I went in for the first time this weekend --the bartender asked to see my vaccination card when I sat down at the bar --I declined, and left. (note: Im vaccinated). The bar was about a quarter full on a Saturday night. When the vaccinated can still carry and spread, showing your papers is virtue signaling theater, and its unfortunate that Tabula is so enthusiastic about applying the mandate. The ambiance of the bar was nice however.

Perfect. Great. Wonderful. Nice vibe. Outdoor seating, and a back garden if youre not ready to sit at a bar indoors. They asked to see my vaccine card, which is a good thing. Wine and Beer.

** Secret sour menu** Seriously I don’t know how but this place has the best Cuban!!! And ask for extra pickles!** Music/AmbienceGreat spot for wine, beer, and some amazing sours. They have an amazing pop up on Wednesday’s with an Italian chef whipping up fresh pasta while a DJ plays some amazing mood tunes. Good vibes, good staff, great lighting, good food (even the nuts and pickles are a nice treat). A must stop for a pop in beverage or two!

One of my favorite restaurant in Korea Town! Best service, variety of buffet options, and quality meat! You would rather dine here than fogo, hands down! My friends and I celebrate all of our birthdays every year here and wouldnt go anywhere else for the quality and service. Clean, classy, and tasty!

The barkeep spins well-paced choices in vintage and new-found wax spanning the decades. On hand are a smattering of good things bubbled and mixed. Its all here from Old Skool hip-hop to down-tempo chill. This includes the beers list.

Cute and cozy bar. We walked right passed it and missed it. Look for a dark grey open door with the outline of a mans profile in white and a staircase. Its between what used to be Ruby Skye and is now called August Hall, and Hotel G on the corner. The drinks were interesting. We had the Branch Water which was really good. The vibe was nice and warm. Its not very big, so best for small groups or a date.

Went there for the first time yesterday but was for a take out. I ordered a chirashi to-go. The fish was fresh and they boxed the rice and the fish separately, which was nice! However, right before I left I checked to make sure they gave me everything but I didnt see the soy sauce, I asked the waitress and she said its inside the box, I asked for extra just in case.... when I got home, sure enough, there wasnt any in the box. So if youre getting take-out, make sure you double-check to make sure you have everything!

RUDEST MANAGER/OWNER EVER!!!!!!!We dont need your business is the responses you will get when you ask why your reservation was for the outdoor patio and a cold winter night and they did not tell you it would be outside.Literally zero interest in trying to resolve the issue or even caring that youre cold. Let alone trying to just be polite and appologize.

I came here with some friends on a Saturday night to get some drinks. Its a bit hard to find since its theres no sign out in the front. It is located on the right of August Hall, youll see a single door open that doesnt look like it really belongs and then inside stairs to go up. Youll know youre at the right place if you see the logo of a mans face on the wall.

Small, dark and modesty finished, this neighborhood bar could feel a little more welcoming. Decent selection of wines, tunes a la vinyl, and a bar-food menu thats served into the night. Price is typical, beers being a slightly better buy. But if youre looking to enhance your wine knowledge and pallet via wine flights, youll be let down to know they are strangely only offer apartif flights... Well see if that catches on.

Review №37

This place is great, and if I knew anything about wine besides how to gobble it down, I would probably be even more stoked on it because they are clearly obsessed with wine. I kinda feel like I have “quantum leap” with my wallet here though: I remember walking in...sitting on a surprisingly comfortable stool...blinking...then being handed a $90 bill. Probably the fastest way to get rid of money for a good ten block radius —but having said that, if you have taste AND money you will be pumped on this beyond your wildest foodie dreams. My only complaint is that I wish they could bring back those insanely good burgers they used to make on the little dorm-room grill. I wish I could find the little narc that ratted that situation out to the Fire Dept or whatever and give them a wedgie. I would risk the entire neighborhood going up for just one of those burgers. They were delicious.

Unlike some of you gratuitous googlers I dont throw five star reviews around like ticker tape at another Yankees parade... When Christopher DeLoach leaves five stars it means something. Like a spaghetti western soundtrack, you can count on DeLoach to deliver the goods. Its in keeping with this spirit that I present my five star review of Tabula Rasa Natural Wine Bar.To get five stars from DeLoach a business must satisfy the Five As of Hospitality and Excellence. They are as follows.AcumenActivationAuthenticityAmazingAnd Artistry.Tabula Rasa has got it all baby.First is acumen. From the first time through the last time I patronized this fine natural wine bar (roughly eighty times now) the staff, especially the tall slender fellow with the sun stroked straw hair, have treated me and my accompaniment with acumen. Bingo.Activation... Alot of people who go out for natural wine dont know about activation. Let me tell you sister. Activation is that tingling sensation one gets when the native yeast sauce hits their tongue. Its the five or six ounces of fire that swim in primitive inebriating bliss in fine crystal. Its the french expression slipping my memory at this precise moment. The one they reference and employ in the film Millers Crossing in that intro scene. Tabula has activation. It activates you.Authenticity. Theyve got that too.Listen I cant fully get into this here right now because Im at work but trust me. Amazing and artistry are omnipresent once you walk in that joint. In the words of Francis Albert. Its witch craft.God Bless You

Really no idea how many stars to assign. This is based on what I could see through the front door glass in glaring sunshine. I wandered by on Sunday afternoon and tried to open the front door but it was locked. A shadowy figure behind the bar seemed to wave at me, or made an indeterminate gesture. I decided they were closed. Then I noticed the posted hours on the window, saying they open at 2pm on Sundays. It was 2:10. Maybe they should just say they’re open at 3:00...

Excellent Happy Hour; killer Cuban sandwich (more like a Media Noche in shape, not the traditional Cuban white bread roll. The meats, flavors and composition are spot on — I’ve had quite a few Cubanos in LA county and this one is now my favorite.); friendly staff. Also some great food pop ups on the calendar— I tried the Santa Maria BBQ one at the end of September 2018 and can’t wait to go back. They also have a pizza popup on the monthly calendar. Cozy bar, not sceney, extensive drink list of beers, wines, etc.

Awesome neighborhood wino bar with beer selection on our block!! They also have snacks/food. Its been getting busier and catching on. Came on Saturday night maybe around 10pm and all the seats were taken. But folks come and go at different times, so youll possibly find a seat.Small outdoor smoking area.Service: Very friendly.Local watering hole. Not pretentious. Chill atmosphere. Your bartenders are dressed causal. Crowd may range from late 20s - early 40s? Still a hip place with the music and atmosphere.Been waiting for this place to open and watching it develop since the first Los Feliz neighborhood council meeting notification a year ago about its planning, zoning and historic preservation committee for stakeholders living close by. Will there be a live band at some point?? Notification stated possibly bands playing here?Located in Los Feliz, borderline east hollywood with Thai Town with great drunk food across the street. So its a fun stroll around before or after. Block away from other popular bars like Jumbo Clown room and Harvad & Stone a block west.
