This bangluck market is much better, well packed, with much better inventory than the one on Sherman way in the valley. Service was not bad. Checkout counters are small and weird. But then the store itself is shaped weird and a little dark compared to other grocery stores. Thia is my first time there. It will take a few more trips to get used to it. Regardless of what the store looks like, this is good place for oreintal grocery shopping and i will definitely go back again.

Good source of viet and thai groceries. Organized. So many choices for diffrent types of uncooked noodles. Lady cashier was helpful. Limited parking. Lots of asian condiments too. Found my favorite kiamoy when i was a kid. Good shopping experience.

Theyve got fresh kefir lime leaves, lemongrass, dried chunks of galangal and other things that are hard to find. Everyone was wearing masks. The aisles are a little tight but I didnt feel unsafe, and Ill come back to buy more stuff

Cool market that has many items youd need if youre trying to prepare thai food. They are much nicer than the folks at Siam market which is why Im so glad I found them. I dont recommend the raw meat because the butcher area didnt smell very good.

The butcher here is amazing. Fresh produce at reasonable prices. They have my favorite Thai Penang Sauce from Mae Ploy.

Bang luck Market is such a good Thai place! I heard so many good things about it and so when I was craving Thai food it was perfect. The food is good, the lunch special is a good deal, and the service is very home-y!

Its a small Thai market that has almost everything you need for Thai cooking. The only draw back is parking that is almost non existence in the area unless you are lucky. They try to accommodate you as much as they can but you can only fit so many cars in the small parking area that is shared with a popular restaurant also.

Terrible, foul smelling, unpleasant experience. I have been here several times, always looking for a specialty Asian item for recipes my wife likes to prepare. This time it was something easy; egg roll wrappers, easy right? Wrong! First, the woman up front sent me to aisle 1 where there was nothing but dry noodles - no egg roll wrappers period. I checked the #1 refrigerator door to eliminate that possibility but not there either.I went back to her and asked again, please, I need egg roll wrappers - they may be refrigerated, they may be frozen but unlikely they are dry... She says oh you mean frozen? Hopefully, I say yes! Ill take them frozen or refrigerated! She says go to door 14 or maybe 13 Okay, I go. Guess what? No egg roll wrapper... Can you help me? I get a blank, unblinking stare like I am speaking Martian.Besides the fact that no food market should smell like rotten fish or maybe rotten meat no retail market should be so openly hostile. I learned my lesson, I am unwelcome as a customer, it couldnt have been more obvious. Ill find another, better smelling, cleaner, friendlier place to trade. Never again. :-(

They have a good selection, quality ingredients and great prices. This is where you get your bang for your buck (no pun intended). I will definitely come here again, some of the prices are better than what youd find at Ralphs.

Clean store and has everything you need yo make a dish also lots of thai basil...green mango..bags of fresh peeled garlic cloves..bean sprouts or mintEmployees are nice and friendly...just ask for something and they will show. The store is authentic and has everything you would need...I almost forgot if you buy a fresh there they will deep fry it for you for free.

Came here for the Malaysian food! Ordered the beef rendang and mee goreng. Both really flavorful and fairly priced. Service was amazing - food came out pretty quickly and was seated right away on a Friday evening around 5:30. The waiters were so friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend .

Fast and good service! Food was decent and all their food had good flavor :) we got the pad kee mao, pho, mi goreng, dumplings and Tom yum soup!

I came to Bangluck Market because Bangkok Market on Melrose Ave closed in mid November 2019. Though eventually I wouldve tried Bangluck anyway. If youre used to Bangkok Market as I was (Id been going to Bangkok Market since the mid 1980s, it was only a few blocks away from me), youll probably be disappointed by Bangluck Market, as I was. But if youve never been to Bangkok Market, you wont know what youre missing. Someone needs to open a new Thai Market in the East Melrose area (that part of Melrose Ave between Western Ave and Vermont Ave, the East Hollywood part of Melrose Ave) now that Bangkok Market is gone. That area has been left without a Thai market (there is a Phillipino market, Tambuli, on Vermont near Melrose, but they dont have many of the things I found at Bangkok). Ive only went inside Bangluck Market once. Its not close by to where Im at. Its much smaller than Bangkok Market was, and theres only narrow space between the aisles, making it a cramped store with high shelves that are close to each other. While Bangkok had a lot of space between aisles and was a very laid-back, open store, with a nice smell. I didnt notice bad smells at Bangluck though, but I didnt explore the entire little market. The staff at Bangkok was very nice, while the workers at Bangluck mostly dont seem to be. Well, Ill be visiting Bangluck Market only rarely, and I dont much like Silom market either. Bangkok Market had its own big parking lot, but Bangluck doesnt, they share parking spaces with several other businesses in a small strip mall.

Pretty authentic curries - Id stick to the Thai and Malaysian foods. Place had super friendly staff that gave my kids extra special attention .

Great place to pick up snacks from different Asian countries. A great place for cheap eats and for exploring. Right in the heart of Thai town, this market is surrounded by a bunch of momma and poppa shops that offer great foods.

The best place in town where they fry your fish in about 10 minutes .The prices are good for fried tilapia..If your into exotic southeast Asian snacks and drinks then this is the place.

Perhaps the only place that has eggs at this time. Also plenty of meat, they dont have many veggie items though.

There were shops in the area, but when I left the shop, I was asked to confirm my bag. The clerk was also a little frustrated. Another shop had a wanted list of shoplifters, so the security around them may not be so good. In any case, it is not a shop that you can go for a little shopping.
