Love this store! Bought a Tokidoki bag there a few years back, and I still get tons of compliments! I also love the Giant Robot Store 2, which is across the street. I got a really cool drawing there and Im figuring out where to hang it up in my room. Great store! Totally recommend you go there once they open back up!

Have been coming here for 20 years. Going to bring my 11-year old who is obsessed with all that is Japanese-y. A chip off her old block, it’s iconic as it is important. 💙💙🏁💸💸💸

One of the most important places in existence in the city of Los Angeles, and when it comes to pop culture and the art world perhaps one of the most critical hubs of creativity this world has left. What started as an influential and incredibly important magazine focused on Asian pop culture and beyond has turned into mankind‘s great rare hope for excellence and brilliance in the arts and culture, design and beyond... when you visit in person, downright 100% friendliness and community.A++++

Such a unique toy store. Geared for kids... and the kid in every adult. So many interesting things but be prepared to shell out some big bucks since many items are either collectors level or at least unique enough to command a steep price.

If you want real toys that can entertain any kids and kids-at-heart, this is THE toy store for you. Tomica die cast cars galore. The staff is just friendly and genuinely helpful. They wrap the toys for you for free if you are intending to give it as a gift. I wish theyd carry retro robots too, that would be awesome.

Nostalgic store reminds me of their magazine days. One of the most humble artistic small shops that holds art related material to artists from la and internationally . There you can find prints, toys, pins, stickers, T-shirt’s, hats and many more.

As a fan and patron of the arts I wish the store was in Austin so that I could go to it every day. the gallery on the other side of the street also featured really beautiful artwork again I just wish I had more money so I could buy all the things.

This is like a Japanese yard sale put into a store. All sorts of weird nick jacks and art pieces. Yet you can almost always find something interesting that you MUST have.

Cute little shop with Japanese toys and novelties. Pricey, but the stuff is high quality and eclectic. I saw a few things that are from American Animated shows, but the majority was Japanese. I appreciated that it wasnt all common Anime stuff either - it was more artsy. It made me think of a lot of my friends and wished they were in LA with me checking out the store. One of their displays has shirts and art books and nicely drawn serial comics. Overall it was a nice shop to browse in, though I didnt find anything I just had to have for the price. I almost bought the Ninjabread cookie cutters. Those were really awesome.
