A bit of a busy but efficient pLce to eat. Waiter took his time to explain the menu and offer suggestions. Quality of the food was great, although Id skip the meatball sliders. Physically they dont work and youll wind up just eating it with a fork and knife. There seems to have been some kind of pastry case near the front for those with a sweet tooth or one of the local professionals working in the area to grab and go about their busy day.
This restaurant has a really cool atmosphere. The cool night air comes in through an open screened garage door. It has an open kitchen and a really nicely laid out bar area and even a little bakery in front. The pizzas were just the right size and really good. We had an issue where they accidentally put truffle oil on our pizza instead of olive oil and they very quickly replaced them and took one off the bill. The service was friendly but it gets crowded and for us was a bit slow. But the nice atmosphere and company can always solve that. Overall, it was pretty great and well probably look for a reason to come back soon.
Really great pizza that is made to order and visible from the open kitchen. Good atmosphere and would be good for small groups up to 4 or so, but really suited well for two. Staff was very friendly and casual enough to feel comfortable. Would really recommend for fresh pizza and just a great place to relax and talk, while there is music, its not loud enough to drown out conversation!!
First, I made a reservation online through their service SeatMe. I received a confirmation email after making the reservation, then received a reminder email the morning of my reservation, then received a call from the Press Club confirming my reservation, AND THEN received a text confirming my reservation. Overkill?
I don’t typically eat in hollywood area. It’s just a trashy neighborhood, despite it being the “cultural” center of Los Angeles. This place was pleasant though. The food was tasty. The service attentive. It’s felt like a cool little respite from the mess outside, with yummy food. I enjoyed it.
Clean restaurant, affordable price, scrumptious food, and drinks. Well, this restaurant is heaven. The food that they served was so delicious. The pizza was a so damn great. The place was so spacious. The setup of the place was so relaxing and warm. This place is perfect for a fancy date.
This restaurant is great for pizza! They have a tremendous service that you can really appreciate, and the taste of their pizza are really good. I really enjoy the food, and thanks to these guys for making it so delicious! Great work!
I ordered their Pepperoni here and asked to deliver it to our office. It was my only pizza parlor for a year now. Even birthdays or simple dinner, we always had their pizza. We love the crunchiness of their crust, and it was not oily, too! My office mates love their pizza. Try them, guys! They also had a physical store where you can dine with their best pizzas.
Ill go back again and again. Their Deep Dish Pizza is surprising at first, but so delicious! Probably the best pizza I ever had.Its most of the time crowded (average of 30min to 60min waiting time) but its worth it. Oh, yeah, dont forget to bring cash, they are cash only :(
This is my second time here and I will definitely be coming back! I tried their brisket sandwich this time and its absolutely delicious! Packed with flavor and well worth the money ! Their pizza has been great both times and Ive had nice cashiers both times. Im happy that theyre expanding & hope theyre around for years to come !
Best pizza in town. Have to try. Great service. Unique selection I had the peperoni pizza. And loved it. Will try something else next time. First timmer
Learn about this place threw a flyer the San Daniele look amazing on there decided to order did pick up, parking is tricky they are located at a busy intersection so did park a block away but worth it, I did change one ingredient the fresh tomatoes for dried... just preference which definitely was good choice it was amazing crunchy but soft so tasty will be back soon!
Welcoming atmosphere and enough variety on the menu to satisfy the majority of patrons, young and old. Friendly staff and delicious pizza (pepperoni) with medium thick crust easily chewed. Served hot and appealing to the eye. Reasonably priced. Would give 5 stars but overheard staff discussing some personal concerns best left for non-working environment.
Great ambiance and pizza! My meatball was fantastic and my pizza was good, after it was done right. Manager brought the pizza over the second time and didn’t introduce herself. The water bottle had build up on it and warm. It seems as our server was the only one in the restaurant. She touched our table three times, but was overwhelmed with a party of 16. Other than that great location and food. Will think about returning.
Not as fun as it used to be. I actually had a 20-person birthday party here one year, which they wonderfully accommodated. The food was delicious and the service pretty terrific. But its a bit offputting lately. Not as comfortable and the food quality not quite the same. Bar staff can be unfriendly at times. I used to visit regularly. Not so much any more.
This place was super chill! We stopped by during happy hour and tried the house-made potato chips and an apple oat cookie and they were both excellent. Really liked the atmosphere and also sat across the bar from Michael McMillian which is neat.
Delicious pizza is ready to serve you!!! This place has a yummy pizza and they have friendly staff great management because they quickly assist us if ever we need something. I love it!! Great job guys!!!!
Best Pizza in town! A little pricey but, the personal Margarita pizza is amazing
This is a great place! The atmosphere is nice. They have some unique dishes here. I would highly recommend their Brussels sprouts. Everything tastes amazing, those are just a favorite. A little pricey but the quality, portions & customer service warrant the little extra money.
Im a poor student, so their dinner and lunch prices tend to keep me away during those hours, as theyre up there, but not unreasonable for the quality of food which they provide. It is a wonderful place for a date night out. However, I absolutely adore Stellas brunch. They serve it both Saturday and Sunday, and the prices are fantastic. They change their menu each month, and the usual brunch items are around $10. They come with a cup of their incredible soup of the day and the brunch portions are quite generous. If you get an order of a dish that includes waffles, it can be quite sweet. To get the best of all worlds, my wife orders the waffle dish, I order a savory dish, and then we split it half and half. We always leave happy.Their parking lot is sizable, the restaurant is comfortable and not overly loud when busy, and the staff is generally prompt and friendly.
Sat at the bar and had amazing service. - BEST garlic bread Ive ever had.... so good, I want it as my birthday cake :) Caesar salad was hands down the best Ive ever had. Yummy thick dressing, fresh lettuce, perfectly cooked croons, and fresh anchovies. Very tasty with strong flavors. Spicy marinated olives were so flavorful and meaty Mushroom Pizza - loved the toppings but the crust wasnt amazing. Overall pizza was average but everything else was amazing! I am still dreaming about it.
The food and service were ahead of my expectations. I really loved the environment of this restaurant. Fantastic place to take my family out for dinner.
Outstanding location for tasty Pizza. I give this place double thumbs up. Service is consistently great. Prices are decent. Reminds me of a restaurant in Philadelphia that I enjoyed.
LITERALLY THE BEST PIZZA. The only bad part is trying to wait to eat it while it cools down. So much cheese and the crust is the best. Dont forget to get a salad. **Drooling over the surplus amount of cheese on top and ranch dressing**
Cool place to chill, have a slice of pizza or dessert, or hang out with friends. The ambiance is great. Very modern set up also. Very nice.
Amazing artisan pizzas with a rotating menu. Many ingredients are locally sourced. Great place to hang out, have a meeting, or a date. Good for large groups. Theres usually a wait during peak dinner hours.
Stella Barra Pizzeria likes onions. Lots and lots of onions. While I like onions, but both pizzas we got had far too many onions on them for my liking. Both the deep and thin crust pizzas are decent, but definitely not the best pizza around. I surprisingly liked the wings, and Im not a wing girl.
Very good pizza. and appetizers too. full bar stocked with wine. liquor and craft beer. great seating in the front. large comfortable couches. seating at the bar as well. or high bar stools and tables. pizza and other menu items to go as well. fast service. friendly servers too. convenient parking at the Arclight parking structure.large television monitors with sporting events on. overall this is a very fun and entertaining atmosphere to bring a large group for fine dining and cocktails. reservations are not required. recommended after 5 PM as it get busy and maximum wait time to be seated is up to 15 minutes without a reservation.
Good pizza and love the vibe that this place has. Their happy hour is really good too.It can get a bit difficult to know who works here as theyre all in regular clothes with no name tags or anything, but I dont mind this... Never had an issue with customer service.
This place is fire. That is all. Oh also this spot is CASH ONLY.Located in the mission district which every Uber driver said was safe but it felt a little sketch. Haha but it was no problem Pizza was so good. Great late night slice as I believe they are open until 3 or so. I was there pretty late.
Good drinks, delicious pizza, good service at the bar. Calamari was alright. Cute and open type place with a square bar in the middle. Would go again.
Great atmosphere. Inspiring original pizzas with nice wine. Friendly service to boot and no problem with boxes when we could not finish our pizzas
So far... This is the best pizza place on Polk in CA that I know of so far.... The service is pretty good and the pizza is reasonably priced. Went here before seeing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (gotta have pizza right?)
They do not have the same menu as their site. We were at Stella Barra many times but this time We felt like sliding down.I had updated my review and I am happy to say that Stella Barra is back to what we used to like!!! GREAT JOB guys!
Pizza options are new and interesting! Very tasty! Fun cocktails, too, and staff is always nice and helpful!
Great pizzeria in LA! Arguably the best, although several others can easily stake a claim. Nice indoor seating area, friendly staff, and unique pizzas. The thin-crust pizzas are well-done with fresh ingredients. Easy parking behind the restaurant off Ivar.
You cannot go wrong here. Ive only been twice but the service is great and the food is delicious. I think its hard to get a table but thats also because its good food and a happening place.
Dude, I love this spot!! Food is delicious and the service is fast. I highly recommend it.
Lively vibe. Good, freshly made pizza. Large salads. Great service. The shaved mushroom pizza was delicious.
I stopped by Friday 5:30pm for happy hour. Nice bar and atmosphere. But bartender said only a few items and house beer was included in the happy hour. It is a can of beer that says House Beer on it!!No food items on happy hour. I did not get pizza because I didnt want to crash before starting the happy part of the happy hour. there was only 10 diners at tables and 10 drinkers at the bar. I think if they promote the happy hour this place could get packed. Especially since they have a few couches like a lounge area in the corner. Anyway, I am going to the sushi place next door. they have $3 beer and $3 sushi till 6:30.
This is a very cool place! Their happy hour is one of the best in Hollywood. The bartenders and servers are super personable which makes the experience that much better.
Visiting from Out of town and the food, mix drinks and service were both great. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent pasta and though this shop is more of a take-out place, I find the pasta presents better and is more enjoyable when I eat it there.
Awesome pizza! Guy serving the pizza needs a shot of personality. Definitely recommend. .... worth the walk or drive.
It was happy hour when I went there, so I ordered chips with Gorgonzola dip, buffalo chicken and a huge meatball. Everything was so tasty and affordable! I am definitely coming back again.
This place is amazing!! Came to LA from NY and this pizza is to die for. The flavor is light and the crust is soft. The classic margarita is fantastic. Also had the baked goat cheese appetizer and dipped the pizza crust in it!! I am planning to go back again before we leave
You can taste the quality in their ingredients. Their hummus has a citrus flavor that pairs well with their fresh bread. The staff is friendly and very attentive.
This place is delicious! I have been twice and both times they have been great. Their food is really fresh and their garlic wings are fantastic!
Pizza... very delicious. I wish there were more places like this around town. Next time Ill be back with my friends. It has a good interior. Similar to a place in Denver I loved.
Definitely the best place to eat pizza in L.A ! Cheap and delicious. Moreover the service was super fast
Stella Barra hosted us for a work dinner and they were so responsive to our needs. Great menu to select from. The salads, pizzas, desserts were all incredible! I’m still thinking of that burrata and the creme brûlée cookies!
My first time to Stella Barra. WOW! Menu was simple to read. Pasta dishes were just perfect. The atmosphere in this place was simply delightful. We were on our way to the Bowl for a show and saw the sign in the window and had to go in. Service was just great and the waitresses were very knowledgeable about the menu.
Great service, great food, great times! Stella has the best thin crispy crust pizzas, with the right amount of soft chewiness on the end. Favorites are prosciutto & egg, sausage and fennel, specialty meat lovers and goat cheese & bacon. Favorite starters are the brussel sprouts and kale caeser salad. The fast service was even more surprising when the laid-back vibe encourages diners to take their time. No worries, no rushing, no problem.
The pizzas here are unusual and delicious. There are even dairy free options! Great atmosphere
Went here a few months ago with some friends whilst we were staying in the area during our honeymoon. The pizza was very good and the staff were friendly, no complaints here! If youre in the area and looking for good pizza you wont go far wrong.
This spot is excellent! Affordable pricing, considerable dishes and the staff members are regularly nice.
Came here with a Vegan friend of mine and was not prepared to be as impressed as I was! Beautiful, warm decor, super friendly wait staff and the menu is bomb! Yes, it is mostly pizza but what a selection!I ordered the Hobbs Pepperoni with extra Prosciutto and Cheese and it was so, so tasty! At first I didnt think I could finish the whole thing but it was so delicious I cleaned my plate. The drinks here were awesome as well! I had the Italian Margarita and my friend got the Almond Mule. Both drinks were super refreshing, tasty and strong!I will definitely be coming back here for more pizza-ey goodness!
Weve ordered for delivery from here quite a few times via Doordash, Postmates, Caviar, etc. The food from here is always good. Sometimes, the delivery takes a while, but thats out of the restaurants control when using a delivery service. The Hobbs pepperoni pizza, meatballs and shaved mushroom pizza are all really good. The pepperoni is a little spicy; thats how we like it. We usually add sausage to the mushroom pizza...that makes it delicious.
Great food and staff. Food comes out as soon as it is finished cooking. Awesome taste
This place has the best pizza in town. Really delicious. The service was ok the food outstanding.
I mainly go here for the cookies, which I cant recommend enough! The Rice Krispy chocolate chip cookie is quite honestly the best cookie Ive ever tasted in my life, and I tell everyone I know about this place. The cookie is the perfect mix of crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. It has the most delicious flavor, which is accented by the addition of the rice krispies. Delicious!
Been there twice. So it must be good. Perfect after-movie dining experience.
The first time I came here I almost walked right past it until my sister-in-law pointed it out, and am I glad she did! When I first walked in I asked to see a menu because the look of it seemed pricey, and I was low on funds at the time - I was pleasantly surprised by how cost effective the place was, and it looked amazing so I figured why not? Granted, yes, basically their menu is just pizza (unless you count the sandwiches only served during lunch) but everything here, and I mean everything, tastes amazing. I fell in love with this place the first time I went. I try to go back as many times as I can. I dont make many trips out to Hollywood, but every time I do I make sure to stop by here. I tell everyone about this place, and try to bring as many friends as I can. The food is delicious (Try the burrata for your appetizer) The staff is friendly, and nice. Now when I go I try to sit at the bar, because the bartenders are always hilarious and fun to talk to. I have yet to have a bad time at this place, and I thoroughly enjoy coming here to eat and I urge you to come here as well if youre looking to have a great time.
Me and my husband visited LA during Fourth of July week and forgot about many restaurants being closed on the actual 4th. We walked around near our hotel and found this place. Got a table right away and the drinks we got were tasty. Our waiter did warn us our pizza order may take a while, which it did, but it was very delicious.
The most amazing pizza I ever had. Its so well done. The flavors pop out. Really great spot if youre in the mood for great pizza and beer. Also, their cookie desserts are amazing!
Great atmosphere, great service, stubborn soda, craft beer and what else... oh yeah the food 4/5 was some of the best pesto, pasta, pizza and garlic knots I have eaten. Not many places with an atmosphere like this anymore. I would highly recommend.
I keep thinking to myself...I need to come back here more often. Every time Ive been here, typically before movie, I think this place is cool. Its cozy, it looks cool, and the pizzas are great. I get the pepperoni hold the pepperoni. I know, sounds like a cheese pizza but its not.The only thing that might improve is maybe the young bartenders personal skills. She was very nice but I think she would do the restaurant a service if she was more focused on listening to her customers then just talking to them. when its a slow night, thats how you make your money. I get it, its Los Angeles and everyone wants to talk about their career but as a customer, I guess I want to do more of the talking. When I used to bartend, on slow nights I would fake interest if I had to. My tips depended on it
Great atmosphere, and great option. We got two gluten free pizzas and both were good, but a little too thin and salty. They have a cafe inside which is nice.
Best tasting pepperoni pizza! Spicy meatballs are excellent and very good burrata proscuito. Forgot to order salad.. Next time because well definitely be back!
Open communal floor plan. Minimal rustic aesthetic. Food spot on. Excellent happy hour deals.
Adding a P.S. to my last review as Ive been back a few times since the last (way too convenient of a post-movie spot being right next to Arclight) and there have been some really good food highlights i.e. that prosciutto and burrata is really something...probably one the tastiest Ive had (drooling as I think of it). Oh and those dang jumbo cookies...I can never help myself. Having it there, warmed up, was the perfect finale to each of our meals. And I liked how they let you split the pizzas so you can try different types. I know Ill continue coming back.
Great, great, great pizza. Not your regular cheese and pepperoni. They have some great choices that you would have never thought of. 1 pizza is perfect to share.
Place is ok, pizza had barely no meat, even though we ordered meat. Pizza lots of sauce and requires a fork to eat. Pizza is small and good for two, or even maybe one.
A favorite place for pizza. Two thumbs up for this place. Bring your appetite because portions are large. Feels like a place in Charlotte that I enjoyed visiting.
Maybe its that I just moved from New York, but I did not like my Margherita pizza at all. I also had two cocktails, both of which had far too much citrus and were not nearly as good as cocktails you could get nearby at one of the cocktail bars in the area. The physical space and ambience are quite nice though. Service was friendly. I could see myself coming back for a beer and appetizers.
Drove quite a distance to experience their cuisine. The four persons in our party ordered pizza; very artisan. Very flavorful and, the gluten-free crust is made on the premises.
Fine place for quality Pizza. One of the best spots of its kind in the area.
This is a cute place. I love the industrial design. Theres a vegan pizza, which is pretty bland. I also tried the homemade chips and they were decent.
The place plays awesome music and has a very cool aesthetic. Pizza was also delicious.
Nice, clean, casual and fun place for lunch and dinner in the heart of Hollywood. They have regular tables, bar counters as well as couches to sit and enjoy food and drinks. As the name suggests, they specialize in pizzas but they have a varied menu with nice salads, etc. Pizzas are made to order so they do take 20-25 minutes to make. My favorite is the fennel pizza though am not usually a vegetarian.
Good food, nice staff. Always a relaxed place to meet friends.
