This bookstore has been such a bright spot for me over the past year! From the free author events on weekends, to the occasional book sales (where used books are heavily discounted, even though theyre in entirely like-new condition!!), to the very kind and personal customer service. I cant wait to visit this store in person when its safe :)

I am not a pro. Just a dude trying to cook and have fun. Theyve been helping make my kitchen journey, fun. They always help with amazing recommendations. They also host many amazing events with authors, chefs, and such that bring the food community together. Though its a 30 mile drive and a small store, the helpfulness, knowledge, and selection make it a fun trip. And I love supporting the mom & pop shop local businesses.

Now Serving is a wonderfully curated bookstore specializing in cookbooks and magazines. Information on the most avant-garde gastronomy and delectable fares can be found in their pages. Influential recipes from restaurants/chefs both local and international can be found in their shelves. Cookbooks from the minds of Daniel Humm (Eleven Madison Park), Rene Redzeppi (Noma), to David Chang (Momofuku restaurants). If you love food, eating, or cooking, you need to check out this gem in Chinatown.

I absolutely love this book store! Two floors of great and unique finds. There are many friendly faves to guide and help with anything you need. Theres also a cafe. There is a great childrens section upstairs and have fun story times. There is more than enough parking available. Keep Austin weird! Ha!

This book store was very cute and jam-packed with a nice variety of books. Although rather small, they definitely make use of all of the space they have and have many different sections to choose from. Unfortunately, I could not find a true crime section, although there might have been true crime books there. For any book lovers, I suggest giving this unique bookstore a visit!!

Very beautiful one-stop, cookbook shop, packed to the gills with every type of cookbook you could imagine. International foods, vegan, cocktails: you name it. Picked up a copy of Questlove’s “mixtape potluck” book and the gentleman working was very helpful and kind as he helped orient me with the organization of the shelves and he even hipped me to some of his new favorite bakeries and cafes in the surrounding area. Big ups, would recommend!

This bookshop is AMAZING, as are the staff! My boyfriend and I stopped in while visiting LA from the east coast, and we wish we had gone by as soon as we landed--Michelle and Nancy gave us awesome recommendations for restaurants to try as well as on what cookbooks to check out. We loved it and so wish we lived closer and could go here for event, but at least we can watch whats happening/new on Instagram for now. Keep it up! :)

This bookstore was really nice! I didnt like how the 2 bookstores were separate, but they had a good collection of used books. Had a weird experience with one of the clientele that discouraged me and the staff seemed a bit off, but the bookstore itself was good.

Nice little bookstore focusing on cookbooks. Pretty decent selection prices are a bit on the high side selection is a bit on the hipster tip. But if youre waiting in line for Howlin Rays you might as well check it out

Really knowledgable, friendly and supportive folks bring an incredible array culinary books and equipment. This little gem is well worth the drive from...well...anywhere just to marinate in (see what I did there?) the inspiring energy and pick up a new cookbook upon which to base your next family meal or special gathering. The really special thing about Now Serving, besides their irresistsble catalogue, calendar chock-full of events and delicious location among some of LAs most bodacious eateries? This independent, family-run business strives to make each visitor feel like family as they pass through the doors.I just discovered this gem a few weeks ago, and these guys already have me strategizing ways to delay an upcoming trip, just so I cam spend more time among the stacks.
