Yes the mattress was 2,000 but I literally haven’t slept better in my entire life. This mattress was a life saver.

Poor customer service when charging a $70 restocking fee on a $350 mattress, good for a 20% penalty for ordering the wrong thickness during a pandemic when in-person interaction is severely limited. I picked up my own order too, so they’re simply skimming off the top. No assistance loading either, so I was left to fend for myself. None of this is required by the shop, but when placing a total order of $1,200 you expect better customer service and quality. See photo attached for damage on the product upon opening.The cherry on top was their rewards program, which not only expires but only gave me $2.30 on my order, a paltry 0.2% return. Why would you even offer the program...Lost any recurring business for me in the future, I recommend no one order online.

There is street parking. Loading in ally in back. Pick up of my order was easy. They recommend ordering directly from store if you want things to arrive faster than Id you order online. Got myself some tatami mats.

Like the other reviews say, horrible customer service. My husband and I purchased a very expensive frame and mattress online. Because of covid concerns, we didn’t see it in the shop. Once we picked up the mattress and set it up, we realized that the futon was not comfortable and it didn’t look good in our room. The shop will not allow returns. They won’t even allow store credit because we took the futon out of the box. During a pandemic, when It isn’t safe to be in public spaces, it is shameful they will not allow returns when we can’t see the products beforehand. It might be because they’d never actually keep a sale

Edith is hands down the BEST!! She was kind, patient, and explained everything from start to finish. Not once did I feel pressured to buy & im in sales so I know when someone is using the “tactics”. She didn’t. At all. It was the complete opposite, in fact. We got amazing customer service & can’t wait to get our futon!!! We found an awesome king size mattress here. The guys at the store were super helpful and negotiated a fair price for us to get the exact mattress we wanted at a price we could afford. There was no haggling, sleaziness or pressure to buy and we felt totally at ease. Would definitely recommend!

Today we returned to The Futon Shop to check out their Organic beds. We were here about 6 months ago and purchased an awesome futon couch. Totally organic with an amazing natural oak frame all made in the USA! Edith, the store manager, was so helpful then and again today as we picked out a new 100% organic futon mattress. Great! My first brand-new futon purchase. I wanted a natural, environmentally conscious futon, made in the USA if possible. So lucky to have the Futon Shop in my neighborhood! Matthew, Scott, and Edith all helped me figure out exactly which futon and frame I needed. Love that the business is based in California, and the futons are American-made. This is our second big purchase at the Futon Shop LA. We bought a futon couch 6 months ago and love it. It is extremely comfortable and looks great. Today we are buying a futon bed. It is completely organic. Edith is the manager and she is so knowledgeable and patient in answering our questions. She really truly fabulous!

By far the best futon shop in the West. They have organic, all natural fibers and Scott at the Pico store was very knowledgeable and helpful. We came from Tucson, AZ after researching in line. He helped us find the exact mattress we were looking for. We got the Valentines sale and are looking forward to our new mattress which should in about 2 weeks. Thx.

Coming back to revise my review! Switched from one to three stars. While I’m still not a big fan of their customer service, their products are really good. So... there’s that!I really fell in love with what this store had to offer. It’s unfortunate that the customer service was so bad. My husband and I, along with our three kiddos, were so happy to be shopping for pillows for our new home. When we walked into the store we were not greeted. When we asked for help, the gentleman working kind of just pointed in the direction. However, he walked a woman over to the same area and sat with he to help her. After that, he told us that he would get to us next and wanted to make sure that he helped the customer before us. So we waited - and patiently. So when he was done with that customer, we were thrilled. However, someone new walked in and rather than help us, he helped that gentleman and asked us to wait again - but not before he mentioned that he thought what we wanted was too expensive.We left. We had the pillows we wanted and planned to purchase custom ones, but we put the pillows back and left. I hope that you all will work harder to be better to all customers.

Decided last minute to buy a futon for my new studio apartment and noticed that the Futon Shop had a sick sale but couldnt make it in time to purchase in store. One of the only places where you can get chemical free mattresses and furniture at comparatively reasonable prices, especially if you can catch one of their sales which happen pretty frequently. Great customer service. I believe theyre a California based company and many (maybe all, I just dont know) of their materials are sustainably sourced in the US. Its hard to find companies like that these days and I appreciate what they are doing! Plus their mattresses are very comfortable and long lasting, our futon mattress has held up very well so far, and the frames seem to be high quality.

I walked into The Futon Shop after a long day, and I was feeling frustrated about not being able to find the right mattress. I kept dreaming about this super comfy futon at my parents house that I use when I visit them and wished I could find something similar. I stumbled upon your store one day rushing through Pico Blvd. I almost crashed when your window display caught my eye. A Futon store with style! A month later I returned and Scott Taylor was extremely helpful and presented to me all the options available. He did not try to push or sell me anything. We were able to buy a futon cover and it was in stock at the store (so we didnt have to wait for delivery).

Their after sales is APPALlNG! NO ETHICS! When I had a problem NO ONE replied. On calling again I was told that the problem was too SMALL for their insurance company to deal with. They suggested I CUT the gapping thread knot!!! which of course would have led to huge unraveling. So NO REPLY and they PASS THE BUCK to another assistant or insurance company.

First futon lost its shape less than 6 months in. 2nd futon was a $2,400 one that has been giving me & my girlfriend terrible back pain. One of the worst & most over priced futons/mattresses Ive slept on. Ive felt the better sleeping on floors.
