El Sereno gem for sure. I’ve been coming to this neighbourhood meat market since I was a kid. Disliked the smell of this meat market as a kid, but appreciate the smell and cleanness as an adult. Best carne asada and marinated chicken *( will marinate chicken breast or other meat of choice.) 5lb box of shrimp for super cheap, fresh produce that is better than big saver and food 4 less. friendly staff that always make it a point to acknowledge everyone by name if you are a regular, but also acknowledge the first timers. I highly recommend ditching the local super markets and giving this local meat market a try. You will not be disappointed.

Good service, great choices and friendly workers. I love their marinated chicken and always get it with a their guacamole and salsa. If you are feeding lots of folks on a budget, get yourself a few pounds of pastrami and a some bollios from El Aguila bakery down the street. Had a party and everybody loved it. Only thing that sucks is they are cash only, but come prepared and you wont be disappointed.

Horrible customer service, they closed before their closing scheduled. One of the cashier and attendant has definitely no customer service skills. They don’t value the customer business, I go with my business to other meat market is not worth to leave my money with them.

High quality meat, I am especially a huge fan of their rib eyes but thats personal taste. Across the meat spectrum they are one of the best you can find in CA. Also, John the manager is very helpful and someone who genuinely cares about his customers. Highly recommend El Sereno Meat Market.

I love the meat here but they close whenever they want the sign says 6pm but there is a guy telling you not to enter at 5:55and closing the gate in your face.

Love the carne asada and chicken. I used to live in El Sereno. The meat is so good I drove from Victorville to El Sereno just to get some meat for my bbq. Worth the drive!!! The marinated chicken is the bomb!!! The staff is Always friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place.

If you want the best tasting authentic mexican meats...there is no substitute for a real carniceria. Ralphs, Vons, Trader Joes, Whole Foods cannot hold a candle to places like this. They even marinate your meat for you for free if you ask.
