They clearly had no idea what was going on with my computer and tried to charge me almost $100 to assess it, at which point it would have clearly cost me more money, or $40 to sell me something where i could maybe figure it out myself. The whole time they were just trying to upsell me other stuff. Dont waste your time.

Computer Ahnex were GREAT with repairing our laptops. We expected it to take a week or so and they had both of them repaired in one day. They even repaired what a different shop had been unable to do. They also give you accurate quotes and dont pressure you to buy any unnecessary upgrades. Due to being off of two busy boulevards, there tends to be moderate to heavy traffic between 12pm to 6pm, so be advised. Owner(s) and staff are knowledgeable, professional, honest and more than happy to assist you with all of your questions or concerns regarding computer electronics, etc. I believe it was Jay who helped me over the phone (not sure) but he was super cool, helpful, quoted me a great price for what I needed done and said it would be done within 45 minutes to 2 hours. Also, they dont charge a fee ($25 at others) to diagnose your computer. Overall, everything was great! 4 Stars because I wasnt able to actually get my computer worked on...

This local shop had what I needed a spare heatsink/fan combo for an Am3 motherboard, even supplied me with some free thermal paste. Great place.

Oh, the horror! The horror of NOTHING. I powered up my laptop + got the dreaded black screen of death. It wouldnt boot up. It wouldnt do anything. Always happens when u least expect it. And I hadnt done a back up since, uh, what year is this?? Now my dads words of wisdom started ringing in my head Its not IF your computer will fail, but WHEN. I shouldve listened. Now I needed a repair + I needed it bad. I found Computer Ahnex had good reviews + was here in Koreatown (English spoken too). Took my laptop in 2 hours before closing. Its a nice clean, orderly place on the 2nd floor. There, James listened to everything I said carefully, asked good questions + cautiously said theyd take a look. We agreed on a basic price. I left with fingers crossed. Less than 2 hours later, James called with awesome news! They fixed my laptop, same day. How great is that? They saved the day, heck, they saved the year. My laptop’s power button was broken and while bestbuy was charging me $100 just for a diagnosis (not adding the addition cost for fixing it) computer ahnex was able to drill a small hole that gave me access to turn it on without replacing the button. The customer service is great and they’re good at creative solutions! I would definitely recommend them!!

Cheaters, fraud, refused to refund. The manager said that downloading a Windows was necessary but in fact it was not at all because only d drive was needed to be replaced with a new ssd. And they still charged an O.S install fee of $65 and refused to refund. Do not blindly trust the reviews.

These guys save me $1000s .. I went in, not knowing what to expect, asking how to get files out from a broken hard drive. An older gentleman asked what kind of noise my bad hard drive made. After, he gave me the instructions for free without trying to sell me anything, which got my hard drive back and running again! Everywhere else the minimum is $5000

Yo, this place is next level. Robert just told me he has been doin this 26 years. And he employs young people to teach them. No frills, genuine and he doesnt talk down to anyone, I know because I kinda end up hanging and talking because its so customer friendlyand I hear how he interacts with everyone from this big black man to little soccer moms. He saved a project I thought I lost when my dogs knocked water onto my hard drive, he installed a motherboard I bought on ebay, he basically built me a new computer. I got three more at home going his way soon. Hes a real one.

Computer Anhex is a secret gem in the heart of Los Angeles! From the friendly and professional reception I received on the phone from the owner, Mr. Ahn, to the repair itself, his repair store offers exceptional customer service. Its reminiscent of the friendly neighborhood service you just don’t see any more. If it’s possible to repair your computer, Mr. Ahn can do it! My 2011 MacBook Pros GPU (graphics board) died. Luckily for me, Mr. Ahn has experience with “reflowing”, where the circuit board is heated to renew any questionable solder joints. To be cautious, Mr. Ahn heated my board just below the max temperature it could withstand. When that failed, Mr. Ahn, decided to reflow it again at max temperature. And BOOM, the GPU returned to full operation! His determination to exhaust all solutions in repairs is beyond belief. The charge for his reflow was $120, a truly modest fee for the length of time reflows take (10 hours). If the repair service had ended in failure, he was only going to charge $70. Mr. Ahns goal is to please his clients and service their needs. I highly recommend Computer Ahnex for any computer repair (Mac and PC).

Searching for a knowledgeable computer tech on dual platform is not easy. I have both a PC and a Mac to deal with and Robert is the Real Pro. I came this Computer Ahnex for upgrading HDD of my Macbook Pro and HP Desktop to SSD. Robert installed Mac OS and Windows 10 on my Macbook Pro and installed Windows 7 on my HP Desktop. I was impressed by the way the boss and employees tried to help with sincerity, but above all, I felt that they knew and explained well, so I gained trust. Personally, I havent been able to use Internet e-mail, but I am happy to solve the problem immediately. Thank you for allowing me to rewrite it without having to pay expensive money on the day. I will visit again next time if something happens.For anyone who plans on coming here, these guys know what theyre doing. Mr. Ahn went out of his way to make sure my computer is working flawlessly and even helped me with some personal email issues.
