Holy mackerel...This huge warehouse of a store has an astonishing selection. They have several, not just one or two Tua Rita selections. They even had other natural or biodynamic stuff I was looking for. Note they are only doing curbside pickup on street level. They do have parking. The pickup procedure went relatively smoothly. Wish they would do pick up at parking level as the street level entrance is RIGHT by a freeway entry point.

The Los Angeles based Wine House has a wine school located at the 2nd floor and approved by the UK based Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET). The school is headed by the internationally acclaimed Monica Marin who has several wine qualifications including the WSET Diploma and she teaches the various levels offered by WSET. I personally started in 2018 with the mid level WSET 2 and then progressed to the advanced WSET level 3 and finally the highly complex and challenging Level 4 Diploma course. The WSET Diploma certification is the pinnacle of wine education and recognized world wide by professionals as well as serious wine enthusiasts. Throughout these courses Monica taught, guided, prodded and encouraged in a professional manner but also with her amazing humor and humility. Today I am proud to have finished and attained my Diploma and I owe a lot to Monica for her encouragement and teaching. I highly recommend The Wine House and Monica Marin if you are considering WSET approved courses.

This store is a real diamond in the rough, most liquor stores are either ick-nasty and have the smell like urine outside the door, but this one is really well kept-up and easy to find what you want. I could browse this store all day, and Im not even a wine connoisseur.

Absolutely awful. I ordered a wine of a 2009 vintage and specifically selected NOT to ship another vintage, if my selection is unavailable. They ship 2012 instead, which is about 40% cheaper and much more easily available nearly everywhere, and never mention a thing, hoping that I would not notice the substitution. Well, I DID notice, and they tried to convince me that this much younger and much cheaper wine was the same value as the one I ordered (about $25 average price for 2012, vs. the $40+ for the 2009 I ordered and paid for).
