I had Drivers Choice Motors install a new exhaust on my 2020 718 Spyder. I received good advice during the initial consultation and the job was done to perfection. Despite the job not being easy, they did everything that was needed to get exactly what I wanted, and to make sure future maintenance or modifications will be easy to do.I was recommended a Soul Performance exhaust system, and my car now sounds absolutely amazing. This is a new car, I absolutely love it!The staff was very friendly from beginning to end, they are very passionate and knowledgeable. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Professional and FriendlyThis was my first visit to Drivers Choice. It was a very refreshing experience compared to the Porsche dealerships Ive dealt with in the past. The garage is fully insulated and air conditioned.Miki, the front desk lady, was very helpful and accommodating while I tried to schedule an appointment for my Intermediate Service. Be advised, they are very busy and space is limited. So make sure you book in advance. They will not hold your car in their facility if they cant get you in, which is nice.The owners and mechanics are friendly and professionals. The communication with the customer is great, and they keep you in the loop throughout the service.Well done, highly recommended.

Had my 986 drivers ed car in for alignment ahead of a Sebring event. They were booked solid but had me bring the car in to be worked in. Simone called me with the existing alignment numbers, and made a couple of suggestions. Had it done and back to me the same day! Excellent communication and service from everyone there. Cant go wrong working with Drivers Choice for your daily driver or your track car.

Finding someone who would work on the Porsche was hard until we found Drivers Choice. Drivers Choice has been my chosen maintainer for my 2012 Porsche 911 S starting with the PPI done two years ago. Brought my 99 Porsche 911 to these guys and I was very pleased with their service, price and attention to detail. They also were great about helping me with an additional problem that came up after my service and getting it taken care of. Its a bit of a drive to gt to for me, but they get the problems taken care of and do not overcharge or do unnecessary work. This is my place for Porsche work. Nicki is great as your front desk point of contact and Simon was amazing at doing the work and explaining everything that they were doing.

These guys are great! I had to get 4 tires a couple of weeks ago, they made special arrangements so that I could drop off my car on Sunday and they saved me $1,000. Wonderful experience. They are very meticulous with their work and my car. The facilities are insanely clean and neat. During wheel replacement they forgot to put the wheel lock back in my car (which I didnt know) and to my surprise, one of the guys showed up at my job with the lock the very next day. Now THAT is service. They were very thorough in going over my car checking it over for any issues that I was unaware of. Repair work top notch. Pricing is more than reasonable for Porsché. Cant recommend them highly enough.

On the return trip from a recent HPDE, my clutch started to fail. I reached out to Mike Colon at Drivers Choice and he agreed to have me drop the car at the shop assuming I made it that far. Luckily I did. Simon had the car repaired quickly and I was back on the road after a detailed explanation of the repairs. Met Mike and Simon at a PCA track day. Started taking my 911 for all maintenance and track inspections. Top notch guys! If they tell you that you need it, you do. If you dont, they wont try to sell you anything. I have since purchased a track car from them, and even used them as driving instructors. Recently purchased a 997.2, 911S Cabriolet. Needed a few updates to bring the service current and a fellow 911 owner recommended Drivers Choice. Upon the very first visit I learned a lot from Mike and Simon about the car. One appointment later the car was humming like new at a substantial savings. When I got there, everything was clean and the folks friendly. I met Mike and Simon who are the owners and they showed me the facilities and made me feel welcome and valued. I was referred by my brother to take my Boxster S to DCM. I called after hrs, Mike returned my call and was able to make arrangements for a diagnostic test. I recently had my 911 repaired at Drivers Choice I had a bad transmission and we replaced it. Several months after my repair I had another failure with the transmission. Mike and Simon diagnosed the problem and were very honest about the failure. Im extremely happy with Drivers Choice and they have a customer for life. Recommend HIGHLY!!

I have two Porsches currently serviced by Drivers Choice a GT4 and a 993 RUF turbo. The 993 which has been modified has its particulars. Drivers Choice purchased new tools and coordinated the proper sub contractors to do things right after a 7,500 mile coast to coast road trip. They treat me as I would treat myself if our roles were reversed. You can trust them with your prized Porsche(s).

First of all the Porsche drivers, stop taking your business elsewhere including the Porsche dealership and bring it here.I am a physician and a single guy, who is busy for whatever reason all the time. And I seldom write reviews and when I do, its mostly to share information so that people in my shoes can make a better decision.Mike and the team are amazing. Their love for cars is out-rightly visible and infectious.My first encounter with them was for my boxsters 4 year service. Porsche dealership had quoted me a cool 2000$. I found Drivers Choice on google and decided to give them a try.Mike and his team got the whole service and a few additional stuff done in approx 1000$.A little while after the first encounter, I decided to sell my car.Nothing against my car, but i was tired of driving low-seated.I visited a few dealerships and they took a lot of my time and quoted way less than the KBB value.I talked to Mike about it and he said he would help me sell it. And he was able to do it in a timely manner and got me a handsome deal.Every interaction with them has been seamless, welcoming and enjoyable, which can be seldom said of a car service shop and almost never of a Porsche dealership.They are worth way more than 5 stars and I do hope that you guys give them a chance.I was so impressed, I gifted Mike with a Macallan 15 year bottle. Guess that should put any other doubts to rest :)

I own an older Targa, so besides the normal annual maintenance, Drivers Choice always provide expert advice and professional work on those items that eventually need replacement (e.g., brakes, clutch. etc.). In addition, the customer service is exceptional and any repairs are always completed within timesframes promised.

They just know what they are DOING an the cost much better than Porsche Dealers .

A great follow up to my previous post. I purchased my car thru Porsche of Orlando in June of 2018 and they had some repairs done by Drivers Choice Motor (read previous review). When i changed my oil i noticed a leak between the engine and trans which was work previously performed by Drivers Choice. I expected to hear that since i purchased the car thru Porsche of Orlando they would not be able to help since I didnt have the work done by them. I sent an email to them explaining the situation without high hopes. To my surprise Mike the owner emailed me back within minutes informing me they would gladly look at it and would perform any needed warranty repairs assuming that was the problem. He asked that i contact the office monday and make an appt. I explained my work schedule was hectic and i would not be able to drop it off until the week of xmas. To my surprise Mike offered to meet up at the shop over the weekend while they were closed so i could drop the car off. What kind of shop would do that? I met Mike up at the shop and not only did he meet me up on his family time, he showed me the entire facility and sat and made small talk about Porsches, PCA and racing. I knew at this point my car was again in good hands. When i left he said they had some stuff scheduled for monday but they would call me Tuesday when then looked at it. To my surprise he called me monday morning to let me know they had already pulled the transmission and it was infact warranty work. I asked them to also give me a deal on some additional work and i would have them take care of it as well. Not only was the deal on the additional work amazing, they had the car completed before they had even thought they would be able to look at it. The mechanic industry has always had a bad name. These people are the real deal. If you have a Porsche and want it taken care of by trusted people for a fair price, Give Mike a call. He will exceed your expectations.

These guys service newer water cooled 911, cayman, cayenne, and boxers and more. They race and are experts at digital alignments and computer managed porsche systems, among other things. If you need your newer porsche serviced or set up for a race event, they are an excellent choice.Update 2020:They are open and still kickn tires in all the right ways. Had a shaking in my steering wheel at speed... they totally fixed that.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP!!!!!!!!!!!!On JULY 3rd 2018 i took my 911 carrea convertible in to drivers choice due to an issue with the modulator which is located under the drivers seat where water entered from the heavy rains that we have been having lately, i advised the shop of this and was told that it was 2 to 3 hours of INTENSIVE LABOR to switch out the modulator, they also told me that i should leave the car there as it might take them a week to figure out how the water got into the car AND TO DRY OUT THE CAR just fyi when i got the car home i took a hair dryer to the wet area and the car was COMPLETELY DRIED OUT IN 15 MINUTES, i mean lets face the wet area is around 2 to 3 square feet if that how can it possibly take a WEEK to dry it out, they also knew that it was the modulator as the car started to malfunction while torrential rains were ongoing, so what is there to diagnose that is going to take days and days? i told them that i lived in MERRITT ISLAND and that i couldnt leave the car there as i had noway of getting back home, they commenced work on my car at 2 pm and by 2.45 pm they were finished WITH THE SO CALLED INTENSIVE LABOR, to do the INTENSIVE LABOR required for the job was this, remove four bolts that attaches the seat to the chassis, remove the seat, that took about 3 to 5 minutes at the most, shop vac most off the water in the back part of the vehicle, that took about 5 to 7 minutes switch out the modulator clean the plugins to reattach the modulator put the modulator into a plastic bag reattach the plugs put it back in place around 5 minutes, put some moisture absorbing material to absorb the rest of the little amount of water that might be left, and while he had the seat out i noticed some debris AND WHILE HE HAD THE WET VAC IN HIS HAND AND HE WAS VACUMING OUT THE WATER I ASKED SIMON IF HE COULD VAC OUT THE LITTLE BIT OF DEBRIS AND HE BECAME VERY NASTY AND SAID I HAVE ALREADY GONE OVER AND BEYOND WHAT I SHOULD HAVE DONE AND HE PUT THE SEAT BACK AND LEFT THE DEBRIS THERE!!! Around 3 to 5 minutes to put the seat back,THEN HE SPENT AROUND 3 MINUTES WHILE HE SO CALLED REPROGRAMMED THE MODULATOR BACK TO FACTORY RESET, and as i state later in this review he cleared out the drainage lines around 5 minutes and believe me when i tell you that i am being generous with the time frames that i am stating here, SIMON the head mechanic had a sour attitude and didnt seem to happy that it had been a year since i had been there and for some reason after he had diagnosed the issue of the water entry and had cleared the minor problem which was entry of the water from the drainage vents underneath the convertible top and in the front storage trunk which was due to a buildup up of leaves in the drainage vents, instead of just releasing the vehicle back to me he kept messing with the window and the convertible top he had the 2 rear cables which attaches the back part of the top to the vehicle disconnected and he repeatedly kept bringing the top up and down and messing with the window, all of a sudden i heard a loud crash and my rear quarter panel window vanished and i asked the mechanic SIMON what that was and he smiled and told me it was the regulator and that it would have to be repaired i asked him how much it would cost and he said around $1000.00 he used his favorite term which is the job was LABOR INTENSIVE the same phrase he used when he said it was a 2 to 3 hour job to change the modulator which took less than 45 minutes.Just use common sense and you will figure out that it is not a 2to 3 hour job.It is a common fact that a car thief can strip a car in minutes.I called the dealership and i was told that they would have replaced the window free of charge.This is not so much about the money but more about the nasty attitude of the mechanic.I have no reason to lie.I will tell you these guys are very slick and can talk the talk but at the end of the day after you have read this review you can come to your own conclusion, of course the owner will respond with lies!

This will be an odd review as i personally have no experience with this shop, but my car does. A few weeks ago i found a 2004 911 C4S Cabriolet at Porsche of Orlando that i was interested in buying. We came to an agreement on price and also added in for the Clutch, Rear main seal, and IMS bearing be replaced. To my suprise the sales associate Teddy disclosed that they personally would not be doing the repairs. They actually would be sending the car to Drivers Choice as they are also Porsche Certified techs. I found it odd that the Porsche dealer would send out a car for repairs, but impressed none ths less. Being a mechanic and also not trusting a car dealer i asked the salesman for proof of repairs by picture and documentation. To my surprise, the next day i recieved the pictures of my soon to be car on the lift with the trans out and all repairs being done. When i picked my car up at the dealer a few days later i was not only given the pics and documents to prove the $3200 worth of work was done (also included alignment, oil change, slave cylinder and a think a few other items) but was even told that if i needed any work done in the future i should see them as they again are Porsche techs and are a lot cheaper then the dealer.... Again i know that i cant speak much for Drivers Choice as i have never dealt with them myself, it speaks highly about them if the dealer recomends i take my car to them. I am also the kind of person who researchs alot and can also vouch that if you go on several forums (namely Rennlist) you will find tons and tons of referrals and highly satisfied customers in Central Florida. Again, i am a fellow Mechanic and should say come to my shop, but if you have a Porsche and want it to be taken care of......see the guys at Drivers Choice.....glad to see another shop giving mechanics a good name.
