Mechanics, am I right? You can’t live with them, you can’t live without them. Such a dangerous game when it comes to the search and in most cases we don’t always get the time or have enough energy to give it proper research to make the right choice. When we come across vehicle issues, it usually puts us in dire need of help. This was me. I somehow damaged the under casing of something and when Toyota wanted to charge me $600 to replace it but still charge me $100 for literally lifting my car to see the damage I was in a scramble. My luck brought me to Affordable Care on Google. Thank the mechanics above because it was the first and last stop I had to make for my car needs. Just from the initial phone call, I felt it was the right place to go. Plus, how can you not love the name? The nail in my decisiveness was meeting Stacey. One chat and it’s like you’ve been going to him for ages. He’s down to earth, straight forward, and very personable. I can’t tell you enough how much I appreciate someone keeping it real. It’s a cherry on top that you literally can’t beat his rates. It is first person first serve, so if you need something done and want to be first in line, I’d suggest arriving 1 1/2 hours before their scheduled opening. I haven’t been disappointed yet except for when I moved to San Diego knowing I’m way out of range for this shop. If you have the time and you’re in need, Stacey has your back. Always and forever. 🤣

I was just passing through town on cross country road trip in my 1998 Toyota Tacoma that I just purchased. Its a 23 year old truck with 230k miles on it so I just wanted to make sure everything was in good shape before I headed back east. I looked up Affordable Care and decided to bring it based on the reviews of their honesty and customer service. I quickly realized why they have the stellar reputation they do.I brought my truck in at 7:45 before the opened and there were already 5 people ahead of me to drop their car off. This is a first come first serve shop for walk ins. I was just getting the $45 general diagnostic fee and left the truck with Stacey and his team. Stacey called me by noon to tell my truck was ready to go and everything looked good. When I get there to pick it up he insisted on waiving the $45 diagnostic fee and sent me on my way free of charge even though he knew I wasnt local and wouldnt be a return customer. He gave me a heads up on maintenance I need to be on the lookout for down the road. This is how you do business the right way and cultivate this type of reputation. Dont take your car anywhere else.

I really like this place. They are very professional and efficient. When I had my ‘98 Camry, this was the only place in the area that was able to fix it. Every other mechanic I went to would tell me lots of things and fix something, but it clearly wasnt it because the problems persisted.I wasted lots of time and money. After coming here, no further problems. I later sold the car and havent had the need for a mechanic (knock on wood). But if I do, I know where to go.

Places like this are rare nowadays. Stacy and crew are the most knowledgeable and trustworthy mechanics youll ever find. Dont believe me? Come in for yourself and I promise you wont take your car anywhere else. Ive been coming here for Four years now and Stacy will give you the run down on your vehicle, problems that are common with that particular model, and everything you need to be aware of about your car before you decide to have any work done. Once the car is worked on they will store all maintenance history in the computer and come up with a schedule to keep your car running in optimal shape. All mechanics here are top certified for Acura/Honda/Toyota/lexus, and the pricing is always fair. They really treat your car as if it was their own, are extremely busy, and operate on a first come first serve basis. So Id advise you to get there at least a half hour early. Saturday they are open for appointments only, So call ahead and plan accordingly.

I moved out to LA recently and was in need of a mechanic but someone I could trust with my car for an affordable price because we all know how expensive LA is. I was having power steering fluid leaks and I was told what exactly was wrong with my car when I asked a question about a code on my check engine light he was fast to respond and very professional. I had nothing but a great experience with these guys, I highly recommend you use their services and I will be back soon to take care of the other problems with my car.

I didnt think a mechanic like this existed. Stacey was super easy to work with, he explains everything theyre doing and why theyre doing it.Price is straight forward and he went with a cheaper solution at first to see if it would fix my issue.All in all, I had a blown head gasket on my 2013 prius and they fixed it for 1/3 - 1/5 of the cost toyota was quoting me.They did a little extra and fixed some spark plugs also.Great experience and they will have my business as long as I have this car or any type of car they work on.Hats off for great, transparent service!!!

My VW was leaking oil, so I brought it to Affordable Care at 9am, and they fixed it within 2 hours. Since I came from CA, they gave me the VIP treatment and drove me to Starbucks near the mall to wait. They came back to pick me up right before the job was finished. The price was very reasonable for replacing a cracked oil pan. Very pleased with their service and professionalism. I think Ive found a new mechanic!

Prompt and knowledgeable. Had called previously, and actually got my issue fixed over the phone (well, I did the actual fixing on car, but Stacy was able to provide diagnosis on my 4wheeled baby). Great service. I was freaking out when my check engine light went on and the car had several codes. But he was honest, did a quick fix, didnt even charge. Will definitely be back for routine maintenance. Update: had to take car in. It took a while to be seen, but he was thorough with explaining what he did, and didnt charge me a thing!

Stacy at Affordable Care was kind, quick to diagnose and explain my car’s problems, and was able to fix the car at an affordable price. True to the name and an easy experience. I arrived five minutes before 8am and was able to be helped before 8:20. Get there when it opens!

Honest and reliable. Highly recommend these guys. Just got my Lexus brake pads replaced and rotors resurfaced. He explained clearly what he was charging for and the price was fair. They have the popular oem brands as well ( like Nissin or Akebono). Hopefully no issues going forward.

This is the best Honda and Toyota auto shop in Los Angeles. The service here is unmatched in speed, courtesy, and knowledge without any attitude. The owner loves to communicate as distinctly as possible to allow everyone to make the best decision. The shop is first come first serve Monday through Friday, so show up at 8 to get in the queue.

Stacy and his team are absolutely wonderful. My family has only gone to Stacy for the past ten years and he has never let us down. He will take you through and even show you exactly what needs to be fixed so you know 100% what you’re paying for and what is being done. You can even call in with questions and Stacy kindly takes them all. One thing: there can be quite a wait so for the fastest service get there around 7:30. He’ll take your keys & hear what you have to say then call you later wherever you are with whats wrong and what they’ll do.

Stacey, the owner, was very friendly and personable. Theyve won my business going forward, its nice to have someone you can trust working on my car.

Stacey and his crew are THE REAL DEAL! Ive taken my 04 Acura TL to him several times during the last 3 years. Each time the needed repairs were done quickly and at a super reasonable cost.On top of that... Stacey does not try and push unneeded repairs on you. I have used this place a few times. I switch between Hollywood Toyota dealer and this place. I prefer this place because of Yelp reviews. Once at the Toyota dealers shop for multipoint inspection I was told I am missing engine cover. My car is always parked in our garage, I do not park on street. The car has never gone to any other mechanic. Thus, the engine cover was misplaced either here during service or in the Toyota dealers shop. Stacy checked here and could not find in the shop. I am wondering if anyone else has similar experience.

Most honest mechanic(s) there are. Half the time they fix and its so small they dont charge me. Theyve also told me to go to the dealer and how to deal with the dealership to obtain out-of-warranty repairs before. And when they do work on my car... Excellent service.

Called Garry about an 87 Corolla that I wanted to buy from an estate. It had failed smog and I needed to find out why and whether it was worth getting fixed.

Came here without an appointment at 2pm, knowing that they close at 5pm. However Stacey said theyre always swamped and wont get to me until 4pm. I had no where else to go since I had to leave my car parked there, so I just sat in their waiting room for THREE hours. That was the longest three hours of my life, it was miserable. He did give me the wifi password which was nice.Stacey finally checked out my car and told me to come with him. He showed me different parts of the engine and explained in great detail so many aspects of a car that I had never known about. He was really trying to teach me, which is unlike anything I have ever seen before, so that was a nice touch.He was only able to give me a quick overview of my car since by that time it was about 5pm, so it was no charge. I do wish they would speed things up a bit, since the duration was most annoying to me.

Regarding the 3 star review below, please note its an outlier. Also keep in mind that Stacey is very busy because hes honest, knowledgeable, professional, and takes time to explain exactly whats going on and why repair is OR ISNT necessary. Great mechanic! Just make appt or get there early.

Read the reviews, looking for an honest mechanic to assist my son who is new to the area area and me in Texas. Called and spoke to Stacy, we both agreed that it could be the clutch issue on a Acura TSX a quoted 1200.00 repair. But Stacy asked that let the team check the car first. The team found that it wasnt the clutch but a bad coil. Stacy knowing that I was in Texas, he could have told me that everything was bad but he told me exactly what was the problem and the price to repair. Thank you Stacy and company, you have a new customer.

Pros: Tremondously good price and timely completion for a timing chain and water pump service.Cons: They left a bolt loose that made the front right rattle at starts and stops.
