boba. Parking is really tricky due to the size and shape of the parking lot so I would suggest coming early or parking on the street and walking over. The price is fair but I have had more premium level donuts before. I got a dozen and about half were almost stale, or at least not as moist and fresh as I would like. I dont eat donuts often, rather a cheat meal, so when I do I want every bite to count. I would recommend going here but I would not drive from far to do so.
Delicious and unique donut shop, I love coming here and getting the m&m donut with a vanilla latte . Best shop in LA
Aside from the long excruciating line that almost wraps around the building and the long walk due to no available parking. The donuts were presented nicely in displayed cases and offered a large colorful selection. Donuts not seen anywhere else, such as Rose flavored with dried petals, peanut butter and jelly filled donuts and much more. Prices are a little high compared to most, however well worth it.
The donuts!!! even just the classic donut is delicious you cant go wrong with any of the types. My favorite- pumpkin spice donut. Definitely would recommend worth the wait in line.
Fresh and tasty.. one of the best donuts in the area. The Staff was super nice... clean. well lite. I Highly recommend you check it out.
Their donuts are expensive, but for good reason. California Donuts is in the business of gourmet donuts and one bite is all it takes for their customers to know. The donuts are pillowy and soft while the glazes are creative and delicious. Maybe dont come here once a week, but its a nice treat once a month.
Small batch donuts made throughout the day at a shop open 24/7/365? Yes please! You cant go wrong with a California Donut any time of the day. The Snickers bar consists on a standard bar top with half peanuts and half chocolate chips...stuffed with a full sized Snickers bar inside! The Reeses donut is stuffed with enough peanut for the donut and a pb&j sandwich. These two donuts have never let me down in over 10 years.
Fresh and good variety of donuts. Pretty much the only donut shop I ever go to. Just a bit pricey for some donuts. Especially the ones that arent extravagant.
All of their donuts are tasty and they always have a great selection even after midnight when other late night shops scale back their offerings. My fave is still the croissant donut
Amazing selection of fresh gourmet donuts, quick service. Great price points. Thank you, California Donuts!
These are the best donuts ever. But theres trouble in paradise. I waited 7 minutes today to get napkins. The guy that attended me saw me standing and waiting but he didnt care. For several weeks that I have come here they have not given me napkins. Pretty bad. Its pretty clear they are told to make clients ask for napkins. So lame. Its a shame the donuts are so good. One star less.Sometimes when the ladies making donuts are not really busy, theyll make your donuts on the spot if there arent any available already!!!!Duck donuts are lame - back to the east coast please. Krispy Kreme is lame - back to wherever please, lol. Dunkin is lame - back to the east coast please.Remember how good Winchells used to be before the cheap Yum Yum plague overcame donutworld?California Donuts captures the years donuts were king - far before people started taking croissants and other such pastries seriously in this country. These donuts are not only fun and creative - they use the best dough I have ever tasted. The dough in my opinion is what makes a good donut a good donut. The toppings are also very good and show they know about what flavors need to be used - like matcha. I dont think Krispunkinduck even know what matcha is... They probably think matcha is a board game, lol.Their special donuts are not cheap so be warned. There is almost always a line and parking is absolutely atrocious in this part of town.
This place is a Los Angeles gem! Gourmet donuts in incredible flavors! And reasonably priced! Best donut on the planet! I am a throat cancer survivor who’s taste buds were affected by radiation. Long story short, my new taste buds find artificial ingredients and bad tastes extremely intense. I recently bought a couple donuts from a chain store, I had to throw them away because of the artificial taste and nasty oil they were fried in. These donuts are clean and fresh! My favorite new place to enjoy! Word to the owners “ Don’t ever change your quality ingredients and preparation! Definitely you have the market and the recipes for success!” I’m 68 and this is the best donut I have had in my life! I’m addicted and so happy I tried your product! I even plan to take some to friends out of state when I visit!
I love this place and its a big treat for my daughter every time we come here.
My experience at California Donuts was one of the worst. I will never recommend this place to anyone... definitely not for custom work. I ordered custom Cars donuts and letter donuts for a birthday party and was left disappointed. The donuts looked like they had been done by an inexperienced individual sloppy and nothing like there Instagram page. They require you to give them a week an advance notice only to turn out terrible donuts in the end, not to mention how expensive they are. Donuts were extremely dry and not fluffy at all. Save your money and just go to Krispy Creme. This place is just overrated
Really liked it. Im not biggest fan of donut places because for too many shops, being creative with donuts means filled donuts, which I hate, or a bunch of toppings, which is also not my thing. So I was surprised to find that they had a lot of original yet straightforward donuts on the menu. Had the toasted coconut and mexican chocolate ones. Both yummy. Big but not dense, fluffy but not dry, so just right. Cant wait to return for the samoa one.
Is always a great experience, been here many times and they always have great customer service!
Variety of donuts 🍩 with unusual topings such as cereal and fruit. They also have your usual old fashions and chocolate 🍫 donuts. On the pricey side (average of $3 a piece) but worth it. Donuts are fresh and fluffy and come in a box / bag
Hello....This review is gonna after about 2 years. This is the best donut shop i ever eat in USA even in the world. This review is from Bangladesh. The Owner Grandmother is very good and kind person. May you be always happy dear.❤️❤️❤️
Careful with the bees I got stunt by 2 while ordering. This place need ORKINS
Late night craving and just plain wanting to explore the city.....ended up at California Donuts. Please dont let the long line or small parking lot scare you away! Managed to park and the line went seriously fast in part because the staff at California Donuts run it so effectively. We picked up 6 donuts, an assortment. All of them such yum!Fresh, moist and full of flavor!Personally, I loved the Samoa....saved the lemonade one to enjoy tonight. My boyfriend picked one and I wish I remembered the name of it, it reminded me of a cronut with blueberry and cream cheese flavors going on.Absolutely Heavenly!!!My daughters loved the Panda donuts and how adorable they are!!! 🐼🍩Definitely will trek out there again!!!
If you are craving something sweet, you’re going to love this place! Their donuts are delicious, in both their traditional and inventive versions. Some of their creative originals are a hybrid between a more sophisticated dessert with a donut, and can also be enjoyed for special occasions and celebrations... Go ahead, take a break, and allow yourself to get back to your inner child!
I had good time there chatting with dozen police officers having dozen of Donuts together. I had to run when on of the officer mentioned something smells MJ.
Drove 20 mins to check out these cool donuts super excited pull up to the window and there’s flys around the donuts 😫🤮 will not return
I went here for the very first time in the morning to try out their donuts since I always see many people lined up during evening hours. Damnnnnnnnn. Their donuts are so freakin goodddd! I think these are the best donuts Ive eaten so far. Just on one bite, you can already feel the soft texture, sweetness, and flavor. I was really taken aback. The staffs were really friendly as well. Definitely going to come back here to try out their different doughnuts.
Didnt find all the crafted donuts I was looking for. Probably it was just to early in the morning 5:30am? Well they are deliciously good 😋.
Every time I visit Los Angeles I have to stop and treat myself. I have tried so many donuts and these are the absolute best! The texture of the dough, the right amount of cream and freshly made every day!! What else can you ask for? My favorite is the cookie monster and death by chocolate. Always friendly and fast service even when theyre long lines.
Always come here always very good to get some breakfast and some donuts
The donuts are good, even their basic glazed donuts are good. The prices are cheap, and if you get their premium donuts they’re still a good value. Big downer, parking is horrible, you better park far or be patient to find close by parking. Or come in the middle of the night, yup, they’re open 24 hours a day.
I was the first, but Im trying to do the calculations for others first. The order came much later than others
This place is awesome. They have fancy donuts! They have old fashioned donuts that you know and love. They have coffee and none donut breakfast items. This place does get busy and parking is limited. So, make sure you give yourself at least 30 minutes during peak time. The donuts in my picture were for Valentines Day but the M&Ms are available anytime. Make sure you double check your order when you pay. If you dont tell them know exactly what you want then they may add a donut with nuts!
They have the best donuts 🍩 in town.Service with a 😃 smile.
Great tasting donuts. Line can be extremely long & the wait even longer than mi dingus...
These donuts are possibly the most adorable things you will ever see- but they are definitely a sugar overload. These are better to bring to a party, to make a statement on a plate, but you will need to cut them in half or smaller and share them so you can taste all the different flavors. You definitely cant house 3-4 of these on your own, like you could with a regular donut. I got a variety- one with fruity pebbles, some bears encrusted with sugar, and a few others. They also served good coffee and thai iced tea (and I even got a tote bag because it was so darn adorable!). Overall, they have the look and make a statement- but the ones that are bears (the sugar ones that are all sparkles) are a bit to sweet for me to house more than one, so if you wan something to eat and enjoy with you coffee- go with ones with less toppings. If its for a party, grab the cutest things on display and you will be the belle of the ball.
Im what they call. ( L.A olD school so Cool, )STARING 2 morrow. We r Moving next Door.Bring yo Kidz., Ill bring my kids.They. .will Bring. The rest..
Cute place for special treats and they always make cute new donuts, if you follow them in the gram, they always post the new stuff there. I think they have another location in Hollywood. My favorite is the peanut butter cup filled donut, the rose donut, the green tea, and the snickers 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤They are open 24 hrs a day too.
Everything was good except the croissant was cold on the inside.
Stopped by here during our trip to LA and nearby Korea Town and got a variety of donuts one night. We ate them the next morning and they were still tasty. They have something for everyone and we all found something we liked. I tried a bit of them all and they were all solid donuts, would definitely stop by again if were in the area.
I was really disappointed when I got their cause they discontinued the mango chamoy donut. I was so looking forward to it darn it. They have such good donuts tho I would go back that rose donut was actually good. That maple bar had a snickers in it 😀👌I hope they bring that chamoy donut back ! Fresno ca.in the house🏠
Awesome donuts. Lives up to the hype and not too too expensive for the regular donuts. Will definitely return. I got the taro, fruity pebbles, and chocolate old fashioned and they were all delicious. The donuts have the perfect texture to them.
Delicious donuts available all day everyday. Love this place.
I dont even like donuts, but this place is on a different level. You really see the art to making a great donut.
Open 24-hours with tons of signature donuts. This place, if it isn’t famous yet, sure feels like it is. Located in a small strip mall of stores, this spot is like a light for those with a sugar craving.Iconic panda donuts, unicorn donuts (this is the most expensive one, at $4.50) and all sorts of other donuts - matcha green tea, classic glazed, bear claws, apple fritters, and that Homer Simpson pink donut. DOH!I was thankful they had birthday candles. After grabbing a box of donuts for a friend’s birthday, finding candles here for $1 was the cherry on top.Get bagels here too if you want something other than a sweet treat. Free parking out front, and in the nearby neighborhood.
Some donuts are just for decoration and dont taste all that great in my opinion but every donut that I chose that I wanted tasted amazing
Donuts!! Donuts!! Whats not to love...maybe the guys smoking crack in the parking lot or maybe no one here know anything about customer service. Donuts were OK...many different kinds of Flavors. My kiddo loved the reeses..overall it good place for a sugar high
This place is always packed. I usually only get a few items in the morning. But i like the way they treat you and CS is great.
This place is amazing! Weve never had donuts like this before. And if you love cereal and donuts, this is definitely a place for you! Their iced coffee was also delicious. Fair prices for what you get, quick service and friendly staff. Expect to line up/wait as its usually very busy. Open 24/7 so its never a bad time to go! Wish we had a location here in Canada!
Seriously the best donuts in LA. Just go.
I find it hard to find A bad donut, yet the doughnuts here are made with that little extra care and its noticeable. The real deal is the egg sandwich! Its very good, ample size and great cheese 🧀.
First time here and they are among the best donuts that we have ever tried. I really recommend California Donuts to anyone.
One of LA best donut shops. They have lots of speciality donuts but I still like their classic ones the most .. Regular, Choc bar and Green tea is my personal favorite.
The best donuts ive had in a while. I ended up getting the reeses peanut butter donut&a dragons tail i believe is what its called. Freshly baked, and perfect amount of peanut butter to chocolate ratio. I definitely recommend getting donut from here.
Doughnuts are fattening but at California doughnuts you cant help but cheat and have at least one . They come in all flavors and designs ..
Bomb donuts and frapps. Best thing? Its open 24/7
Great, but quite $$$. The best ever aint cheap. Nice people & helpful
Fresh fluffy delish donuts. Cant wait to go again.
Thought they were overly sweet..not many cake donuts..Basic raised chocolate was quality...maybe their fancies and specialty stuff is better.I prefer moms
Super yummy donuts. They always taste fresh and are soft. They have a huge variety of different types of donuts. I had the coconut one and it was truly delicious. Depending on time of the day it might be hard to find a parking spot. The place is open 24 hrs.
Great donuts, delicious drinks & friendly employees with great customer service
Decent donuts and prices, huge plus that they’re open 24hrs.Coffee is ok.
My favorite place I have ever got donuts at!! Great staff and great food! Am from MN and went to LA for a trip. Ive seen California donuts on TV so many times though out the years and had to go there! I loved it! Nothing compares to these donuts!
