This is the best spot for thai desserts and snacks in LA. The prices are affordable and the store is well organized. Tons of goodies here for great prices and lots of coconut and pandan flavored desserts. The parking lot has a fee but tell the attending people that you’re there for a pick up and they won’t ask you to pay.
LAs best kept Thai Dessert Secret!Authentic scratch made dessert made fresh daily and even nightly (as the muffins and coconut desserts I bought tonight were still warm!)Upon entering you will be transported to another country. When I walked in, I thought I was in a market located in an Asian province!Go anytime time of day and youll be in for a fresh and warm sweet surprise! If you like southeast Asian sweets, look no further.
🔍 I found this place hidden in “Little Armenia”.West Hollywood was so quiet I thought I was in a small village. Strange its near “Sunset Boulevard” the chaos isnt there. We ate at the restaurant next door “ “ and then went to buy dessert.🍜🍚🧄🥦🌶People if you want to eat real Thai with tea🧋 This mall is the right place in LA. The prices have increased which I regret, but the food is still good. The price went up and the portion went down, I mean the restaurant next door $$ 🔜 Pa’ Ord Noodle 3 🤷🏻♀️The dessert at Bhan Kanom Thai: There is so much variety that you can go crazy 😜I bought the layer cake - green and another dessert made from coconut milk with a green ball on the top call “Sai Sai” it looks like a pea, but its delicious). I love!
Desserts was delicious. Price are a little pricey for simple sticky rice and mango. Parking was insane and no place to park. They accepted credit cards that was a plus. I always stopped by to buy my favorite dessert sticky rice with mangoes. I also like their black sticky rice with taro it is also delicious and my favorite. The service was friendly except the rude man.
Hands down my favorite place for food in LA. I come in at least once a week and am able choose something new every time. Plenty of options if youre looking for gluten-free.
Is located about 5 minute walk from Hollywood and Western Metro Station. In the Thai town section of Hollywood. The customer service was great. Is a small little store with a lot of personality and charm. Everything is reasonable priced and taste great. Sticky rice with Taro or Banana and black bean is only $2 and so delicious. Is pandemic safe and clean with social distancing
So much variety is amazing. I never knew there were so many thai snacks.
They have a variety of ethnic desserts such as fried bananas or taro coated in a sweet batter with sesame seeds. They have other Asian snack foods that you may not see in a regular grocery store. The items change daily and run out as the night time comes around. It is a small place but good to visit after having a meal locally.
Bahn (house) Kanom (snacks) Thai, The House of Thai Snacks, is the best Thai snack shop anywhere outside of Thailand. In fact, you could make the argument that because of the diverse Thai snacks its better than most places in Thailand as well. All the classics are here, kanom krok, khao niew sangkaya, kanom pang sang ka ya...They also have a huge selection of imported packaged candies. We go Everytime we are in LA and it is always worth the trip.
Delicious traditional Thai snack and dessert.. similar jajanan pasar in my country.. all is yummy here...
We stop here every time we visit LA. Very good selections.
It is a great place to find authentic Thai dessert, but seriously there are other local shops those tastes much better. Plus, we bought over $700. But, the service we received was just lame. When we asked for missing order that we paid for. Cashiers questions us and gave us the look even when they forget to give it. I definitely question their lever of service yet again or product quality!
Great place to shop authentic Thai food
Every possible dessert and treat is in this place. Its not cheap, but it is good...and definitely different.
Little slice of heaven and home. They import a lot of Thai goodies like Thai flavored potato chips, candy, and other exotic treats. Love this place
Ln this place you can found wherever you want Asian products.ls fantastic
Great selection of Thai snacks, candy, sweet sticky rice and even chicken satay!
Really recommend the Khanom Khrok (Thai Coconut Pancakes)!! Theyre delicious! They have Thai Tea Cupcakes too! 😁
Delicious Thai market. Small. I like their dissert. The price is kinda high.
Incredible authentic Thia food. Wonderful service.
Its a little expensive but it definitely has some great authentic goods and fresh made items. I recommend stopping by if you have some money to spend.
Great variety of Thai snacks and sweets.
The only place to get mango sticky rice. If youre looking for real thai desserts this is hands down the place to go. There is no seating but thats fine. Get your stuff and go chill somewhere.
I am so so happy I got to visit this store!!!!! They had all the treats I was expecting to be there!!! I am so excited to try these treats! They also had boba tea and other savoury snacks. I will hopefully visit one day again. I came all the way from Pennsylvania. The staff were friendly and helpful and recommended things to me. Very cute small shop with a lot to give!
I love the dessert here; they have variety. Love the fried banana and sweet potatoes. I also got a box of durian here once when it was in season. This is a must try dessert place if youre ever in Thai Town.
Yummy stuff, yummy af!
Just ok food, not great but not bad. Most likely wont return. To many other Thai places in this area to try
Great Thai Dessert Shop reminds me of the Weekend Market and the MBK shopping center with all the vendors selling Thai original sweets and desserts.Grab a quick bite or take it to go..bit at least go one time to see if you like it.
I always have to stop here for fresh Thai dessert. cute and packed little shop! parking can be difficult on the street. they do have valet in the parking lot but I seem to always have a good luck with street parking every time i go!
Authentic Thai with great service
Lots of authentic Thai dessert
😁very clean, delicious Thai khanom, very friendly staff, I got 6pieces of mixed salt and sweet dessert but I taste sweet all as the server was so sweet( m Cambodian but when I reply Thai she seems surprise)..
I really loved the crepes - the salty ones are great because they are salty AND sweet, but the sweet ones are nice too! The price is good too. I also liked the sweet green rice balls.I thought the sticky rice that looked like cute flowers (made of pumpkin) was bland.Ill be back again to ask to try more sweet and salty things!
I went in there looking for snacks. They had a huge selection of deliciousness, but I couldnt buy it all because it was a lot.The part that made my visit so extraordinary was how nice and kind everyone was. Not just the people who work there, but also the other customers shopping there.
Love their fresh cooked desserts.
A lovely hole in the wall. Reasonably priced. Good service. Lots of parking at no charge.
From out of town. I was really excited t ok come here. Dessert flavors were ok. Small portions.
My favorite dessert place in LA. The taro egg pastries are my favorite... i cant even explain why I like them so much. I was vegan for 2 years before I started eating these. Im no longer vegan.
Good products. Nice workers and valet lets you park free for store visit
I absolutely love this store. I finally tried the grilled sticky rice with Taro and it was delicious ! Added them to my list of go tos which include the steamed coconut milk treats and pandan layer cake.
Packed little super market filled with Thai deserts that will make you happy. The steamed banana and rice was my favorite next to the fresh durian they sell as well. The durian was quite expensive though but very fresh.
I lived in Sukhothai in Thailand and was not expecting to find a Thai bakery here which sells authentic Thai products. I am over the moon to find this place, and drive all the way from Gardena once a week to buy sweet delicious snacks. Everything I have purchased so far has been of a high standard and I highly recommend to try their goods even if you have never had Thai sweets before.
I find some dessert. My friend recommended at Bhan Kanom Thai. I bought a lot and good taste. Some similar to Thai. And very important it clean.
Thai desserts, treats, and candies. Felt like i was back Bangkok or Chang-mai
Wonderful little place. The kanom krok is amazing. They have fresh durian which is expensive but durian is always expensive and this is California. The staff is friendly. The parking situation, however, is a whole different story. It’s a small parking lot and you are FORCED to do valet parking for $3/hr from what I gather from the horribly made sign. The valet drivers do not know how to drive. We couldn’t get back into our car because it was parked inches from the next car! Find parking somewhere else and walk here or use Lyft.
Love their thai tea and thai tea custard! Service was friendly and fast. I love to stop by here for a treat whenever Im in the area.
Give me that vegan stuff
This place has enormous amounts of thai snacks some are made in there while others are shipped from thailand itself. The place is also sculpted to look thai. The reason I gave it a 4 is because the parking is not free. Overall the place is beautiful and done nicely
Great sweets
Best Taro Boba ive ever had. No contest. Some basic stuff (brand packaged items) i would go somewhere else for as i can find it cheaper but genuinly fantastic place for food.
A LOT OF THAI GROCERIES and specific products.
All u want Thai dessert and snacks
The food is from different products. Cost & quality. It is very budget restuarant. I recommend it.
Absolutely amazingly authentic food, from entrees to desserts to products, if its Thai they have it! The sticky rice mango is soooo delicious my mouths watering from just thinking about it! Id go here just for the sticky rice! Thats how amazing they make it! Service pretty much is mediocre at best, but eff it! The food makes up for it in every efffing way!:D
Always a tasty dessert they are making fresh when you step inside!🤺🍨🍧🍦🍡
The crew is good. Meals are tasty and one dish is for two peoples.
Had already fee, it shouldnt be lower rateTake advantage too much
Good deserts
When in Hollywood and you want authentic Thai come here.
I was passing by when I saw “Thai desserts” and just had to go in. I got kanom krok - coconut custard-filled munchkin-like pancakes. I am now obsessed with these. They also have coconut custard varieties which is great for lactose-intolerant folk.
They over price their products. I can get same dessert in Thai grocery for less by $2.
Best Mango sticky-rice outside of Thailand. Large selection of Thai desert sand products.
Greatest place to get Thai snacks! I wish they have this in Boston... Most of the snacks here are so authentic just like getting them in Thailand!
Nice house made ices and sweets.
Best little thai store. I have to come here everytime Im in LA. Desserts are awesome.
Very cool place - ask for what they recommend
Bunch of yummy Thai desserts. Kanom Bueng crispy crepes box of 12 for $6. Kanom krok (banana coconut cream patties) $3.50 box of 6. Recommend calling ahead for big orders.
Like to go to this shop with yummy Thai frozen food and desserts..
Good food, quick service. Good price.
The desserts taste so good and cheap but it will add up because you want everything.
I love this place. They have really good thai desserts and a plenty of options. I always walk out with bags full of goodies. I love the foi thong. A sugar and egg dessert...it looks like yellow thread. The parking does suck. You can tell the valet guys that your going in quickly for some dessert. With a cute smile...theyll let you park for freee.
The desserts were good but not great. The sticky rice with mango was edible but left an aftertaste.
Wanted to really love this place but unfortunately some of their treats are stale and hard as if theyve been there for days. Have to be careful what you choose
Heaven for sweet lover. Full load of yummy Thai desserts with inexpensive price.
Great spot to pick up some freshly/recently made Thai desserts like kanom krok and foy thong. The savory variety of the crepe has a nice hint of chilli oil and kaffir leaf.
Fresh and dry snack from Thailand and home made
Amazing place for Thai desserts! A must if you are in Thai Town!!
Nice little shop with variety of thai dessert and snacks.
Got there at 8:15pm and everything was almost sold out. I was dying to try one of their desserts but instead tried their layered cake.
The place has alot of neat things but theyre service is terrible and they dont even know how to greet people or recommend you any snacks or ask you if you need help .the cashier girl doesnt even know how to say thanks once you buy something...not worth another trip
Yummy, worth a visit if your looking for quick Thai deserts
We bought way too much dessert. Couldnt help it.
One of my top 5 favorite places to visit in L.A.
I love buying all my sweets from here!
All your exotic favorites
Excellent and delicious 👍
Grilled milk is awesome
A little expensive. I guess because its exotic.
