Was excited to try this place. I got the ube latte, ube cheesecake, red velvet bread pudding and Oreo tres leches. The ube latte was good. The cheesecake was ok, the texture wasnt a creamy cheesecake texture that I prefer. Everything else was so overly sweet. I usually love tres leches but this one was full of sugar. The bread pudding was like a mushy cake and not enjoyable.
I ordered online for the first time. The ordering process was so easy. The order was ready in less than 10 min. When we got the order, the restaurant was so beautiful and the customer service was so great. The presentation of the purple ube was so lovely and looked just like the photos. It was so damn delicious!!! I shared it with my daughter and we both loved it!!! I will definitely be returning, very good value for the money too!Thank you!!!
Gave this place a try, its good. I got the halo halo & ube cheese cake
Ive been dying to try this place ever since I saw them on the Profit! Definitely did not disappoint!Everything on their menu is sooo good. Im making an effort to try everything. The online ordering system is so easy to navigate. For halo-halo lovers, this one cant be beat. I tend to not order this at many US restaurants because they are usually not that great, but not Bsweets. They add all the right ingredients to make it authentic.
I had a hankering for a sweet treat and being vegan it’s always a bit tricky. I was close to Sawtelle so thought I would finally try B Sweet. It was a Saturday early evening and the street was a bit busier with things opening up a bit more. I found free parking on a side street so I can grab my order and go. I ordered pick up through postmates which was easy. They quoted a 30 minute timeframe but it was more like 15 minutes. I got the tres leches confetti cake and a cookie for my friend and the fruity pebbles vegan cheesecake for me. Friend said the cake was a bit more dense compared to other tres leches that he has tried but overall it was a 4/5. Cookie was good. My fruity pebbles cheesecake was excellent. I am not necessarily a fruity pebbles lover but there were no other vegan options at the time. The cheesecake itself was excellent. Could not tell it was vegan whatsoever. I would definitely come back for any other vegan cheesecake by B Sweet because the cheesecake part and crust are bomb! Definitely will be back. Salamat!
The ube bread pudding with ice cream. Simply heavenly. This is my favorite dessert place living in LA for the past 30 years
I was catfished. It wasnt as good as the photos made it look. #disappointedIm a big foodie and would not recommend it.
A westernized take in Filipino desserts, this trendy place offers both warm comfort & cool desserts.I came at night and caught the busy after dinner crowd. Could not resist getting one of their bread puddings (their specialty) in red velvet, plus their ube cheesecake. The also offer the traditional Halo-Halo (flavoured shaved ice flavoured with sweet beans + & a ice cream sandwich version of the same name.I also can’t wait to come back to their brownie and monster cookie! 😃(They are related to the other Filipino place (a comfort food restaurant) just doors away, called Big Boi)Instagram - @aida.loves 😊
The setup was very intriguing nice layout on inside but I definitely was not much of a fan of their ice cream sandwich called the halo only because the donut was so sticky that it was sticking to the napkins and every time I touched it, it was just too much stickiness. The ice cream flavor was chocolate mint and it was very good as for the the traditional glaze donut was alright it could have tasted better but I was just not a fan of the stickiness even though they give you an wet-wipe which still doesn’t help.Overall I would come back here to try their other sweets on the menu that looked interesting but I wouldn’t get the halo ice cream sandwich again..
This is a really nice neighborhood joint for some feel good sweets their specialty is the hot bread pudding with whipped cream or ice cream 🍦 their theme is “Friends” yes the TV SHOW. and they have mostly everything ever cooked on the show like Rachel’s trifle chandlers cheese cake, phoebes chocolate chip cookies etc..I tried ube (kind of a yam) bread pudding with whipped cream. Which was surprisingly tasty. My friend got the chocolate bread pudding with ice cream, tried that as well but was a bit too sweet for my taste but good none the less.Do recommend trying it once atleast.
Live music on weekends, great vibes, and incredible unique desserts. Everything they have is a safe bet to try !
WOW. This is the ultimate dessert shop. From red velvet bread pudding to ube-flavored cheesecake, B Sweet is always offering something new. On top of their rotating menu of specials, you need to try their halo-halo and donut ice cream sandwiches. This Filipino inspired restaurant also has live music on weekends outside. Its a ton of fun to watch and request songs while you eat your food.
Try the chocolate banana bread pudding, thai tea, and the cold brew. Always order in advance. The lines can be long.Right now they’re only accepting app or online orders anyway due to Covid. They fulfill the orders quickly though. It only took five minutes from when I placed my app order to when I was able to pick it up.
The decor of this place was off the hook. They went all out and covered every inch of this place. The staff were very friendly and helpful when asked about items on the menu. We got the Halo Halo which is there signature item and the ube ice cream sandwich. The ice cream sandwich was so good. Really cant beat the ube flavour. I was disappointed with the Halo Halo. I have a huge sugar tooth and I didnt even finish it. Not sure if it was made wrong but I didnt really see what all the hype was. The ube ice cream and the red bean was probably the highlight. The rest of the toppings just didnt jive well. Maybe it was just too over loaded for me that it just became a sugar overloaded towards the end.
Had the Ube bread pudding. Not gonna lie, when I opened my order and saw it, the texture wasnt what I was expecting but the flavors are all their. Bread puddings maybe a little too soft/mushy for some but its actually really delicious and flavorful without being super sweet - Id recommend a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a cup of hot tea (no sugar) for a perfect combo.
I had the Cookie Monster, and it was too mushy and yucky. I never recommend the Cookie Monster
So I was soo excited to try this spot! I live almost an hour away from the location. They said they closed at 10:00pm and I called and they said they close at 10:00pm. I got there at 9:45pm we were about to order when the lady said they aren’t taking anymore orders. These sweets are already made she just had to cut it and put the toppings. I don’t understand why it’s so hard just to take an order knowing they are open. She said last order online is 9:45pm and we checked and it said 9:54pm.Aside from that she offered us to go to the place next door that was a crepe spot.Honestly I really wanted to try this new spot, but definitely the service and the worker made me not even want to come back.
Go next door...B good and save your money to eat elsewhere. They look appetizing, they taste like cardboard and parchment paper. The chocolate was not sweet. The red velvet ceased to inspire any flavor and their cookie batter is grainy. The chocolate brownie sounds ideal but it was neither cold nor hot. None of the desserts seemed to know whether to be hot or cold. I was extremely disappointed and quite frankly ill after. Thank God, this is LA. Better places to waste your money and time. The creamery next door to them does more business anyway.
This is a cute Filipino dessert bar in LA! They have some awesome menu items like their butters (spreads that can be used on anything from bread to waffles). They have over 40 flavors of hot bread pudding. They also have a wide variety of desserts from halo (ice cream sandwiches made from a donut) to cakes, pastries & cookie dough. They also have a variety of teas & coffees. We had the cookie dough and butters - all of which were a hit. The jars are also smartly made to cup holder size for your car ride!Staff is very friendly. COVID safety measures are in place - you must pre-order and its pick-up only. They also ship nationwide. Please support your local businesses!Find me on IG @sharmedlife
This place has a lot of delicious treats! I got the ube ice cream and it was very good.. very creamy and rich. The last time prior, they had limited items, only bread pudding.. but now they have all sorts of desserts like their popular halo halo. Definitely a place to check out if you have a sweet tooth.
Horrible customer service. We got lost, the guy called me and was extremely rude. He said they would hold our order. We got there and they canceled our order. We tried calling the number and the call wouldn’t even go through. Never going back to this place again. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
Probably the most childish idea for dessert Ive ever come across. The bread pudding was this insanely sweet amalgam of brown sugar and bread mush, and topping it with caramel made it unbearably sweet. The service was jumbled, and there is no point of service to order.
Horrible loud concerts every weekend that disturb the neighbors that live nearby. Utterly disrespectful.
This Filipino-inspired dessert shop does it right when it comes to traditional popular Filipino desserts. Their halo-halo (Filipino-style shaved ice), leche flan and ube (purple yam) ice cream are all on-point.They also go beyond these standards and take their creativity to the next level with their bread pudding (+40 rotating flavors), nitro coffee and tea, their amazing halo (pressed ice cream sandwich) just to name a few.
Horrible! If I can give a less rating I would! Came here at 9:15 pm and had to scan a code fine. Employee at the front guides me to a site where I can order and the site says I can no longer order. I try again another site and again I can no longer place an order. At this point it’s 9:30pm I explain to the employee in the front and he says that 9:30 is dead line. It was a huge! Inconvenience because I drove 20 min out for this place. Online says closing time is 10:00pm no where on line or outside the store signs says any of this. I left extremely disappointed. Employee wasn’t help at all. Brushed me off completely. Left home very disappointed.
The taste of their desserts are not the same from 4yrs ago, at least those that we ordered. Their Halo or glazed donuts filled with ice cream does not taste good anymore. I think its because of the quality of the donut they use now. The dough tastes a bit sour and the consistency is different. The ube ice cream is still good because of the brand they use which is magnolia. Then theres the pudding which you cant explain the taste. The mouthfeel is sticky and mushy. Lastly, the cookie dough... the colors makes you worry that youll develop cancer after a spoonful. Cant figure out what it taste like. Nothing we ordered there was good anymore. 😞 And we were so excited.Weve been here a few years back and we were happy with the Halo thats why we came back. But this time its disappointing. Not worth the money. I might take down the post I have in instagram about them a few years ago If this is what they offer now.The people there through are really nice.
They missed up my order.
Literally, everything Ive tried her is so good. From their cakes to their coffees, I love coming here.
I ordered through postmates. I got two cheesecakes because they were only about 7$ each and I thought they would be small - I was wrong - they are large slices!! I got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cheesecake and the Ube Cheesecake - they were both phenomenal !!! Glad I found this place because I have a sweet tooth thats out of this world and cheesecake is a hot commodity for me !! 😊😊😊 I will definitely order from them again!
Finally a dessert place worthy of satisfying my sweet tooth! Might be a bit much for others, but perfect for me!I’ve had the Halo Halo, bread pudding, and ube ice cream. The main star is the Halo Halo of course, that ridiculous large cup of layered desserts you see in the pictures. If you’re familiar with Vietnamese desserts, this is Chè Ba Màu on steroids. This has ube ice cream, leche flan, ube halaya, condensed milk, shaved ice, jack fruit, white bean, kaong, red bean, red kaong, macapunco, and green and normal maya de coco. My friends and I were unaware of the name translating to “Mix Mix” and ate it from top to bottom for the most part, and it knocked them out into sugar comas ¼ of the way through. The bread pudding was ridiculously rich and sweet, it’s exactly what you’d imagine it’d be like if you never had bread pudding. You can also buy the ube ice cream separately in a cup if you’re not itching for a ton of sugar. If I remember right it was about under $2. Perfect “light” little dessert.Employees were nice and patient, and are more than happy to offer samples of the bread pudding for you. There isn’t really much room to sit inside, just a few benches outside. Interior is nicely packed with decorations and there’s even cold brew on tap! Pretty little nick nacks all over the place for those story posts to social media. This place specialises desserts and executes them quite well. Fair warning, it’s very likely that it will be too sweet. If you’ve got a sweet tooth to settle, this is the place to go.
B Sweet Dessert Bars desserts are truly sweet and decadent. Theyre worth the sugar rush. I came in to try their famous bread pudding, but I fell in love with their Halo Halo. The Halo Halo (5 stars) was made to perfection. It had my favorite halo halo mix-ins and toppings like ube ice cream, leche flan, nata de coco, and jackfruit. This one is special because it was just as sweet from start to finish. Its sweetened with condensed milk instead of evaporated milk and had plenty of mix-ins in each bite. With other halo halos Ive had elsewhere, the first half tastes great, but the final bites taste like a bland snow cone towards the end because its mostly ice left. The Ube Bread Pudding (4 stars) had great ube flavor. The texture was more like very moist and soaked cake rather than a traditional bread pudding. The Oreo Cake (2 stars) was too sweet and taste more like a regular white cake with subtle Oreo flavor.Unfortunately, the service (2 stars) was not very sweet. I wish they were friendlier. They prepped the Halo Halo quickly, but they took their time packing all the customers to go items. I will be back to try other sweets. I hope they are much nicer next time.
The vanilla and chocolate cupcakes are wonderful! The buttercream frosting was a little on the sweet side, but so decadent and awesome that I actually ate all of it! Had these cupcakes for a baby shower and they came out beautiful!
Update: I’d like to apologize for saying it was cookie dough ice cream instead of edible cookie dough. And while my wife actually knew it was supposed to be edible cookie dough I would like to rewrite my review after reading the response of the owner. I’ve tried to be as constructive as possible. My original review is at the bottom. While these beignets bites may be for some, they are not what I wanted. If you’re expecting the fluffy and puffy fully coated treat from New Orleans this may not be for you either. They’re smaller more compact squares. I found them to be pretty dense but after hearing from the owner they recommend you warm them up if ordering delivery. Unfortunately Postmates does not say this in the description. Nor does it recommend you order at least an hour or two before they close to ensure the freshest possible product. I was a little disappointed that they werent in covered powdered sugar. And after shaking the bag to mix the sugar around, it broke, which is to be expected considering delivery time and the naturally oily treats weakening the bottom. Maybe a slightly stronger bag could be used for Postmates and delivery?I will try this place again in the future and double update my review if I have a different experience. Although this is a small business it does not exclude them from negative reviews or customer experiences. BUT, as I continue to write reviews good and bad, I will keep in mind the impact of what I write in terms of their success. I would hope that this owner does the same with their replies.I’ll preface this review by saying I ordered through Postmates and it had a 15 minute travel time. However, the beignets I got were awful. At first I thought maybe it was the long car ride but then I remember I’ve brought home beignets from other places before and theyve never deflated. Legitimately these were like stacked and pressed cardboard. The powdered sugar was all at the bottom of the bag instead of shaken on top. We also ordered the cookie dough ice cream which was more like a grainy paste with chocolate chips spread throughout.Maybe we placed our order too close to when they close but I don’t see how that explains the packaged ice cream. Overall really disappointed with this order.
I will start with the good, the location is easy to find, stickers on the packaging cute. It is nice to have the convenience to order things online. The service was okay, I ordered online and pick up took about 10 minutes past what was posted online. We went on sunday to get the cinnamon roles and large cooke. The cinnamon rolls were nice, the topping was a bit much for me too heavily applied and more sweet than I enjoy. The cookie was good was well. My friend got the bread pudding and neither of us would recommend that. It had a vaguely fermented taste to it. 3.5/5 Stars
If I could give this place a 0 I would. I ordered online as this is their only way to order and I got charged on my card but never was given my order. When asking politely if there is any way to get my money back they said there was nothing to do, very unprofessional and do not care about their customers.
I must start with that they do have great food! No question about it.The problem is that they have very bad customer service.Always delayedA lot of mistakes with orders.Check your order two times before leaving
Poorly managed. Also avoid the halo halo
Update: Just to make this as clear as possible because the point is being missed, B Sweet Dessert Bar along with Postmates failed to notify a customer that prepaid for goods or services that said goods or services were NOT available. Even if you are not able to speak to me or any customer directly, you are able to tell your partner, Postmates, to grey out and /or list as sold out, which did not happen. But yes, you did everything you could do at that time.....right....so it is done.2020 is definitely their year. It is understandable that the company prefers customers use Postmates or a similar service due to health concerns, but that does not mean that you can get away with B.S. !!!! I made a large order for my family and I, since I recommended this place and have had previous good experiences. Today was completely different. I was conned out of $85.91. I was not notified that the Cinnamon Rolls were sold out, and the best part is that I was told when I came into B Sweet to ask for additional bags because the items were going to different locations. It is not that difficult to pick - up the phone and advise your customers if anything changes to their orders. Prepaid for one thing, told at location it is not available, and spent more money to pay the difference for replacements. I guess them charging me for 2 /3 replacements was supposed to be helpful 🙄?!?!!! I just hope that my family enjoys the other items they had to choose, because I will not be returning. B Sweet Dessert Bar needs to do better.
Great atmosphere and Ambience very artsy they have smart screens to get your drafts the desserts ice cream the Taro is amazing lots of shaved I would mixed with scoops of ice cream what coffee has a big selection and its very nice to sit outside too they close almost around midnight which is great on a weekday.
Awesome! You gotta go!
This place makes what they call a Halo. It is a doughnut with ice cream in the middle. They take two halves of the doughnut and scoop ice cream into the middle and place it in a press that cold the doughnut into a solid surround for the ice cream. The doughnut is hot when you get it, and the ice cream is cold. This is one of the best desserts Ive ever had. First, the doughnut itself is amazing. It is a glazed doughnut that is not too airy and not too cakey. Secondly, the ice cream is wonderful. I got mint chocolate chip ice cream. It wasnt just a store bought ice cream, it was amazing. Third, the two flavors really do go together perfectly. This place did have a line at 9:00 on a Thursday, so be prepared to wait, but it is worth the wait. There is some outdoor seating, but there is really not much inside because the line is so long that there really isnt room for much else. There is street parking nearby that isnt too difficult to come by. This place is perfect to take a date, or just to go with friends for an amazing treat. I will definitely be going back.
Can here today for a really quick detour before heading back to the office. Ive had B Sweet bookmarked for some time now and I am so glad I was in the area so that I can try it.First off... parking was hard to find. I am not use to being the Sawtelle area. Im spoiled... I usually go to places with parking readily available or valet. The establishment itself I thought was rally cute. The first thing I noticed was that they sold Thrifty ice cream and Magnolia ice cream (a Filipino brand). I also saw a refrigerator of an assortment of different bottled beverages.I ordered their Ube coffee cake, banana bread, and their halo halo which is a Filipino dessert.1. Ube Coffee Cake- at first I was rolling my eyes, saying to myself... not another Ube dessert... omg!!! This Ube coffee cake was SoOoOo delicious!! Im drooling thinking about it. First off, I was afraid that it wasnt going to taste Ube enough but to my surprise it did. This pierce of art crumbled and tasted just like a traditional coffee cake with hints of Ube and coconut. So awesome and a MUST!2. Banana bread- Again, I thought to myself.. its just banana... NOPE! Not just any banana bread... it was super moist.. melted in my mouth... and was super good. I will always compare banana bread to this one... ANOTHER MUST!!3. Halo Halo- this Filipino dessert is my fav! I would have to describe it as a type of shaved ice. If you love shaved ice try this. Its served with flan and Ube ice cream on top. Another MUSt!!The employees were so helpful and so patient while they were taking my order. I told them it was my first time in their establishment and they were super helpful. They explained the menu very patiently for I was a tiny bit overwhelmed and didnt k ow where to start.Seating was abundant. They offered high tables inside and they had a sitting area outside. The only reason I subtracted 1 star is the parking!! They do t have their own parking area.... at least I didnt see it... pls correct me if I am wrong... it was so difficult to find parking... this is the only downfall...Overall... I enjoyed my experience at B Sweet.. I will surely swing by when ImIn the area...Cheers!!
Hands down one of the best dessert spots in LA! along with variety and Coffee, oh and you can ice cream to any of there other desserts which is always a plus. The decor is super cute and they have the pretty good set up for water. The line can get pretty long the later you go, so if you want to avoid then you may want to visit earlier in the day. Overall a pretty good place for a date night or family night, either way, this place is dope.
I was craving Filipino sweets and came across B Sweet which had halo halo. It was delicious and a large, generous portion. Real ube and leche flan included along with the regular halo halo mix.Service was great and staff was very friendly. Husband got a calamansi juice which was refreshing but tart, next time he will add some sweetener. Look forward to trying their other desserts! I will return!
The owner is very sweet, but Im really not a fan of the fact that you cant walk up and order. I was clearly having technical issues and the employees just stared at me and didnt help. My order was ready within a few minutes so thats good. But I ordered the Ube and red velvet bread puddings. I asked for light drizzle on one, and it was even more drizzle than the other. I was annoyed by that. And the Ube one was gross. I had to throw it out after a few bites. And Im a HUGE ube lover. Thankfully, the red velvet bread pudding was incredible. So the trip wasnt a total loss. Definitely order ahead!
The pastries at Tarting are beautiful and taste similar to the ones Ive had in Los Angeles. I came here at night so I really want to come back in the morning when the pastries are fresh. I enjoyed what I had but I definitely want to try more.
This place is legit, I got their brownie and my wife got the ice cream sandwich. Both of them were amazing, seriously so good. I also got their nitro cold brew which was pretty good but the size was a little small for the price. My wife got their latte which was delicious. Honestly, this place is so fun to try out and they had live music Pre Covid. Right now it’s to go orders but I can’t wait until they open back up because it’s always a fun time. You can grab their ice cream and drinks from the refrigerator as well if your on the run. The staff is super nice as well.
Effort to reward ratio heavily and negatively skewed =( Cant believe I am putting forth the effort to share my experience. Im just one customer and this will change nothing as hundreds of other happy paying customers will offset any lack of business from me. Not the end of the world, I just know not to order the halo halo.Yup, I hated the ordering process just like many of the Yelp reviewers. Took way to long to find the square site when the QR wouldnt point correctly, I just ended up having to google it. One or two Square POS stations up front would solve many of the issues and frustrations from customers.I ordered the Halo Halo as Ive been excited to try it and after getting through the annoying process of simply ordering it, it was ready one minute later. Somehow. I was physically present at the store front but did not see anyone make a halo halo. It all made sense when I was handed the halo halo...pre-made. I get it, more efficient and ready to go but at the cost of quality? I disagree. I was already frustrated but now defeated and just disappointed that all that effort to order instead of just ordering in person, I received an after thought product. It had a huge frozen block of ice in the middle, I couldnt even enjoy it until the ice melted. 30min later of walking in the sun wasnt enough. The plastic spoons are useless against the block of ice of course. I almost threw it away after the slap in the face of what was thought to be ok to give to a customer. I actually threw out the small fist sized block of ice that still remained so that I could actually consume the damn thing. I grew up with halo halo and would sometimes make my own, loved using that classic little plastic hand spun ice shaver, so fun. Although, the best Ive had was on the side of the road along the 55 on the way to Bayambang. While the flavor was great and the ingredients true to a proper halo halo, absolutely not worth the time or money, just overall really disappointing. Happy to try other items but unless Bsweet changes the approach on their halo halo, I personally do not recommend it at all. Again, I am no one and have no expectations on the matter but this is my experience that I wanted to share.Cheers!
Really cool aesthetic, very unique looking coffee shop. Unfortunately there isnt WiFi or any outlets that Icould find. But for sure there is a very large space to have sit down and enjoy your coffee. For most part very happy and enjoyed the experience.
I walked up to order and they said I could not order unless I had my phone and I scan the barcode. I drove all this way, and I forgot my phone, and it’s cold outside and I don’t want to walk back there again. First time I’ve ever gone to a place where they refused my money. It was strange.
I have found the end of the rainbow! When you discover an entire restaurant dedicated to creating your favorite dessert, how could they do any wrong?I absolutely love bread pudding and will undoubtedly order it any chance I get if a restaurant has it on the menu. So when I found B Sweet Dessert Bar, I knew that I was in for a treat. There are tons of options for anyone who likes sweets. If bread pudding isnt your thing (you are crazy) but there is everything from cake slices to deep fried Oreos to satisfy your sweet tooth.Their menu has their staple flavors, which they have perfected, and there are also rotating flavors like Thin Mint and Pineapple Upside-Down for anyone feeling frisky enough to step outside of their go to order.Customize your selection with a scoop of ice cream and drift off into La La Land. I can personally recommend the Banana Chocolate bread pudding with ice cream and the Lucky Charms cake slice with ice cream. I mean honestly, everything is better with ice cream so just go for it!
I went here after disgusting Honeymee ice cream nearby and I was not disappointed again!) I had your caramel pudding (don’t know how to name it) + vanilla ice cream. It was SO DELICIOUS! Thank you! But too many calories. I mean, I felt so full after it! Definitely overate. Never before felt like this. But it’s worth it!
This is my absolute favorite dessert place in all of Los Angeles. Theyre famous for their heavy use of Ube, which Im not a fan of, but its their Halo ice cream sandwiches that drove me in, putting a scoop of Thrifty ice cream of your choice inside a fresh, hot, resealed glazed donut. Its utterly spectacular and needs to be eaten instantly. But what has driven me back, over and over again, are their awe-inspiring bread puddings. The flavors change weekly, and theyre hot, moist, and full of flavor. I have to get the larger size because the smaller one disappears way too quickly. And they can be frozen and reheated! We stock up as a result. Get the Glazed Donut flavor. Its my favorite.
I came to B Sweet Dessert Bar after seeing a promotion and wanted to try what they had to offer. I didnt want to make a pig of myself so I chose the item I felt was their signature, the halo. The halo is an ice cream sandwich that uses a donut for bread. It is not bad, it is good actual, very sweet, just not popping out at me flavor good. Your mileage may vary. They have other things to eat. It cost me $5. I just felt that their menu was over rated when I sampled it. The place is small. The decor is a quaint retro and popular culture vibe. Parking was Difficult. You will have to pay.I would not go out of my way, again, to go here. I would not recommend for anyone to. If its very convenient for you to try it out and you are feeling trendy for desert Id say try it once. Other then that, you can by ice cream and pie instead.
As the name might imply, this place is full of different kinds of desserts. You have ice cream, bread pudding, pastries, donuts, brownies, and crazy milkshake-esque sugary drinks. It is a dessert place heaven. Pretty much everything here is good, and you really cant go wrong with anything you choose. Pick an item, and be prepared to indulge in some crazy sugary goodness. Price wise this place is decent, nothing outrageous but nothing super cheap either. Overall, if youre in the area, this is definitely worth a stop by.
I LOVE THIS place. They have the BEST bread pudding Ive ever had! And I typically dont even like bread pudding. They serve coffee, tea and you can pair your dessert with ice cream. They do have other tasty desserts to offer (brownies, cakes, pies etc) but their bread pudding is their crown jewel to me. Friendly people and great service too. Dont let the parking situation deter you. Its worth it.
Incredible! Their staple bread pudding was absolutely delightful! I wasnt sure what to expect of it, as it sounded a little strange, but I couldnt get enough of it after ordering it! I got it with a topping of vanilla ice cream, which was the perfect complement to the cookie dough flavor that the bread pudding inside had.I also got the cookie monster, which was very yummy as well. I love all of the desserts here! I cant wait to come back and try more of them. The interior is well lit and has a very warm, comfortable vibe to it. Theres simplistic wooden benches outside to sit on, and some stools inside. Theres also a cute little wooden wall with string lights on it for some aesthetic photo shoots, if youre in the mood!I loved this little dessert place and the area around it! Ill be back!
This place is AMAZING! Its such cool spot, with an epic concept. They only serve bread pudding and as a huge bread pudding fan myself its pretty great, super close to heaven. So everyday the flavors change so you never know what youre gonna get (life should be a bread pudding shop not a box of chocolates). I think the regular flavor is the salted caramel so I think thats something you can get everyday. Which, by the way, is delicious I tend to go for that one. But all the other flavors are pretty great too. They also have some other stuff like brownies, cold brew coffee etc. All around a pretty great place. Awesome location, super kind staff. Delicious dessert.
The bread pudding absolutely blew me away. One of my favorite desserts at the moment. I really wanted to share the experience, so I bought a s’mores bread pudding for my father. He hated it, and after I tried to make sure, I found it was so intensely sweet and the combo wasn’t great. The ube bread pudding with ice cream is 10/10 though.
Cant ever go wrong with banana chocolate and ice cream!
Anyone who steps foot in Sawtelle must try B Sweet bread pudding. It will change your life. My favorite was the animal cookie flavor bread pudding, but is a rotating flavor and is not offered any given day. My go-to is the banana chocolate. They do give samples if you ask, so you do not have to commit without trying. On Saturday nights, they have a band play outside that usually draws a crowd.
I have never written a review, but I spent too much money for what was supposed to be bread pudding and it was undeniably bad!!! I was shocked...the reviews were strong, the place was packed, but the salted caramel bread pudding was either misidentified or someone in the kitchen has a grudge against my taste buds! The only reason I did not ask for a refund was that I could not find parking and the place was packed. I sent my wife in there to place our order and I will say that the bread pudding was not eaten, it was disposed of! If the owner needs to contact me he can certainly do so, cause this was not bread pudding and whatever it was, it was not good!
Dropped by while visiting LA after I was told the coffee was great there. I was not misled AT ALL. Coffee was definitely worth the $6-7 I paid for it and the croissant was very buttery and flaky. The interior is very minimal (exception being the picture of The Last Coffee Meetup) and they had music playing. All in all, I did return again and I will continue to return whenever I visit LA and in Koreatown.
I love the design of the store! Its so trendy and new.I got to try out the salted caramel bread pudding and it was amazing! The bread had the right amount of sweetness and was soft. Warm and gooey and delicious! They rotate their flavors so come by and check out their new flavors. Service is fast and friendly.
Delicious desserts and milkshakes, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Very cute dessert shop. One of the best in the area.
This shop has many delicious sweets and the place was nice and clean. The staff were kind and friendly. They also are very accommodating and they did a GREAT job in serving their costumers!!!
You walk in to this coffee shop and it has an amazing aroma. The baristas are super nice and the coffee is on point. 4/5 love this place.
Came here for the first time recently and had the “halo” (warm donut with your choice of ice cream inside) and it was... DELICIOUS. I choice Ube ice cream and it was spot on combination. My partner got the cookie dough cake and she enjoyed it as well! She did say it was kind of dry... but still tasted good. Service was pretty friendly atmosphere was cute.
Was in town for the weekend and visited twice. One of the best dessert places Ive ever had. Definitely the best bread pudding. I highly recommend to anyone looking for an after dinner treat!
Cute little shop all currently decked out for Halloween. Sadly they are fairly short on staff so the wait can get long depending on when you go. I highly recommend the banana chocolate bread pudding! I also tried the Halo donut which was okay.
Love the bread pudding. Its a must try. They offer samples so taste them all. The cold Brew coffee is good too. There are all types of cakes, cookies, ice cream, etc so everyone will find something for their sweet tooth.
Delicious! The Halo halo was great! Cute little spot! The parking sucks cause you gotta park on street. Other than that its a A++++ for me. Definitely worth the drive.
