Great selection, fair prices, and some real hidden gems if you know what’s up.Hours are kind of weird and don’t really go with what’s posted most times, which is a big disappointment when you show up and the place is closed.But overall, I would say it’s still up there as one of the best used bookstores in LA.

Same experience as other reviewers. We placed and order here 3 months ago and paid with card. We were since completely ghosted. They haven’t answered our phone calls or emails amounting to over ten times we’ve tried to reach out. Don’t trust this place with your money.

I placed an order on their website over two months ago. I got an order confirmation and they took my money then just ghosted me. I have not received my books, nor a respons to my multiple emails and calls asking for updates.Feeling like I was robbed.I do not recommend buying from them.

This is a great spot for any book lover. I stopped in to get my niece a hardback edition of Wizard of Oz for her birthday. The associate promptly helped me locate exactly what I was looking for and gift wrapped it for me. Its the little details that make customers come back and perpetuate your business.

Has a neat manga collection of some of the more niche stuff, even has a light novel or two I saw. The place is pretty cramped though.Its a genuine feeling bookstore though. Books are about the same price as retail/what the price says on the back of the book.

The stories are always amazing. Ive been coming here since then. They have the best story books in town.

The beatnik writers hung out here. What more needs said? Great poetry room upstairs, large beat writers section. Quirky little nooks and crannies to the place making it a surprise around every corner. The place has an amazing aura to it. If youre visiting CA this place is a must see.

I love this bookstore! They have an excellent, well-treated selection of books, most of them are new and if they arent, they look new. The more aged and damaged books are a dollar. The staff are friendly but not too talkative, which is exactly what I want out a bookstore clerk. I come to this store regularly, and Im always finding new books in my favorite sections. Every visit, I come home with an arm-full of books. I cannot say enough good things about this place; it is truly a gem!

I wen with my nice it was her first time going to a bookstore. I ask for a book and in a blink of an eye the book was on my hands. I ask for a teenager love drama book for mi nice and she hade 4 to pick from once she decided on one book she was really happy and would not put her book down. I was like o.k put it down is not going anywhere.

Small but cozy shop! I advise you to look at him. Cheap books. Convenient location! Keep it up)

Friendly folk. Decent amount of graphic novels, zines, art books & leftist literature. Good venue for readings and other community programming. Only bookstore in Boyle Heights outside of religious bookstores.

Exactly what youd think in the middle of a neighborhood filled with cute little businesss this place is like a predator. clean white interior with subdued wood accents, combined with a small central lounge make it a targeted instantly readable location: it was like a set. Staff was helpful, no real problems good place if you want art but dont nessicarally make it yourself, although that doesnt hurt.

Found this place while I was driving Valencia street.And oh my god Im so glad Ive found it.The store is no that huge, but the atmosphere is great.
