What an amazing bike shop! Yesterday I went in to see if my tire could be refilled with air or if it was damaged. My tire was fixed and in perfect shape by an employee within minutes. When I asked how much it would be I was told “happy holidays.” Now that’s customer service to get my tires filled with air. Great people and spirit!! I will be back to give LA GOLDEN BIKE SHOP more business so I can pay them for their great work. Thank you!

I didn’t know anything about bikes before I walked into this shop. All wanted was to buy a bike and take it to a beach and ride it. I was worry that I may ended with paying too much or buy a wrong kind of bike for me. After spending 3 hours with a guy at the shop( I don’t remember his name), I bought two bikes for my wife and myself. I spent about 3 hours riding my new bike and was so satisfy with what we just purchased. I realized how helpful the guy at the shop was and he was very knowledgeable and honest with his products and prices. He answered all that questions( believe me, I had tons of questions) and recommended the right bikes for me and my wife. I do recommend this shop for all the rookies out there. You won’t be disappointed with their service, products, and prices. We need more shops like this

I went on a Monday to purchase a bike for 480 + tax . I ended up not having enough and asked if i could come back in a few days to buy it. The Hispanic male worker stated in a rude tone “we don’t hold anything for anybody “ . I said ok, I’ll come back in a few days and if it’s here . I’ll buy it . I went back two days later and he had bumped up the price to 575 + tax . Lucky I had a body cam rolling and caught the worker on the act . Will never 👎🏼 Shop here again .

Although they dont have decent MTB sport bikes, the one I got survived the Griffith park slopes ant trails. So cannot argue and recommend this rental for riders looking for a cheaper option.

I went to purchase a bike and the look lady was not helpful on the type of bike I would like or which size of bicycle I should have. She walked away after I told her I was pricing the bikes....Saw a bike but I rather go somewhere where my $$$ are appreciated ....maybe it was the color of my skin.🙄

Very dedicated owner and staff. Trust LA Golden to fine-tune your bike, provide parts, &c. But also fine-tune the business transaction, services, price, time, before you walk away. Neighborhood merchants are the best!

They change my tire next day had a flat they didnt double check it for and didnt want to help or patch it back up no refunds nothing they said I was trying to steal from them

Giovanni was amazing ! Omg! We stopped by the shop one day after searching endlessly for bikes . Either online or local . The moment we stepped into the shop, we knew we wanted to give them our business . They were so kind, very knowledgeable, and really honest . You can tell Giovanni has a lot of pride within the products and his family business .We are two new bike owners, he really took his time to show us everything . How to care for the bike, how to use the gears, he even installed our bike rack on the car. Showed up step by step. Then.. my wife couldnt find a seat that she felt comfortable... he switched out 4 different seats to make it perfect. Wow, he was so patient and kind .I will always give them our business and would recommend them for anyone looking for a wonderful shop. We feel so lucky to come across this gem. We will be seeing them for our tune ups, which by the way you get 6months of tune ups for FREE when you purchase directly from them .Also.. to be very honest here. They also have the best bikes weve seen in any LA shop . Dont hesitate to give them business. Know that your money and time is an investment with people who care . Just rode my bike home after the tune up and man I had no idea it would make this great of a difference! Just walked in with no appointment and looked fairly busy. Even so, they took care of me within 2 minutes. I described that a spoke was missing and the guy helping me out caught that I needed an alignment since the back tire wobbled quite a bit. At a very affordable price he took the bike and had it ready in less than 45 minutes. I rode the bike home and felt great. Reliable, affordable and good people. Ill be back for sure.

I think this place is a rip off. He charged me $63 to change my inner tube and tires. It cost more than the bike itself. I will most likely not be going back. He said my inner tubes was messed up but he only said that after I said I didnt ride the bike for over an year. He gives off sketchy car dealer vibes

Popped in for a second look at a bike i wanted, was offered help and greeted when I came in. I was really apprehensive about buying a bike but I did it and dont regret it! I told them what I was looking for and was suggested the bike Ive been eyeing. The owner was really nice, knowledgable, and helpful. You also get a free tune up after a month which is pretty cool.

I went here few days ago to get a new seat + pedals. Everyone at #TeamGoldenBike was friendly, professional, prompt + experienced. Will be back again!

Purchase my first mountain bike here the other day (hardtail). After going to so many stores and bike shops looking for a bike I finally found one here with a reasonable price. All other bike shops are raising their prices due to COVID-19 and everyone looking for a bike not this place!! They have honest prices and the people who work here are very polite and very knowledgeable. Will be telling my friends and family about this bike shop 👍🏾

Actually took my 1st electric🚳scooter to this shop back in 2013 to have a hill climbing kit installed for faster take off and was pleased by their high quality work. Following that positive previous experience, Im now planning to take my 3rd electric🚳scooter to have the front brakes adjusted to maximize its performance. Ill be sure 💯 to follow up with an update on this shop very VERY soon! 😉

They tried to take a copy of my debit card but i stopped them before they did it. They shouldnt have tried to scan my card number and think that i would be ok with that. I didnt give a 1 star bc the fixie i bought for 250 is really nice.

Well I had rear flashing and headlight for $$. They were USB rechargeable and indicated when recharging was needed. I was glad to get ones on my bike way home after finding out mine were donated. Thank you, Golden Bike. You are our neighborhood bike shop. Just please dont let us get surprised with quotes.(By the way, were you able to receive derailleur, rear wheel, shifter and chain from the flowershop? They are from my bike. I got new ones matched to a Copenhagen wheel. )

I went in for a helmet, and this shop had a pretty wide selection for not much square footage. Great customer service and lots of accessories.

The first and last time getting my bike serviced here. I brought my bike just to change the rear tire, the guy came out with the tire and tells me that the it didnt take the preasure. I told him that I had just put in the inner tube 1 day ago, (I rode the bike to the shop) I think he got kind of upset because he had to put in a new inner tube(I dont even think he put in a new one) Then he brings the bike out and said your seat was to old because it broke when I held it as I pushed down on the pedal with my foot At this point I was really upset not only did he take to long for this service (About 30 minutes) but he did more harm then good. To make matters worse he tells me the tire is $40 a new seat $55 + tax and install the bill came out to be $115. I told him it wasnt fair that I had to pay the full price on a new saddle nore the install. He didnt want to discount more then $5 on the saddle. The conclusion after 10 minutes of him saying it wasnt his fault. I asked him dont you have at least a used one you could give me just to ride out of here, he brought one out and said I have this one it cost $20. I couldnt believe it. I then told him fine just take the money, I just want to leave. If I could I would like to give this place a negative star.

They had the tube and adapter I needed and prices were better than Big (sports). Keep these amigos in business.

Their prices are ridiculous expensive comparing with others bike shops.Parts and accessories are overpriced.Repairs are overpriced. And they have very little knowledge about road bike
