I have used an auto broker in the past but what sets SMG/Clyde apart from my previous experience is his knowledge, honesty and personable nature. For example, he explained to me about the whole process of Trucar quotes and their tactic to just get you into the dealership regardless of if they have your desired car or not.He is like a car therapist where he listens, offers suggestions, but is also empathic, respectful of your decision and isnt pushy or judgmental.Also, no car is too cheap for SMG as I wanted to purchase an affordable commuter car. So I finally took delivery of my new car last week. Edwin and Adriana have been nothing but great help.The process took longer than usual car buying process since I choose to special order my car from Italy. Edwin has been extremely patient with me throughout the entire process.Today I went to SMG HQ to pick up the car. I was in and out less then 30 min. Edwin also connected me with a buyer for my current car which I sold right on the spot. They also beat carmaxs price too.The process cannot be easier. I found SMG auto brokers online after reviewing many different companies. When I bought my house last year I used a broker obviously. So when I was ready for my new car i thought to my self. Are there people that can help me with this. I hate going to car dealerships and I’m sure so do a lot of other people. I googled Car Broker and a bunch showed up to my surprise!! This company SMG seemed to be everywhere. I saw that they have a few locations also. I live in the Hollywood Hills area so I contacted the location that showed up closest to me!! They don’t answer the phone, which I thought was weird. They ask you to go to there website and fill in what your are looking for. I thought about going to the next broker but I saw all the reviews and figured I’d give them a shot!! I later realized why they do this!! They are extremely busy and known to be the largest auto broker firm in California. I thought about other business’s that are really busy. You have to wait in line if you want something good right. Makes sense. It’s like going to the DMV. You don’t get to just walk up to the window and get help. You have to pull a number and sit there and wait. It’s annoying but it’s worth it. I finally got on a call with Clyde and wow was he worth the wait. The guy knows the business inside out, he is a huge car guy, you can tell just by taking to him. He’s not quick to get you off the phone at all and he was very honest and told me it was too soon for me to get the car!! He told me If I waited until November I’d be able to get a better deal. He said not to wait till December because that’s when all the good inventory for 2018 Model Prius’s are all gone!! He was great. Kept in touch the last 2 months and finally yesterday he got me my new Prius. I got such an amazing deal, the service was great and not pushy at all. Clyde wasn’t able to make it out to my house but one of his reps delivered the car straight to my doorstep!! It was awesome.
