Feels like a brick & mortar mom & pop boutique but is actually filled with a bunch of high-end beauty brands. Think candles, sage, Dr. Hauschka, RMS, local chocolates. Good for house-warming gifts in a pinch.
My friends and I walked into Cosmetic City the other day as we were waiting for a table next door, and the owner -- a sweet, 60 year old Korean lady with flawless looking skin, of course -- kindly welcomed us to try out some Shiseido products she had on display. Two of us ended up splurging on the Shiseido Ultimune serum. It had a hefty price tag of $130, but also included 4 luxury-sized free samples plus a complimentary 1 hour facial so the $130 honestly felt like such a steal! The owner even let us swap out the default samples so we could try specific products that we were interested in which was much appreciated :)I booked my facial for the following day and had such a fabulous time! They have a private room in the back where they had me put on a gown, lay down on the bed, and enjoy a full hour of pampering. The facial included makeup removal, face/neck massaging, hot stone massage, a face steamer, sheet mask, and a copious amount of various Shiseido creams/toners that was carefully massaged into my skin throughout the session. The massaging was so relaxing I think I even fell asleep at one point haha.I dont even live in LA, but will most definitely be back to buy more Shiseido products (and hopefully score some more complimentary facials)!
I came here for $1 face masks for my Cleopatra and I.
