Holy moly! This place is amazing! Their macaroons are superb and they even gave us a free one for coming in. The baguette is done perfectly here. The cakes remind me of being in Paris. This place is very busy but totally with it. I highly recommend getting here.

I’ve explored SO. MANY. BAKERIES. in LA to find the perfect croissant, after having gone to Paris right before COVID hit. The craving was so real. And I’m SO glad I found this place!! Because they have the best croissant hands down in LA. Trust. It has that perfect, flaky exterior and that chewy, moist texture once you bite into. Their financiers are to DIE for as well. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything here! Major kudos!

I tried their ham sandwich and the vegan sandwich currently available. Both were outstanding. The flavors on both were delicious and the bread was the right amount of soft and chewy. I also got a chocolate croissant and it has huge puffy layers and a nice chocolate. I very much enjoyed everything!

A solid choice for viennoiserie (croissant types) in LA, but I don’t think the lines are warranted.Better viennoiserie can be found at Republique and Chaumont.

Its a good little bakery/coffee shop with plenty of pastries, cakes, cookies and coffee. I ordered a few pastries and a latte and it was good. I dont see why people make a long line for this place though, the coffee was good but far from the best, and pastries are also good but not something I would make a line for.Prices are the usual third wave coffee shop prices at $4.50+ for coffee and $3+ for pastries (At least the ones I got).Service was good, the place is kept clean and very strict with COVID rules which is great for us customers and their employees.Would swing by again if theres no line.

Got the quiche, fruit danish, and cardamom morning bun. Quiche was light and creamy, would have loved a little more stuffing in ratio to the egg custard, but it was great flavor nonetheless. the fruit danish was not too sweet thank goodness as i find most are overloaded with sugar, but the absolute star, the knockout, the divinity was the cardamom morning bun. LIGHT, crisp, so much air, and the cardamom was perfect and aromatic. I have never had a cardamom treat nor a morning bun so exquisite. Exactly as it should be. highly recommend.

Proof Bakery is the best bakery in town. Particularly, their sandwiches are best of the best. You might complain they are tiny and expensive, but you know you will never get anything like that anywhere. Sandwiches are available only after noon (12pm). They also offer some high quality pastries and cakes. Side of the shop is a coffee bar - pretty nice if not the best. This is a small shop. Don’t expect an extensive list of stuffs but some quality goods. You will never be disappointed.

The proof is in the taste!Proof Bakery is one of the best examples I have tasted here in LA for all things said, the art of pastry making.I find myself comparing their croissants to ones I had at the C.I.A. It is a near perfect creation of buttery goodness. Their baked goods are certainly a passion for great work. The sandwich I had this past weekend was more than amazing.Proof Bakery makes most everything in small batches and the care they put into their work is amazing. The weekends are crowded and they will run out of items quickly. The available seating is scarce, so you should feel lucky to find something. Be prepared to choose quickly and be sure to order a cup of their excellent coffee.

*** If you don’t want to be on the receiving end of a white worker’s microaggressions avoid this place*** Good food but experience was ruined by passive aggressive white blonde worker who was eyeing me and my grandpa the whole time. There was barely any people at the store but she was eyeing us to hurry for no reason. Like bish if somethings bothering u that much say something... Wasn’t even in there for 5 minutes. Like ofc he’s gonna take his time bc he’s elderly and can only speak Korean like chill tf. Thought the owner was Korean too...

From the sandwiches to coffee to baked goods, Proof does it all masterfully. I dont know how they take a simple turkey sandwich and make the flavors so complex and unique. As a french person I’m very picky when it’s about french patisseries and viennoiseries.I tried different ones in LA, never really felt like I was home. This place has the best chocolate croissant I ever had in LA, and being able to order it in french it’s also a +.Love the coffee out there too and the canelés :)I def recommend this place! The big down side regarding the chocolate croissant, croissant...is that if you go after 9.30am there is no more. We LOVE Bakery. Their cakes are always so moist, fresh, and deeelicious! Bakery made our wedding cake and it was a huge hit at the wedding. The owners are the sweetest people who are lovely to work with and who provided us with exactly what we wanted. Ordering and planning for our cake was by far the easiest part of our wedding planning. The chocolate cake with whipped cream and strawberry filling is my favorite cake ever. If you love high quality cake with fresh and not too sweet frosting, this is the place for you!

Definitly too expensive. Nice shop with cafeteria and few but natural products, some tables, fast service which keeps small the line, contrarly to neightborought Porto. But price is non acceptable. Sweet bread=2,5$; small muffin=4,25$; even smaller=3,75;slice of yogurt cake (no chocolate, seeds, cream, nothing)=5$. Not my bakery.

I came across Proof Bakery on Yelp and got excited to see that their eclairs looked beautiful. Not much after I found myself in there deciding which eclair to get. If the prices werent so steep I would have gotten one of each! Theyre so pretty its hard to resist! My boyfriend and I shared a few of the eclairs and our favorite was the berry eclair. The eclairs are soft, not too dry, and sufficiently sweet.. but they are VERY small and pricier compared to other bakeries that sell eclairs.I also tried the plum tart which had a vanilla custard filling. I loved this so much! Would get this over the eclairs. The plums were fresh and the tart gave it a nice crunch making it more palatable. Although I liked these fancy desserts I would only come back if I was craving it like crazy or was really close by because of its price..Street parking wasnt too hard to find so dont let that stop you from trying this place out!

I saw Proof Bakery on Worth It, and I was so excited to get their buzzed about chocolate cake. When we went, they didn’t have it but we had the lemon chiffon instead. Went to Proof Bakery for breakfast on a Sunday at 8:30 am. There was about a 30 minute wait, but was well worth it. I had the morning bun. It was flaky throughout, crispy on the outside, and soft in the middle, with the perfect ratio of citrus filling to dough. A filling, satisfying breakfast. Even though theres lots of people waiting in line, I think most people get the pastries to-go so there is ample seating inside the restaurant. Ive heard great things about the croissant and am going to try that the next time I go
